I have to say that I've been very pleased with this place. They are located in a convenient strip mall, on Tatum and thunderbird. Large parking to accommodate a busy area. The attendants have always been very informative, kind and seem to know the ins and outs of their job. They have given helpful tips for lotions and what type of bed or tanning routine would beat fit your lifestyle/ budget. They have many different bed options at all different price points. Many times there are promos and discounts- so watch for those! Inside has always been clean, they provide a variety of products in each individual room, deodorants, powders, mists, tissues, wipes, goggles, towels. If you ask you can even get a cold rolled towel! So I have a trip coming up and I thought I should even out my tan lines. I ran into SunChain. I used to go all the time, but I just got lazy. Their staff are super friendly and she looked me up quickly. I still had a prepaid tan (buy them and save money and they don't expire yippee) She even found my tanning lotion from a year ago!! She was so nice and knowledgeable. She doublechecked to make sure my tanning lotion had not expired. I didn't even know tanning lotion could expire. All in all I was in and out very quickly. Sunchain tanning is a great place to tan! They always get you right in, and offer you a cold towel if you need one. They also provide different products that you can use such as deodorant and spray. The tanning beds are also highly effected as I've noticed from tanning there. The prices are very affordable too! read more

I've had a good experience in the past at the Tempe location with the tanning beds, but had a horrible experience here with the mystic spray tan. My boyfriend and I went and we used the buy one get one coupon. We were both completely spotted and striped all over. The machine fogged up the entire room so bad you couldn't breath without a mouth full of spray tan fumes. This was not something I've ever seen before in other spray tan booths. The photos of us were taken the next day. We followed all of the instructions before and after. I would not recommend doing spray tans here to anyone. read more

I used to go to sunchain when I was getting ready for my senior year prom. Now I know tanning is bad for you, but sunchain offers both spray tan and beds. There is nothing knock out about the salon, but they have good deals and really nice people working there. They did a nice job redoing the building when they moved in, and as far as I know there aren't a lot of tanning salons in the area. Sun is free, but if you want a glow fast sunchain is fast, effective, and reasonable. read more

I like the fact that the prices are some of the best in the valley, I don't know about you but $24 a month for unlimited tanning at ALL 9 locations is pretty fantastic. They have cold towels and refresh baskets, since this is PHX and its currently May and over 100 degrees, this makes it possible to pop in, get your dose of Vitamin D and get back to your life. The staff is friendly without being pushy on sales, I know they don't make commission, so that makes me feel better when they make suggestions on lotions and upgraded beds. They educate you about how your skin tans, big step up from the lazy teenagers behind the counters at most salons... This place is always clean!! I am never concerned about tanning in a dirty bed or using the restroom. They have Jolly Ranchers on all your towels in the rooms and you can always ask for a different flavor if you don't particularly enjoy the one you were randomly given. While some of the staff is chattier than others I have never felt uncomfortable and always felt welcomed by a smile, a nod, or a greeting by my first name, depending on who is on shift. I will be tanning here for sure while I live in AZ!! read more

The beds and rooms are always very clean. All rooms have a basket of items you might need for sprucing up after tanning and a cold rolled towel if you request it! Sunchain is by far one of the best tanning salons, all the girls that work there are very knowledgeable and you are in and out in 10 minutes.
