Whenever I go visit my family in Ramona I stop by Sun Valley Florist because I know I'll get a great mixture of beautiful flowers and I trust Frankie to take good care of me!!! She always gets creative and comes up with a vibrant smorgasbord of flowers that my family loves and that smells so great!!! I have no idea about flowers, I love them but I don't know what they're called or anything like that. But Frankie is patient and I enjoy it when she drops knowledge on me as she is putting together her floral masterpieces for me!!! I'm not usually one to post a poor review but after months of debating I finally decided that I would rather leave an honest review in hopes that their service may improve. Last autumn I was looking for a florists to use for my wedding. I tried Sun Valley first because it was close to the wedding venue and I like to use small businesses when I can. I don't know if the person who helped us was upset that we came inside while they were out smoking so their break was cut short or what but she was incredibly short with my mother and I. She didn't seem to have any real interests in wanting my business because every idea or picture I showed for possible bouquet ideas were basically shot down or told we couldn't get those flowers or anything similar. We did not stay long because I was uncomfortable and felt like they didn't want us there anyways so we politely advised we'd think up other ideas and left. I see others reviews with better scenarios so I don't know if we caught her (found out it was the owner after the fact) on a bad day but unfortunately that was my experience and thanks to that I do not feel comfortable going back. read more

Beware of this florist. I ordered flowers in the morning for a same day delivery. I ordered from the Sun Valley Florist website. I paid for a $60 Bouquet plus an extra handling/delivery fee. I received a confirmation number and thought I was all set. That night I receive a cancellation email telling me they could not deliver because they couldn't find a florist in Ramona... odd since I made the order from Sun Valley Florist in Ramona. Flower shopping.com is an unreliable company and by default so is Sun Valley Florist! They are refunding y money but I'm left embarrassed . This is the rudest florist we have ever dealt with. My wife simply called to inquire about getting my son his Prom corsage and boutineer. The lady that answered the phone raised her voice and very snotily exclaimed "I'm working on mother's day orders and I have told everyone not to call about Prom orders until Monday!" I am so very happy with the flowers I have received from Frankie at Sun Valley Florist. Frankie is a very creative artist. She gives to her community with love and grace. My last floral arrangement lasted over 2 weeks. Much longer than other arrangements I have received from other florists. She did arrangements for the Ramona Woman's Club that seemed to last forever. No. No. No. I used them once and I will not use Sun Valley Florist again. I like to keep my money in my community supporting small businesses so I called Frankie to provide for me a dozen and a half, red rose, pageant-style bouquet to give to my instructor from her class. I did everything Frankie said - Keep the bouquet cool, and on an incline to keep the rose stems in the water vials provided. When it was time to present the bouquet - which was a mere few hours after pick-up, half of the roses were open and droopy/flimsy and the bouquet was a mess....an expensive, droopy mess. I was embarrassed to give them to my teacher. read more

I use Frankie for my floral needs, some are last minute orders... but Frankie always makes perfect suggestions and her designs are lovely. I met Frankie years ago... to assist with my daughter's wedding. Daughter was "set" in her flower design for her wedding bouquet and all other flowers... Frankie made my daughter's bouquet EXACTLY as she wanted it to be. It was Gorgeous and she even incorporated an heirloom handkerchief from Great-grandmother in to the bouquet. It was stunning !!! ... For Christmas, my mom sent me a Teleflora bouquet with a beautiful red vase...this florist did not have the vase and instead of sending something comparable sent the bouquet in an everyday plastic floral tub. I called and suggested perhaps they forgot the vase and when confronted, the florist launched into a spiel about how she didn't have any of those vases, didn't have anything comparable, couldn't order it in time, would have to order a case of 12, etc. etc. I guess customer service is really dead!! And even after all her whining and offering "free arrangement" or "vase" or "what do you want me to do?!", in the spirit of Christmas I let her off the hook and said I didn't want anything but you can bet that I will never use this florist and I will pass the word to my many Ramona friends and neighbors. Sorry but flowers are expensive and in this economy you should get what you pay for!!! read more
