I was also worried about calling in a professional, wary of turning what had been a free find into an incredibly expensive one. Eventually I bit the bullet, and called Artcraft. I worked with Cindy, who is truly wonderful. She was prompt about getting back to me, and gave her own suggestions while being careful to listen to what I was asking for. She clearly understands the sentimental value of the furniture she gets, in addition to its monetary value. I was also initially worried about replacing the damaged casters and caster sleeves of the chair--she did an amazing job! She found period matches for one chair, and completely replaced the wheels of another, which had been modified at some point in its past. She was also very sharp in her assessment of the materials and time period of the pieces, which was especially helpful given these chairs' unknown history. The rates were very reasonable, and the work was completed before the date she gave. She also has a nice collection of antiques, if you're in the market for something. I have attached photos of the chairs, but they do not do the work justice. They're so lovely!

Ruben was prepping the tub for resurfacing and found that it didn't need anything but a buff and drain plug replacement. Although the tub looked dull and grimy no matter how I cleaned it and the drain and plug had nasty hard water damage, the work required to fix my tub was less involved than he first thought. I am thankful to have found him because I was really worried I was going to have to buy a new tub. My tub looks great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others and hire him again. We needed to have 4 wooden gates on our property replaced, and we wanted them to match the door they had installed so long ago. SWIW still had the original build information, and the gates match perfectly. The gates are gorgeous and of the highest quality. SWIW isn't the least expensive option, but in our opinion they are the best. The office staff is courteous and competent and the installers are amazing--professional, polite, neat and tidy. They really took their time installing the gates and did a perfect job. While there was a fairly long wait, the gates were constructed to a custom order. Custom orders always take longer than stock items, and it is worth the wait.
