A cherished antique dining room table was damaged in a move from Phoenix to Tucson. I requested…read morebids on Yelp for someone to repair it. I got several messages about the project, but Matt Neel was the only one who followed through on every step of the bid, and he wasn't weird about it. He didn't pressure me to accept the bid before I was ready, like one of the other businesses did. And on top of everything else, the bid he gave me was the most reasonable in terms of price! As far as his work goes, it's excellent! My table looks beautiful. The repairs aren't noticeable at all. He also strengthened the table legs so that they would be less likely to break in the future. I'm so pleased. The one possible caveat I would issue is that working with Matt required a bit of patience. He is busy and takes on new projects as he has time. There was also a health issue that set back the date at which he could return my table. This wasn't a problem for me; I understand that things come up sometimes, and given how reasonable his rates are, it seemed only fair to me to be flexible when he said he needed more time. If you also can be flexible about time, I think Matt is the best guy to hire for your project.

During an entire kitchen and bathroom remodel in Spring 2022 we had them remove our old floor tile and later install new tile in about half of the home, as well as fully demo and build a bathtub enclosure and finish it with subway tile. We also had them fully demo a walk-in shower and fully remodel it with new subway tile and niche. John and Ed thoroughly educated us on the entire process that is required to waterproof the surface on which the tile was set. These guys know everything about correctly preparing any surface on which they installed tile. John and Ed were extremely patient with our entire remodel timeline as they had to work around and coordinate with plumbers and cabinet installers during the entire process. John helped us in finding local tile stores that he usually coordinates with to order, pick up, and deliver tile and supplies to our garage. John and Ed were the only craftsmen we hired during this entire project that were capable of their craft without us looking over their shoulder. You could give your house keys to John and Ed and they can complete their tile work without any baby-sitting. They are both of unquestionable integrity, extremely honest and hard-working, and they kept a clean working environment every day. We would definitely hire them again!

They may do well with furniture and the like, but I had a crappy experience with having 3 shadow boxes made for 3 tapestries. I am so disappointed, but the attitude that I got when I pointed out the issues with the finished products, was dismissive and borderline gas-lighting. The measurements were off, the colors for the finished products was not done before delivery. Chris actually made a second trip and stained all 3 pieces, outside my front door on the back of his truck? Who does that? So uncool. I hate that I paid over $1000 for these boxes. I had to take the largest one to the Arizona Frame store, where it was made to look like it mattered to the framer. I will never use him again, or recommend him to anyone I know.

We hired Flooring Direct to refloor our approximately 700 sqft living room with tile. The most…read moredifficult part of the job would be the curving steps into this space as you can see in the pictures. Where others said it couldn't be done or offered solutions that were not tile, Flooring Direct said they could do it. I'll admit that it was a challenge to fully conceptualize how to do it but working with Moji and our installer, Jose, I believe the results justify the effort. The old carpet quickly came out and the initial part of the tile that was straight went in in about two days. Jose spent some time cutting and grinding to get the tiles to match the curving steps but was all finished by the following Friday. Jose and his assistant, Gustavo, were both courteous & professional throughout the project as was Moji who came by often to check on the progress and to be sure we were satisfied with how it was coming together. All the steps from tile selection through scheduling, layout, designing transitions, grout selection and final cleanup, were all pleasant. Would not hesitate to use them in the future and highly recommend them for your consideration.

The outsourced installers said that it would not leave a mark. And, of course it was stained. How could the installers spill something on the brand new carpet? How did it get there? I asked the owner to replace the section of carpet where the installers spilled something. No, Navid refused. Sleazebag owner operator. Then he sends me the invoice with updated charges with a payment due date which was 5 days in the past making it seem like I am overdue even though the job was not complete yet. After reviewing his before and after pictures I reached out by email. He replied quickly and asked to view areas in person for an estimate. Oscar arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. He spotted problems we didn't know we had ourselves. We had some scratching on one counter that he was not sure he could resolve. We asked him to try and we made an appointment for his work. Oscar and one other worker arrived on time and placed down mats to protect our floor leading to our bathroom, and taped up an area in our bathroom to limit the dust particles. Originally he estimated 5-6 hour work time but he was able to complete the work in 3.5 hours. Our marble countertop slabs have not looked this beautiful since we had them installed 25 years ago. They are so shiny and look new again! He was able to get all the scratches and water spots out. He then sealed the marble. Our travertine floors look amazing too. He did his magic and sealed the floors as well. Both surfaces are very porous so we were unsure what could be done. We highly recommend Oscar's business to you. There is no way we could have done this for the price he charged us. We are very pleased with his work!
