When she was finally tall enough to peek through the car window, she would bark so loud at the dogs crossing the street that people thought we were murdering her. We thought she would learn from her older packs: an 8 year old female Belgium Malinois and a 11 year old male German Shepherd Dog. We were wrong. She bullied the older dogs. Thank goodness we found Enrique Guey through Omar's Doza Dogs in Palo Alto. We enrolled Ana through Omar's Board and Train program. Ana came back a completely different dog after 5 + weeks. She was able to go on walks with Omar's packs. She was able to board with them without incidents. The biggest surprise was that she was able to go on weekly walks with Enrique's clients' dogs at Stanford Shopping Mall. I would highly recommend anyone who has similar situations to start this training course with Enrique and boarding at Omar's. This is a perfect combination where your dog gets training routines on a daily basis. Omar's team is very friendly and professional. They will screen all the dogs before adding them to the group walk. This is the best of the best team! Totally worth the price compare to the big brand K9 training company. I have also used Ryland specifically with my anxious bulldog for training. My bulldog is deaf and also a rescue so there were many challenges when it came to training him. Ryland showed me different ways to mark his positive behavioral patterns and switch up the negative patterns in an effective way. He was super patient, gracious, and never made me feel like I was the bad owner or my dog was a bad dog. We were having a behavior problem with our older dog Pepper. He is 11 and this was a new problem…read more He has always been the sweetest, best behaved dog. But in the past several months he began odd behavior. He began growling, particularly in the evenings, often at nothing. Just walking around. Sometimes, if he heard a noise upstairs. If our other dog came to the stairs, he would growl. If my son or daughter came down the stairs, he would get up on his hind legs and put his feet on them, bare his teeth and growl. And of course, like many small dogs, the barking. In excitement when people came over, and in response to every sound. We met with Vivianne and she was amazing! She taught us some games to play with Pepper to build his confidence. She also taught us many different techniques to manage his behaviors. Over time the growling and the aggression have stopped. We have learned his triggers, and how to avoid them, and how to redirect him. Friends and family are impressed with how quiet he is when they come over to visit! My pups have very different personalities and she knows how to manage them both, with ease. In fact, I think my lab mix loves Shelly more than she loves our own family (I can't blame her, as I don't take her to the beach nearly as frequently!). Shelly also send me photo updates of the fun they are having during the day, which I love (though it often makes me regret my desk-job). When she drops them off at home in the afternoon, Shelly takes the extra few minutes to wipe any remaining sand off them. This is much appreciated, as one of the dogs inevitably launches into my son's bed directly upon reentry. We also board our pups with Shelly when we travel (which we do frequently) and it's great to know that my dogs are getting all the love and attention they need. I've used various doggy daycare facilities in the past, with varying levels of success. There's no doubt that my dogs are happiest with Shelly. She spoils them -- in a good way -- and her house is their "home away from home."

They are also able to trim my vizsla's nails, even though he is pretty resistant and has very quick reflexes. Three years ago, our dog did get bit by another dog and their response was top-notch. They called us immediately, reviewed footage from their security camera to check which dog did the biting, and then informed us that this dog was not invited back to the center. Also, if you ever need to pick up your dog with a child in the car, you can text them to ask them to bring your dog out to the car - super helpful if you don't want to wrangle both your dog and your child at the same time!
