    Such a well behaved bunch!

Can't recommend RTPG more! Our two pups are so well taken care of that we have no anxiety when we travel. All the dog handlers we have had the pleasure of meeting are lovely...Marco, Rob, Sal We are so grateful!

Highly recommend Ry and his wonderful team for daycare, training, and boarding. We love Gabe who takes our big boy Jerry (far left in photo) out with the dog group three days a week. Jerry loves his time with his paw pals!

Ryland and his team always take great care of my dog. I'm a very particular dog mom and I don't trust just anyone to watch my dog, Fleuf. In fact she has a whole vitamin regimen that would probably go over any regular dog sitter's head and she wears shoes on walks, so it takes a committed team to ensure my dog is taken care of exactly the way I like. I also love that Ryland and his team work on my dog's training and leash walking skills while she is there. Fleuf always comes home so exhausted from all the fun she has with Ryland and his team. Thanks Ryland!!

I couldn't recommend Ryland and his team more highly! I had to leave my 4 year old frenchie Riot with Ryland for 2 weeks, and he had the best time. Ryland knows how to handle dogs with different temperaments perfectly - Riot can sometimes be difficult when he's around bigger dogs, but after the 1st day and 1st pack walk with Ryland, Riot was already making friends. My wife and I got frequent pics and updates about all the fun Riot was having, and felt completely comfortable and safe knowing that Riot was in such good hands. If we ever have to leave Riot for a trip again, we'll definitely plan to leave him with Ry again!

I am a helicopter dog mom who is very fussy about dog care. Having tried local daycare only to have brought fleas home, I was lucky to learn of a "home" and garden in Los Altos run by a fellow named Ry. Ry came to visit my home to meet my beasts and was so Cesar Millanesque, with a gentle demeanor and intelligent manner, I felt comfortable sending my wild child, Lizzie, to try out daycare. Ry's associates do a home pick-up and delivery at end of the day. They text and send photos during the day to keep in touch. Lizzie runs around with her new boy and girlfriends and comes home tired and happy. I even boarded her for 10 days while on a trip away. I'm thrilled with Ry and all of his staff. They love dogs and it shows......

If you're looking for a trustworthy and caring place to leave your dog, look no further than RTPG. As someone who had never left my dog alone, I was understandably nervous about leaving him in the care of strangers. But from the moment I dropped off my pup, Indy, I knew he was in good hands. The team at RTPG are true dog whisperers, and had Indy comfortable and happy from day one. Throughout my trip overseas, they kept me updated with pictures of Indy on epic walks with his new friends, and I could see from his eyes that he was having the time of his life. They even helped Indy overcome his fear of bigger dogs, and gave me tips on how to be the best owner possible. When I picked Indy up, he was better adjusted than when I left him, and eager to return to RTPG. Their facilities are spotless, they come and pick up your pupper and drop him off for daycare as well. Overall, I can't recommend RTPG and their team enough. They truly care about the dogs in their care and go above and beyond to ensure they have a great experience. If you're looking for a place where your dog can be safe, happy, and have an adventure, look no further than Ry The Pet Guy.

This guy and his group of dog caretakers are awful. We paid $1600 for one week of dog care for two pugs. When they returned, they both had kennel cough and my older pug (9M) was being pulled out of their transport van using a slip lead around his neck, causing him to jump over one foot down which he can't see- he is blind, and this was noted to Ry. This awful guy that brought me the pugs back to the meeting spot kept pulling him by his neck. They both had to go to the vet. One dog had a massive 3+ anaerobic ear infection. They other was dehydrated.

    Pack walks!

Our two dogs love it here SO MUCH! The first time they were picked up they were hesitant and didn't want to leave our yard. Now, they freak out in the best way when they see the van, knowing they are about to go have some adventures with their other pup friends :) they always come home happy and worn out, a sign of a fun day. On the human side, I love the pick up and drop off service, as well as how easy they are to communicate with and book. We are so happy we found Ry and the crew!

Finding good dog care in the bay feels hard. In particular when you have a rescue with behavioral issues and a lot energy, it takes a true "dog person" to understand, care, and tolerate - dare I say love - your crazy anxious pup. Ry's team, specifically Lex, does that and more. To be frank and balanced in my review I was initially skeptical. We had a rocky start with some communication mishaps and missed daycare that made me worried. I often had my pup picked up by different people, and that didn't help her anxiety. But then, things started to get sorted out. The guys started showing up the same time on her daycare days. Then Lex ended up being the one to reliably pick her up. Then they set up an online portal with great self-scheduling features and a thoughtful client relations manager. Now I take for granted that 2 days a week my sweet anxious girl will explode with excitement when Lex shows up on time or even early to take her on lovely pack walks where they take amazing group pictures. And she is dropped off at the same time, happy, tired, and living her best puppy life. I say all of this in the hopes of showing the story of RTPG's growth in the past 6 months alone. This is a group of dog-loving, gentle, kind people who care about your dog and are worth your trust. The logistics may be a little rocky in the beginning, but trust the process. There is nothing more promising than seeing improvement like this - it means everyone is motivated and cares, and that's the most important thing. PS. I was sold on Ry's after I saw the way a former RTPG employee returned my Kelly girl. He didn't know I was watching him, and as he walked her up my driveway, he knelt down, gave her a big hug and a kiss on the top of the head. I'm not sure if she cares much for hugs or kisses, but it said a lot about him, how he cared for my pup, and RTPG as a whole. Also, the bandanas!! So many smiles.

I have decades of experience fostering dogs and personally adopting many of my own, and over the years I've worked with a wide range of trainers. Without question, Steve is in a league entirely of his own. His talent, intuition, and depth of understanding when it comes to dogs is extraordinary. He doesn't just train dogs; he teaches humans how to truly understand them. What made the experience even more unforgettable was the joy he brought into the day. We laughed constantly. At one point my cheeks genuinely hurt from hours of smiling and laughter. And yet, amid all of that warmth and humor, we walked away with an incredibly clear, grounded, and practical understanding of his methods and a deep sense of confidence in our ability to apply them. Steve's approach is refreshingly doable: just five minutes of training per day, paired with his ongoing availability as a resource. That combination alone feels invaluable. We literally just completed our training day today, so I plan to update this review in a few months with more detail about long-term ease of execution and results with our dog, Griffin. But one thing I feel compelled to share now is this: throughout the entire day, even while Griffin was dramatically protesting (vocally, and with flair), Steve remained calm, steady, and completely unfazed. Griffin didn't love everything he was being asked to do, but he clearly adored Steve. He never cowered, never shut down, never showed fear. That level of trust speaks volumes. At one point, I asked Steve about scheduling an additional training day for one of our other dogs. His response was thoughtful, sensible, and deeply ethical: he told me it wouldn't be necessary. He explained that the principles I was learning with Griffin would absolutely apply to our other dogs as well, and that he'd be more than happy to answer questions along the way. That moment really matters to me because it so clearly reflects that Steve is driven by genuine passion and care for people and dogs, not by squeezing every possible dollar out of his clients. I also want to wholeheartedly acknowledge Tasha, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and compassionate throughout the scheduling process. We had to cancel our original training day due to a traumatic injury our other dog, Enzo, sustained: a spinal stroke. Tasha immediately offered to refund our deposit without hesitation. When I shared that I still very much wanted to work with Steve, she later went out of her way to find us an earlier date than originally offered after I asked to be notified of any cancellations. That level of care and humanity meant so much during a really difficult time. I am profoundly grateful for Steve and his entire team. This was one of the most positive, affirming, and empowering experiences I've ever had as a dog guardian. If you're looking for the best, congratulations. You have found it with One Day Dog Training!

We had specific training goals, and we wanted to start immediately to establish a strong foundation. She is now 17 weeks old and after our email to you on February 2nd we have attempted to contact you four separate times (via email, Yelp, NextDoor, and US mail) with no response until now. As I've explained, we've already established a relationship with another trainer and are happy with our progress. While I appreciated the introductory phone call explaining your philosophy and the emailed articles, these were preliminary to the actual training session we paid for. The $190 payment was specifically for the virtual training session with our 9-week-old puppy that never occurred. Had this been a misunderstanding, there have been multiple opportunities to clarify, including on February 3rd. When we set our appointment it was to accommodate your schedule, as you were not available till even later in the evening the day before. We had explained that we were flexible, but that scheduling a training session for our puppy late in the evening was not setting her up for success. If anything but a late evening training session was going to be problematic for your schedule this could have been communicated during the introductory call, rather than taking our payment and then not responding to our emails. At this point, we simply need you to process the $190 reimbursement without further delay. The payment was for a service that was not delivered, and we have made multiple respectful requests, including a certified letter with a March 21st deadline which has now passed without resolution. While we are preparing to proceed with the legal remedies outlined in that communication, we would still prefer to resolve this matter directly and promptly with a full refund of the $190 payment for the virtual training which was never delivered.

I had some concerns about leash training and how my dog responded to visitors at the door. Jared guided us with step by step approaches that were easy to follow. She was quiet and a bit confused in those early days, and we honestly didn't know what "normal" even looked like. We started working with Jared literally the day after we brought her home, and that made all the difference. What stood out right away is that he doesn't just train the dog, he helps you understand your dog's psychology. That shift was huge for us. Instead of guessing or reacting, we started to feel like we actually knew what she needed and how to respond. He guided us through the basics like potty training and getting her to sleep through the night, and once those clicked, life got dramatically easier. More importantly, he gave us a framework we can keep using as new challenges come up. Our puppy still has some separation anxiety and can be a bit needy, but now it feels manageable. We're making steady, incremental progress and feel confident we have the tools to keep going. Jared has also been great with our whole family. He builds trust quickly, explains things clearly, and makes everyone feel comfortable and capable. You never feel judged or overwhelmed. If you're a first-time dog owner, especially with a young puppy, I'd strongly recommend working with him early. It sets the right foundation and saves you a lot of stress down the line.
