I have also used Ryland specifically with my anxious bulldog for training. My bulldog is deaf and also a rescue so there were many challenges when it came to training him. Our family had…read moreShelly take our dog daily to Fort Funston, almost daily, for over 3 years and he boarded with Shelly at her home on several occasions while we were on vacation. During this period, there were multiple times where Shelly would forget to pick up our dog, would be extremely late, would claim she had car problems, or that she felt sick. Our dog loved going to "the beach" and Shelly would tell us cute stories about our dog and say he loves "Auntie Shelly," so we gave Shelly the benefit of the doubt. Then Apple came out with the AirTag.... With the AirTag, you can actually see where your dog is. At first it was fun seeing where my dog was... but then, we came to realize, he wasn't always where Shelly said he was. It was odd seeing our dog didn't leave Shelly's house one single time while boarding with her for an entire week in 2021. We knew that sometimes, they'd go to Fort Funston, and never leave the parking lot. We knew that sometimes, Shelly would "take our dog to the beach," but they'd actually be at her house. On those occasions, I'd directly ask how the beach was, and she'd respond with a lie, talking about how fun it had been. Soon, Shelly started to realize that the range of an Airtag was much better than the Tile. And, that's when the Airtag would "fall off" our dog's collar. For those who've looked into Airtag attachments on dog collars, the attachment mechanism is very reliable and difficult to take off. So, I'm stumped as to how TWO different AirTags just "disappeared" from my dog's collar within days of each other. It's as if someone purposely took it off, and I suspect Shelly did because those AirTags exposed all her bad habits and issues. But ultimately, I still gave Shelly the benefit of the doubt because she loved our dog. However, all good will was lost when we realized that she had been using an electronic collar on our dog. We NEVER gave our consent for this and I NEVER would have consented, because our dog has an epileptic disorder and is prone to SEiZURES. Any vet will tell you that electronic collars on epileptic dogs are not considered safe, and in fact, the packaging on electronic dog collars indicates this as well. These seizures started after our dog started seeing Shelly. Shelly knew about these seizures and one time Shelly told us our dog had a seizure while in her care, and she told me how she and the other dogs comforted our dog. Unbelievable! Looking back at some of Shelly's photos from Fort Funston, I always wondered about these bright orange dog collars, and now I realize they were electronic collars. Our vet says that any dog walker who uses an electronic collar is just too lazy to take care of the dogs in their care. In addition, Shelly claims she is a licensed and insured commercial dog-walker. Also, if you call San Francisco's Animal Control, you will find Shelly is not licensed. I imagine because it costs money (and she loves money) and some work (and she's lazy) to get this license: https://www.sfanimalcare.org/services/dog-walkers-permit/ Eight dogs is the maximum per walker that is allowed at Fort Funston. On most days, Shelly and her contractors will all have more than 8 dogs in their care IF they make it out to Fort Funston. So, if you're comfortable with someone who is dishonest about your dog's whereabouts, has too many dogs in her care, and uses an electronic collar, this is the dog walker for you.

Ana was a rescue dog when we picked her up at 8 weeks old in January 2024. When she was finally tall enough to peek through the car window, she would bark so loud at the dogs crossing the street that people thought we were murdering her. We thought she would learn from her older packs: an 8 year old female Belgium Malinois and a 11 year old male German Shepherd Dog. We were wrong. She bullied the older dogs. Thank goodness we found Enrique Guey through Omar's Doza Dogs in Palo Alto. We enrolled Ana through Omar's Board and Train program. Ana came back a completely different dog after 5 + weeks. She was able to go on walks with Omar's packs. She was able to board with them without incidents. The biggest surprise was that she was able to go on weekly walks with Enrique's clients' dogs at Stanford Shopping Mall. I would highly recommend anyone who has similar situations to start this training course with Enrique and boarding at Omar's. This is a perfect combination where your dog gets training routines on a daily basis. Omar's team is very friendly and professional. They will screen all the dogs before adding them to the group walk. This is the best of the best team! Totally worth the price compare to the big brand K9 training company. (which I also enrolled Ana prior to Enrique) Highly recommend the training and boarding program! Worth every penny! Just imagine your ADHD dog walking with you at Stanford Shopping Center.
