I stopped into Sun Touch on Saturday afternoon, interested in learning more about tanning packages because my previous tanning salon doesn't seem to ever want to open on time. So. I walked in and the place is really cute. There is a little waiting area to the left, along with some merch against the left side wall. The register and additional products are to the right and the rooms are all sort of to your right when you walk in. The air brush seems to be in the back room off the waiting area. First, there is a lot of merchandise to choose from. More than just your typical bottles of bronzer and accelerator, they have tons of different stuff ... like if you forgot your lip balm, they have sample lip balms for sale. There are different types of deodorizing towelettes you can use if you don't want to smell like the tanning bed when you leave. Also, you can even purchase disposable undergarments if you are spray tanning. The list of prices is available in printed brochures as well as a white board that features monthly specials. Of note, if you pay in cash you get freebie sessions (so I paid in cash and got 8 sessions for the price of 6). There are three levels, but the cost between level 2 and level 3 is only $2.00 so I elected to buy a package for level 2 and just eat $2 in the event I feel like I need more oomph. Based on my first time, I don't think I need more oomph at this point. I got a large amount of color the first time in the bed, and Judy, who was working the front desk, was very quick to suggest a lower window of time in the bed so I ease my way into the whole process. Everything was clean and tidy. The bed I used looked old, but the bulbs were definitely strong. Didn't have any fancy face bulbs, but I usually turn them off anyway, so I didn't mind. Everyone says the spray tans are amazing, so I think that for the summer, I'll tan a couple times to enhance what I get at the beach and then in the wintertime I'll go in for a spray time to keep the glow. Packages DO expire, so be sure to keep that in mind when you are purchasing. Don't buy more than you think you'll use. read more

The first time I went here, I used a Groupon and had a good experience. Eight months later, I needed another spray tan. I didn't think I could use a Groupon here again, but it said right at the top, "Buy It Again: You can purchase this deal 2 more times." So I bought it, timed my appointment perfectly (right before my vacation), showered/exfoliated, and drove 25 minutes to the salon. When we were discussing which shade I was going to get, I mentioned what my Groupon was for, and she said I couldn't use it because I've already used one there. I mentioned it said I could buy it up to 3 times, and she said, "Groupon makes us put that, but we don't honor it. One per person." I politely pointed out that, A) That's false advertising, B) They shouldn't use Groupon if they're not going to honor their policies, and C) If they were to do something this unethical, they should at least ask over the phone if I was using one so they could give me a heads up instead of making me go all the way there to find out when gas was $4.50/gal. First the employee, then the owner, wouldn't budge on this, even when I was standing there, prepped, paid, and ready to go. I was so put off by how unethical/heartless they were and wouldn't budge at all after I did nothing wrong and they were the ones who bait and switched me. I walked out and got a refund on my Groupon...I preferred to give myself a mediocre fake tan than give them another dime. I'm sure there are plenty of good places to get a spray tan around you...don't give your business to a morally-corrupt company like Sun Touch Tanning Salon. read more

I got my first airbrush spray tan here at Sun Touch. First of all, you cannot beat the price as a first time customer ($12). The staff was friendly and my tan looks great. I tried this place last week on the recommendation of a friend- I'd never been spray tanning before. They let me know everything I should do before and after to help keep the tan, made me feel totally comfortable, and did a great job. People's reaction was exactly what I had wanted- once I mentioned I'd gone spray tanning they said "I was going to ask you if you'd been somewhere because you definitely look tanner, but it's not extremely dramatic so I wasn't sure..." The color actually lasted a couple days longer than I expected. I've now told a couple other people about it and plan to go back with them soon even though I live in JP (went here the day I did because I was going out in Quincy that night). The one thing was that even though I knew the address, once I got there I wasn't totally sure the place was in there- it's off a hallway of a building with several other businesses, and I didnt' see the sign outside. But, it's there and it's worth it. read more

I think I was initially drawn to Sun Touch because of the reasonable prices but now I wouldn't go anywhere else for a spray tan. I always feel totally comfortable and I've never been disappointed with the results. The staff is really great about answering any questions. For example, the last time I went in I was peeling from a recent sunburn and I got great, honest advice about maintaining my glow. I would suggest reading the super helpful pamphlet they give out regarding spray tan maintenance. Lotions with mineral oils deactivate the tanning agent. Without that pamphlet I would have been a (not so) hot mess. read more

As a first time customer they make a great impression. They took me right at my appointment time, they explained and answered any and all of my questions and the salon is very clean. I have found with my fair skin a lot of salons sometimes leave streaks or are not able to make the tan look as 'natural', but I was very impressed with the end result! Like many other reviewers, I came here for a spray tan. I'll admit, I was a little nervous because I was attending a wedding the next day and I didn't want to look like a victim of an explosion at the basketball factory. However, everyone else had a great review and I figured I would try it. Paula did an awesome job and was completely professional about the whole experience. She answered all my questions -- when the bronzed would run off and not to freak out. She informed me that after I took a shower the next morning everything would look even. It took about five minutes to apply and it was $24. The color looks great and I had a great time. I will definitely be back to visit Paula for another application!! read more

Paula is supernice, spray tanner not so much! I bought a deal here for supercheap and was actually planning on going again afterwards if it was good...and it's not! I have had several spray tans before. Even after paying extra to get the darker shade, I was only as dark as one of the Jergens lotions at CVS would have made me, except I was more streaky this time! It was very light, my face was darker than my body and it was actually orange, streaks on my arms, white patches on my knees...and all this would have cost $35 if I had come back?!?! This has not happened at other locations, just this one because the equipment used is probably limited and cheap in terms of color. If this is just to go to the beach and you got a good deal for UNDER $20 I would say sure, fine, whatever as it wasn't horrible and customer service was great. But if this is a big event, or you want to look dark then do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I had to go pay extra for another spray tan the next day to fix this and it ended up costing me more in the end. GROUPON DISAPPOINTMENT Not a bad experience; no experience at all No, I made an appointment and they were closed when I arrived. No one bothered to call me to cancel/reschedule my appointment. It took me 45 mins. to get, then another 45 to return home in bad weather. Lost my $$$. Since I was leaving for vacation the next day, I walked over to "Glow" and they fit me in immediately & gave me a great sunless tan. Both Paula and Rita do a great job. I was super nervous about getting spray tanned but Paula put me at ease and gave me simple, detailed instructions how to extend the life of my tan. I have been sprayed at the highest of the high end champagne when you walk in the door type places, I've had technicians come to my house to spray me, I've sprayed at big chains, I've done every formula in the book - that being said, I have finally found a place that gets it right every single time. I've never had a better spray tan in my life, I can't figure out how they do it at Sun Touch but my tan ALWAYS comes out PERFECT. She set me up with a tan that would set and dry within my time window and helped me learn everything I needed to know to keep my tan looking nice. I got a spray tan here, my first spray tan ever, last week. I got the groupon so only paid $12. Although the price was low, the results werent what I was looking for. This was a test run before my wedding. While the cosmetic bronzer makes you look brown at first, I was a little orange/yellow from day 2 on. I am now bunch of different shades of yellow and white as most of it has rubbed off. It seems that they only have one shade of tanning solution, I was really looking for something a little "glowier", not orange. HOWEVER - Paula was a delightful person. I felt totally comfortable with her, maybe the tanning solution just isnt right for my fair complexion & blonde hair. read more

I have been going to Sun Touch on and off for a few years for spray tanning. I have tried all of their formulas and have had amazing luck. Their product makes you golden brown, NO orange tones at all! It seems to last about 6 days on me for the dark with tons of moisturizing. I tried the organic today and it had a wonderful smell. Make sure you read the fine print print for Groupon. I just spent $52 on a groupon but because I was a customer for a couple tanning sessions over two years ago and used a groupon that I receive as a gift at that time, they will not honor the Groupon that I just purchased. They just lost a customer. I also referred two other people here who purchased Groupon but they will be canceling those due to not wanting to support a place that doesn't honor returning customers. I would not go anywhere else on this planet to spray tan. Both Paula and Michelle are over the top friendly and I feel 100% comfortable with them spraying me in the nude. I bring my 4 year old daughter in sometimes as well and they have been so kind to provide her with some toys to play with to keep her entertained while I spray. The price is unbeatable, and even if they decided to raise their prices $20, I would still go. They have great programs for their spray customers like refer 3 people, get one spray free, and after 10 sprays you also get one free. They have recently added a 1 hr spray, which means i don't have to plan to spray 8 hours before need to shower. read more

First off Paula is fabulous. Makes you feel super welcomed and comfortable. Cute little salon. Fast and simple. But I think the spray tan all depends on your preference and skin tone! I loved the spray tan I got here! As long as you don't mind getting sprayed behind a curtain in a hair salon (which I don't), it is great. It is the end result that really matters and it was the best spray tan I've gotten. I have already booked another appointment for a wedding in August and I plan to bring a friend along. She got her tan done elsewhere for over $50 and hers was blotchy and her hands came out really weird. The spray I received from Paula at sun touch was even and natural looking. I'm hooked. I came here at first with a groupon. The people were friendly enough and the price was good so I decided to buy a package. My major complaint is that I couldn't use the whole package. It expires after 1 year I was told but I had no idea at the time that a giant tumor was growing on my liver. My last appointment was cancelled by the salon beachse there was a blizzard & 3 days later, I endAfter 3 months of hospital stays and operations I was finally in the clear and ready to begin my life again but was told I can't use my remaining sessions because they expired 5 days ago. I have been going to sun touch for occasional spray tans for a few years and they are the best! I am very pale and have red hair, and I've tried spray tans before for weddings and stuff and I always looked weird. But, sun touch does it by hand (not a booth) and it always comes out great.
