The idea came to me to get him a massage for his chronic back pain, so I asked around. Dun Artie kept coming up. Then I looked online. Also, great reviews. When I called, they were are helpful and nice as possible. They helped me schedule a massage perfect for a first time, kinda shy, great guy with neck and lumbar pain. Only $50! Plus, tip, which I was delighted to provide. When we first arrived, they were just wonderful with my very wary spouse. While he was giving me the stink eye, the woman who met us continued as if she couldn't see it. She took control in a polite, professional manner that almost put him at ease, but not quite. She addressed his concerns before he could even voice them. I still wasn't sure how he'd take it, but without even asking they led me to a beautiful waiting area right off the massage rooms. He was beaming after, and now can't wait until his next, already scheduled massage! His chronic pain has let up "a lot" for the first time ever. I was thinking he would need those awful shots again, but maybe, just maybe, not. The entire salon is beautifully and tastefully decorated in that earth tone, minimalist style that I find so peaceful and relaxing. It is beyond clean. It is immaculate. Each area is separated from another area to minimize noise and distraction. The attention to every detail was very impressive. I had to ask where the hair salon was! Why! Behind this door! There is also a shower and sauna, and everything you would need to leave this peaceful place and rejoin our busy, loud, dirty world. We have already booked massages for both of us a week out, and I'm going to let them style my hair. I usually hate hairdressers too and it does show, but this place, it's aura of peaceful competence inspires me to go for it. Really, when I think of the money we spend going out to eat, online...I'd rather come here! The peacefulness just stays with you. Guess you could say that one trip converted me. When she called me back I was nervous about how this was going to go. Was I going to have to stand naked, spread eagle while this complete stranger sprayed me down? She was SO kind and really made me feel comfortable. She told me I could leave on as much as I felt comfortable with or I could have on nothing at all. They never try to sell you the most expensive bottle of tanning lotion or any of the after lotions which is so comforting to someone who just started to tan. ABSOLUTE worst massage I've ever received. The lady spent more time putting the mint oil infront of my nose than actually massage my neck and shoulders, which was literally suffocating. I was also told that hot stone would be included. I had maybe 5 minutes of hot stone on my back and then another 5 minutes of her massaging my back. I'm carrying around a newborn and toddler all day so that was extremely upsetting. My husband booked this massage as a postpartum gift since I just went through an emergency c section and he just wanted me to have a day of relaxation. I left there extremely upset and frustrated instead of feeling good. I ended up leaving a review that night which I've never left a review in my life. And then they replied and was told in the reply if I was open to it they'd like to discuss this further. I called the spa 3 times and the first time I called I was told I would probably just get a refund and that I would be getting a call back.
