I called Taylor this morning crying, and she literally was an angel. (I know stuff happens and it was a different therapist all three times, but I haven't been able to get a massage in over two months because of it, versus when I was at this store I was able to get consistent care) This morning I got a call my massage was canceled, and after a 13 hour night shift I was emotionally wrecked. I called Taylor to discuss my membership and she helped put my account on a freeze, giving me time to use the credits I already had and even offered to call some of the stores up here to try and see what could be done about getting me in. She made a rough morning so much better, and it just reminded me how much I missed this location and everyone there (love and miss you too Theresa!!)

If you have curly, thick hair like myself I would not recommend Misty. She was friendly but had me…read morewait 45 minutes past my appointment time, left my cut to start another clients hair, and most importantly ignored practically everything I asked her to do. I told her I did not ever straighten or blow dry my hair and she did both. I asked to have it thinned very slightly and trimmed. I also asked her to put some layers in. She ended up straightening my hair so that it was flat, cutting less than an inch off, and thinning out HALF my hair volume. I left shaking and burst into tears as soon as I made it out the door. My curl pattern has been drastically affected months later. My hair will grow back eventually, but people with curly, thick hair, who wear it naturally will not have a great experience there.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with the Dermatology Center for Skin Health. The level…read moreof disorganization, incorrect interpretation of test results (was told that I had Lupus which wasn't accurate after my new dermatologist reviewed the same test results), lack of communication, and overall, toward patient concerns was unacceptable. No privacy at patient check-in's as you could hear everything while sitting in waiting room. Appointments were rushed by Maouad, questions were brushed off, and follow-up care was practically nonexistent. For a place that markets itself as patient-focused, the reality was the exact opposite. I left feeling unheard, dismissed, and no closer to resolving the issue I came in for. Finally left this place and found probably one of best dermatologist in Morgantow. Was sold (twice) their private label skin care products instead of being provided with the prescription medications needed. I would not recommend this practice to anyone seeking competent or attentive dermatological care.

Dealing with hair loss for any reason can be traumatic. I knew that I wanted a wig and I wanted…read morequality. I made a consultation appt with John Rutter salon and headed down to Cheat Lake, WVA. The first thing I noticed upon entering was the display of wigs on shelves sitting behind the desk. I don't normally see that in beauty parlors. Off to the side I saw they had hair extensions and a shelf for hair care products. Another thing I noticed that each hair station was in a private room as opposed to being "out on the floor" for more privacy. My appt was with Kristen and she took me to one of the rooms to discuss wigs. I didn't want human hair because of the cost factor and because they are a lot of maintenance. The only plus side is that they are long lasting. She suggested that a quality synthetic is the way to go. She noted that synthetic wigs are easy care and have an average 6 month span with proper care and usage. Still I could get more than 6 months depending on usage. We discussed wig care and I was told never to put your wig on a mannequin head. Instead they would provide me with a wig stand free with my purchase and style and wash my wig the first time. Their synthetic wigs cost more than what you would find online suppliers but they are well made and designed to resemble not only hair but the scalp as well. She brought in a couple of wigs and the first one I tried on was "love at first sight!" I had always wanted layered hair but with my thinning scalp could not do so. Now I can get the opportunity. The wig had layers and a lot of body that made me feel like a new person! Care is basically simple-use a vent brush with tips and a spray bottle of water. Two squirts and I'm done! It can't get easier than that. She matched my hair color, ordered my wig and told me it would be there in about a week's time. Once received then I would be called for a return visit for try on and adjustments. Wig orders require 50% down and balance due upon receipt. If you have medical reimbursement through your health insurance then they will give you an itemized receipt to submit to them. I also got to meet John the owner, and he went over some additional questions I had regarding scalp care and whether or not a wig cap or even a sleep cap was necessary. Everyone was friendly and very helpful to answer all my questions. John Rutter hair solutions is a full service hair salon that can meet any of your beauty parlor needs. Cards and checks are accepted as well as cash. I'm looking forward to getting my new wig and highly recommend this business!
