Don't go here. I signed up for a membership and when I came back to tan they told me I didn't have one and it never went through. I was charged for a membership 3 months in a row but when they looked on my account, they said they can't see a membership. When I called customer service they said they can't do anything and they don't see the charge. They put my card on someone else's account and did nothing about it. read more

My little sister and I came a few weeks ago for a spray tan. The employee couldn't create a profile for whatever reason so put my sister under a random profile. Worked fine and was done. We go back in today, the current employee was absolutely unwilling to help & was dismissive of our previous experience. There apparently was a 2 for $39.99. Because it was too difficult for the employee to allow myself & sister to each use one, we were dismissed. All it all, it appears training and education is lacking & unless you're willing to lay in a bed you're not worth their time. I hate that this was our experience but two times in a row speaks. read more

I understand that STC is one of the few tanning salons in the East Brainerd area, but they have some cleaning up to do. The bed I had to use was very dirty, and some of the beds don't work as well as others do. I think they just have some updating on tanning bed bulbs that they need to do. Also, I waited a very long time for anyone to show up at the front desk when I went in. There was no customer service until about 10 minutes of standing there waiting for a bed. read more

Went in tonight because I had seen an advertisement for the 5 dollar spray tan. I had visited this location about 2-3 weeks prior and had a wonderful experience so decided to return again. As my husband is dropping my daughter and myself out in the parking lot, we can see the $34 dollar a month spray tanning for a year advertisement, so he then gives me his credit card and tells me to go ahead and get a year of spray tan's because I had enjoyed them so much lately and had such great past experiences at this location, especially the one before tonight's. As soon as we walked in, it was an "issue" that my 6year old daughter was standing beside me, before the "manager" would even listen to me and what I was trying to do, she wanted my daughter to leave immediately? My daughter came to pay and get sprayed too, just like she has before at this same location at least twice before, but now she's telling me that because she can't find my daughters name in their computer system, that now she won't be able to get sprayed and she then preceded to tell me that she had to leave because she couldn't stay in the room with me whilst I sprayed (I could totally understand the UV tanning bed room, but the spray tan one?) AND she WOULD NOT be able to sit in the lobby and wait on me because she was quote "not babysitting" By this time, my daughter is tore, she's got crocodile tears running down her face, she has a pageant in the morning and just wanted to be tan like any other time she gets ready to go to one. I somehow managed to remain calm after being talked to and treated this way? I honestly have no idea how, looking back at how we were treated and talked to. It's at this point that I decided just to get my 5 dollar spray and not even ask about the year subscription to the spray tan for 34 bucks a month. I inform her that my daughter's dad, my husband was outside in the parking lot, and that I wasn't planning on leaving my child anywhere or in anyone else's care??? So finally she starts to pull up my name on computer and asked what I'm doing. I then tell her I saw a coupon for the 5 dollar spray tan, she then looked at my chart, tells me that they're out of the color I always use, some Malibu brown/bronze, and told me she could give me the "regular" color instead? (Whatever that is?) She tells me total and I pulled out a 20 dollar bill, she informs me they don't accept cash, so I pay with my card because I refuse to use my husband's card on this!!! The lady who walked in behind me, left before I even got to a bed? She was getting sprayed as well, I didn't hear them inform her of any colors missing, or that she was going to have to wait on a bed, but I was told I would have to wait. I'm trying to remain positive and as upbeat about this awful customer service I'm receiving.... Finally I get a spray tan bed, and it just shuts off halfway through and doesn't double spray my legs like I ALWAYS have done? I use the phone in the room to call the front desk. I explained that the bed had just shut off without double spraying my legs, just to have her put me on "hold" then pick the phone back up and proceed to tell me that ALL the spray tan beds are messed up right now and not double spraying the legs like they were supposed to be??? And that there was NOTHING she could do. So I asked who was manager on duty and said that I'd be up front after I got dressed. At the front desk is Drew the "manager" who had literally made a problem out of everything since my daughter and myself walked in... smh.. not once did Drew ever apologize about anything that had occurred, or did she offer a visit the next week and tell me that she hoped the machines would be fixed and have all the colors then. NOTHING!!!! She told me that my child was an "inconvenience to me" because I couldn't have her in there (even though she's gotten sprayed there?) This is where my Mama Bear replied with "No ma'am. No ma'am. My daughter IS NOT an inconvenience to me at all!!! Apparently she's been an inconvenience to you since we walked in though?" I hope and pray that this girl sees the wrong in her actions and her words to others. She told me that she didn't have to listen or "deal" with me and that I needed to leave. You don't have to tell me twice!!! I took my husband's credit card straight back to him and didn't join the spray tan's for a year like I had initially wanted to do. Drew seems to be on a "power" trip, and maybe should learn how to solve a problem, come up with a solution, anything but arguing with a guest in your establishment??? I was not trying to argue with this older woman at all, I was legit trying to figure out how everything went so wrong on this visit and what we were going to do to fix it. But I couldn't even get that out of her? To say I'm disappointed tonight is a total understatement!! read more

Come on, ladies! Got a Norvell spray tan yesterday for an event today, and it selectively only tanned the right side of my body, which is brown in comparison to the left side. The barrier cream applied to my Achilles and hands clearly didn't work either. They suckered me into buying $50 in product in addition to my tan, which apparently didn't help. I call to ask for advice, since my event is in HOURS, and there's an automated system that won't put me through to anyone. I try to leave a callback number, and that portion of the system isn't working either. Not to mention, none of these ladies was polite or smiled while I was in the store. This "branch" is 10X5 ( that's on a scale 1-5X5) ALL there are outstanding. I've been an STC customer for 10+ years.I have tanned in all of this areas salons, even in Jackson, TN & Cool Springs, TN. I went in today to get a spray tan, as I had paid for like 22 last year and was told that they never expire. When I went in today and was told that the only way I could use them was to unfreeze a membership by paying more.... what??????. I never knew I had a membership so i was extremely frustrated to say the least. I had only tanned 5 times since I had signed up for the 22 tans I was told I would have that wouldn't expire. The attendant behind the counter was more than helpful and went above and beyond customer service to make the issue right and I'm so thankful for people that care and make things right. So thank you for your help and for making the situation right! I appreciate it and now know that I have an end date to the tans I paid for. read more

I got a spray tan and I will not go back! It's uneven and orange-y. I followed the directions exactly and it didn't do the bottom back of my calves or the sides of my arms/torso so there is basically a white stripe on my side. The foot and hand cream didn't work so I have dark brown splotches on my hands and toes. read more

I regretfully went to this location, paid $40.00 to lay for 12 minutes in a bed that definitely was not worth that!! Person with me had spray tan, he had no clue how to do it and was offered no help! Then talked into buying $35.00 "primer" lotion for a one time situation. As I was talked into buying $107.00 worth of lotion, as well. You're customer service is a joke. Stated they are not responsible for telling/helping customers because they are not trained to do so and you're company is a franchise..hahaha!!! The bed was nice, however, they failed to turn bed on. Had to call the store from the bed. The number does not even connect you with the store you get a corporate connection. I had to put all my clothes back on and stand and wait as the girls were goofing around behind the counter read more

It always takes a long time to check in which is frustrating. Today i went over my lunch break. There are new people and as usual they just don't get how customer service works. Doesn't matter if they're new or seasoned - they don't get it. I watch one girl look at the line then walk past us and hide in the office. Another new girl comes up and is just plain rude. Doesn't pay attention to me at all. Asks my name twice, looks at my eyewear and i put it up only to have her ask me for it again 2 min later. Don't ask my name or my birthdate - if I wanted that made public in a room of 20 people I would go somewhere that doesn't have a scan card! In the middle of my excessively long checkin, another new girl starts talking to her. My girl stops so they can chat. After a few minutes I make a very visible face and they both keep right on talking! So my check in took WAY longer than necessary and of course I was late getting back to work. This isn't complicated - when people walk in they want to be checked in and moved through your process rapidly - especially at lunch time. Do NOT interrupt another person who is with a customer so you can have a 5 minute irrelevant conversation. And if you are the worker who is interrupted - acknowledge that you're with a customer and finish with them first! I've been a member for years - I wont renew this time. I refuse to pay a sizable chunk of money to be an interruption in someone's day! read more

I am writing a in response to a recent experience that I had with the company. Two weeks ago I purchased some lotion from the location on Gunbarrel Rd and was not satisfied as it was not giving me the results that I was hoping for. I returned the bottle of lotion 2 days later to be issued a refund. The salon manager processed my refund and advised me that it would be 5-10 days before my refund would be posted. After the 7th or 8th day I began to become concerned about the refund as I have never had something take 10 days to post. The home office advised me that I should see it within the next day or two. I called this week 14 days later and still no refund. I have spent working hours calling the corporate office and the district manager only to be told that it was getting handled. Today I receive an email from the district manager stating that I have to wait an additional 3-5 days. At this point I am very dissatisfied with the customer service I have received.
