We thought they closed at 9 and they told us we close at 8 when we walked in. it was 7:58 and they told us they could still get us in. after we payed they loudly were talking bad about us to other employees in front of us and giving us very dirty looks. meanwhile we are just teenage girls getting ready for prom. instead of the way they treated us they should have just said they can't take anyone else. this service is disrespectful and honestly a very toxic environment to be in. never ever coming here again. i am appalled. Had a great first experience here today! The staff was so accommodating and helpful. They answered all of my questions and was patient with me. If you've never gone here before the first session is free. They have a variety of packages available as well. I got a spray tan. Light shade (1-2 shades darker than your natural), I did a double spray for my legs, and the hydration spray at the end. Loving how it is darkening so far! Time of day - I went at about 7pm on a Tuesday so there was no line at all and I was basically in and out of the tanning booth after I filled out my paperwork. Cleanliness - everything felt cleaned and sanitized. The bathroom was clean as well. There are some seats in the lobby where someone can wait for you if you're bringing someone with! Helpful tips - bring a hair tie, wear loose clothing, remove watches, necklaces, dangly earrings The booth - automated, If you wear glasses like me and suck at memorizing things, wear contacts lol! I never really expect good service from tanning salons because most of the time the girls that work there are really snotty. This time was no exception. One of the girls was visibly annoyed every time a customer would come in. I don't know how you can be so mad when you get to wear yoga pants to work. After waiting for my spray tan, I told the other associate that I wanted to be shown how to use the booth because it has been a while since I used a Booth. She didn't want to walk me through it, she just wanted me to read the instructions on the wall... I find that unacceptable. It is their job to make sure you feel comfortable with using their products. This made pretty upset yet happy I went during free spray tan week because I wouldn't be happy if I had to pay for this service. I wouldn't come back. If you want a spray tan for a special occasion, I would go to Kimberly Spa in Omaha and get an airbrush tan. They are so friendly and you get an amazing tan! Coming here reminds me of why I skip tanning salons and spray tan booths! read more

I have been a member for years at Sun tan city. I have never had to do a minute each time I tan. I understand when you have New blubs it good to be safe. But let's get real. It my body . I went 8 minutes yesterday but did not get anything.. all I wanted was to move up to 10 minutes . Your staff would only let me go 9 minutes..like I said been a member for years and have never been treated like that. Only at the Bellevue location Is weird policies that don't make any sense. If I am going to spend $5 to upgrade i want to do what I want. I live in Bellevue but you can Guarantee I will not be going to your location again. read more

This place is clean, you don't have to sign a contract that ties you in for months/year if you don't want too, they offer quite a few different levels of beds, they offer sunless tanning, they have plenty of products to sell in case you forgot anything. This place can get busy during early afternoon/evening hours in the dead of winter right before prom season, but other than that no biggie. The girls are usually friendly/helpful for the most part...there have only been a few rare occasions where someone seems clueless, or it takes them awhile to noticed you walked in. That's typically at almost every tanning place I've ever been to from time to time. Hello 95% of the time it's college/highschool girls there, you're going to get that sometimes. All in all, decor is nice, it's always been clean facilities, and they have a good selection. Once when I was trying to get a spray tan their machine was broken, but told me of their other location I could go to to redeem it. The girl even called ahead and scheduled everything for me, that was a nice touch. Just a note, you have to cancel by a certain day in the month or are will already be charged for the upcoming month, again very standard for a tanning bed place. Just be aware if you're a first timer. And if you have any questions with the bed, the staff doesn't mind showing you how to work things. read more

Bought a membership looked online to see how late they're open tonight got there and the girl said they were closed at 7 though their website shows they close at eight not real happy with this situation second time this is happened to me first time bought their tour of the city and no one told me it expired in 14 days. I just want to give high praise to the Bellevue, NE location (3512 Samson Way, unit 126, 68123). I came in around 8pm and Jillian was working- it was fairly busy and remained that way. I had a slight wait for the Versa Sunless, while I waiting Jillian happily greeted everyone, maintained a smile and a positive attitude and was efficient. There were people needing an array of assistance and she got them all taken care of. I am so pleased with how she handled herself in a very busy situation. Kudos to you, Jillian! Don't go to any Sun Tan City if you just want to use their services for a month or less for a special event. They force you to pay the pro rate charge for first calendar month and full subsequent month before can cancel or suspend. I had to pay essentially for two months when my daughter just needed to tan from 3/4 to 4/2 as I got charged for all of April. Called customer service and they told me too bad and would not provide pro rated refund for April which is completely inappropriate. read more

The customer service is amazing here! There is a girl named Lacy who always helps get me into the bed I want and the lotion I need. She know me by name after signing me up for my membership and doesn't ask for my card all the time which makes it nice to know that they girls care. The salon is always very clean and appropriate music is always playing. I have been in the salon when there have been upset customers and they get upset over things like not having a sticker (which this is one of the few salons that has a variety but they cannot order more of certain stickers I was told), and that they don't want long term contracts. There are no long term contracts, it's just a month to month deal. It is very nice and I love the fastest bed! read more

I've been going here for spray tans for awhile now and have always gone when they're $10. The last time I went in I knew they weren't running this deal so I asked for the cheapest one and was told it was $15 (which I was perfectly fine with) but today I went in and was told the cheapest one is $25. When I tried explaining last time it was $15, the lady got an attitude and told me that they've never done that and wouldn't let me finish explaining and went back to being on the computer. I left and when I got home an ad from Sun Tan City came up on my phone saying spray tans are $10 right now (attached). Im very annoyed and mad about this considering this is the closest location to my house and it's a 15 minute drive. I leave for Florida tomorrow and was hoping to get a spray tan before leaving but I've decided to not waste my money. Don't waste your time going to this location as they're continuously rude and clearly aren't educated about the store or the prices. read more

I've been tanning here for the past 3 years and have never had any of the issues previous reviews have talked about. Although it seems like they have a high turn over rate with employees there's still a few employees who have been working there for awhile who are very nice and very helpful. The only time there is a wait, is during the free tan week when a bunch of people who have never tanned before expect to get an amazing tan in a weeks worth of time and take 15 minutes to sign up. read more

Avoid!!! Bad customer service, only one level 5 bed, which equals long wait times to get in or downgrading beds even though they won't refund any of your expensive membership costs you pay to get in that bed. Management doesn't care what their customers think. They have a high school child's attitude when it comes to customer service skills...it's not their problem! Well, it is! I've also gone in and the instant beds that are supposed to spray aromatherapy are out of spray and don't work... Took 2months just to see them attempt to fix that issue, so you pay for another item that you rarely see. They will also let you tan in beds with bulbs out. I used the level 4 bed and it had 2 builds out for a very long time and they continued to use it even after complaints... Same with the instant bed! I've compiled all the things I've noticed over time into one review because I'm fed up with this customer service and the prices they charge everyone for mediocre product/beds... Get it together Sun Tan City! There are other places we can go tan, such as right off Cornhusker and 75hwy! read more

I got scabies from one of the beds here. I highly recommend going someplace else. When I notified customer service they canceled my membership but would not refund any of the original fee even though I had only used the services for a week. When I asked what safe guards were in place to prevent the spread of infectious diseases they had no response. I don't recommend doing business with this company. read more

TERRIBLE customer service. I went in for the first time on a Monday (They have a special right now, 10 dollars to try any of the beds on any Monday in August). I picked a medium/higher bed because I just moved here from LA and have had tanned a lot in the past. The representative told me that she recommend only 7 minutes instead of the full time. We had gotten into a bit of a disagreement until she said "My manager will fire me if I let you go for the full time". I was shocked to hear such a thing. I paid to try out the full experience of the bed and wasn't able to, do to the fact that her manager would fire her..... Now how ridiculous is that??? I plan on talking to the manager and then never going back because of this. read more

After reading the customer reviews I was skeptical but thought I would try Sun Tan City anyway. The customer service I received was wonderful! The front desk girls were so sweet! It is a bit pricey but it is nice to not have to lock into a week or year to enjoy a tan. The place is organized, clean, and in a great location close to shopping. read more
