I messaged a hairdresser at this salon (Tiara Rodarte) because I know her personally, and thought I…read morecould trust her to do what I had in mind. I sent her reference photos and she said it was totally doable, and she could get me in right before my trip so I was stoked on that. I've attached photos of what I was wanting - and what I ended up with. See below. So what I ended up with was not terrible, but nowhere near what I asked for and what I was assured she could do. She offered to fix it at the salon on her next available day, and I told her respectfully I do not want her to touch my head ever again. Or anyone else in the salon for that matter. Flustered, I paid the bill, tipped well because that's what you do, and hoped we could talk later and figure something out. Because it was getting uncomfortable and I was so mortified with how it looked I just wanted to leave. Tiara explained to me that this process would require me lightening (bleaching) the ends where I wanted to have the purple. This made me nervous as I have never bleached my hair, and at this point I had 100% virgin hair, having cut 19 inches off about a year prior. So the plan was to use an all over dark ashy brown, close to my natural color so that when it began to grow out/ fade it would look more natural and less drastic. Fast forward a day or so, I'm in contact with Tiara about getting my money back. She's telling me that just isn't an option, because she offered to fix it. I told her I'm aware you offered, and told her she must be forgetting that I explicitly told her I would never let her touch my head again. She claims that I exclaimed how much I loved it before I left her salon. Absolutely false. Then Tiara becomes aggravated and finally tells me, that At this point I have made this such an awkward and weird situation to the point now she doesn't want me in her salon to fix it. Then she proceeded to block my phone number, and all of my social media accounts. I had a friend try and help me fix it, we put color remover on it to lift the auburn color that I ended up with because it was not at all the color I had shown her or that she told me she could dye it. Upon using the color remover, it became apparent that Tiara did not just lighten my ends. She painted my entire head with bleach. I've also attached photos of what that looks like, and still looks like now because I've been unable to get in anywhere and have it fixed--it's going to costs me hundreds of dollars. Since Tiara decided to block me, I reached out to the salon thru Their business page on Facebook. My post was erased, and my private message was never even opened. I had no choice but to call the bank to dispute the charge at this point. I was informed that once the claim was filed, the money would be credited back to my account, but that there was a time period where the merchant could respond and refuse the charge back, and if they did that the money would be taken back out of my account. Today I checked my account and they in fact did fight the claim, won, and took the money back. Long story short, Tiara Rodarte has no idea what she is doing in a salon. These business practices are extremely unethical and downright slimy. Do yourself a favor and never trust these people with your hair. I will be calling the BBB, and also contacting my bank again to further dispute this. Because even though I did pay for "services rendered" they are NOT the services I was told I was getting, or asked for. I was told all they had to do was say they offered to fix it, to which I told the lady at the bank that I specifically told her after she offered to fix it that I would never let her near my head again. The lady at the bank said she would have done the same exact thing. This isn't over, and I would greatly appreciate someone reaching out to me immediately to make this right before this ends up way worse for your business than it already is by me leaving this review.

As a former tanning salon employee/manager, I also know what a nightmare it can be when it comes to lotion. Other salons make you feel like you are in a car dealership, in regards to pressuring you to buy lotions. While they are essential to developing and maintaining a gorgeous glow, you won't have to worry about getting hounded here...ever. If you have any questions, they will always be ready to help you. whatever it may be. Price-wise, they are right on target if not less expensive in the long run. They are straight shooters here. Level one beds for beginners, level two for advanced. It is a single, easy price for unlimited tanning on either level. (They have minute and session packages + spray tans and even red light beds as well if wish to go that route.) Rest assured there are no gimmicks, no hidden charges, no "membership fees", or any of the other garbage marketing schemes you will find at many of the other salons. If I wanted to purchase my own bed to use at home daily and accounted for the monthly payments, electricity usage, and regular maintenance/upkeep of the bed/bulbs, I can easily say it would be a lot more than $60/month! It is pretty simple - If you want a radiant tan for a great price, then come to Gretna Touch-n-Tan! p.s. I forgot to mention they also offer 24/7 tanning - Yep you can go on your own time, even if that means in the middle of the night!
