As you open the door your blood pressure immediately reduces and your senses are delighted with dimmed lighting, aromatherapy and calming background earth and music sounds. The interaction at the front counter could not be more pleasant - they are super friendly and attentive at all times. In terms of the reservation of appointments, booking software is not something you would normally consider when rating a salon but I must give this one mention. Their reservation system handles calendars for both the Medford and Stoneham locations and the beauty is that it sends you texts to inform you of your appts and even sends gentle reminders closer to "beauty day". In my busy life, i need and love that! Full service beauty service can be found here and the expertise of the staff is top notch -- they are qualified, very professional and exuberate "positive vibes" with not only their clients but also each other (no bickering about who stole their hair brush last kinda stuff) - which is not something you wanna hear when trying to relax and get beautiful, right? Right! I do believe the staff emulate the personality of the owner, who is undeniably the most positive, upbeat individuals i have ever met. As with many other businesses this past year, she was forced to shut her doors and lose revenue, for herself and her staff, while her clients were searching for ways to remain gorgeous. She was consistently communicative to her clients and staff on social media on how and when the shop could reopen - and when she had no answers, she was quick to creatively think of ways that she could generate revenue while still serving them well. She was one of the first owners to put together little build your own beauty kits for customers and instituted a safe/minimal contact curbside delivery for those that were not able or comfortable coming into to the shop. She is so innovative with her out of the box ideas and always delivered them with a bright eyed smile. SITC is an outstanding full service salon and spa with an atmosphere that leaves you so relaxed that you practically need smelling salts to drive home.
