Told 90 minute wait, but was taken way sooner. I was there for a gel mani/pedi along with my granddaughter for same. Place is clean and friendly. Seemed like I had a spot I would return too. Then when owner, Kim,was doing my manicure, I referred back to chart on the wall for the color I was looking for. It involved chrome. She pulls out chrome pot but it appears to be darker. She then spends several minutes looking for the correct chrome. Not finding it she she goes ahead with the wrong chrome and then I find the effect not to be what is projected on the image in her salon. I express my dismay over the color. Her response is that "I don't know what I want." She continues to argue but I keep silent. I leave and pay my bill. I even leave a tip. I will never return. read more

Ok so I went there one time previously and it was overall good. So I went in there for the second time, I wanted a gel fill and a pedicure. So they rushed me to a pedicure chair and made me wait to get my nails which I hate because it then takes forever. It was a Wednesday evening they were not busy at all. So the pedicure was cold water. I asked her twice to make it warmer but she didn't understand I guess so a cold pedicure not much treatment and at the end was a massage where she pounded on my feet and legs with her fist lmbo! They looked pretty but it was not relaxing and probably the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. Now while I was receiving my pedicure another lady came in and they did her nails while receiving her pedicure so I don't understand why they couldn't do mine. So then I go to the man and he is supposed to do my nails. It starts out ok but he had very strange ways of filing with the drill. Like he was drilling my cuticles a lot and he seemed on drugs. He took forever talking and laughing loudly. Was extremely rough and during this time I noticed the salon is very dirty. The towel under my hands filthy, like they don't clean properly. I regretted ever coming in! Finally the woman who seemed to run things did my color. I wanted 3D glitter gel. It's like a powder she applies like a gel. She said it would last. No top coat needed. The lady cut three of my toenails and made them bleed in multiple places. I've treated them since day 1 but now one is red, swollen, and appears to be infected. Looking back, I'm not convinced their tools were actually clean anyways. My full set is not smooth. Each nail has ridges easily felt and seen. Obviously not going back. Save your money. So, there weren't many good reviews about this place HOWEVER, being new to this area I tried a place in Palmdale that got an average of 4.5 stars and I left 100% dissatisfied. I explained to the guy (Tony) at Sun Nails how horrible the last place did my nails and he listened to every single request. He even took off the pink gel when he started because I said I wanted to try and see what a different shade of pink gel looked like. He didn't have an attitude when I asked him to redo something to my liking, he asked before he did something what I wanted and I left 100% satisfied. If you left this place unhappy then you definitely didn't have Tony doing your nails and you probably didn't open up about something you did or didn't like. The lady even said if I chip or break them within the first few days that I can come back free of charge. How much better can you get?! Had to find a place for nail fill as my regular person was ill. Young man was very nice, spoke perfect English and station very clean and his hands and nails were very clean. But gel equipment was filthy dirty inside and out.. Yuk.. I put my hands in without touching anything and could not wait for the light to shut off. He was very attentive and came immediately to put oil on my nails and told me to wash my hands. But the soap container was also very dirty and the containers for the scrub brushes were also dirty. So I elected not to use any of them and quickly paid for their services and left. My daughter and I got my mom a $50 gift certificate to sun nails for Christmas. She went in to use the certificate on Monday Jan 18. Ann told her that the certificate had been forged. I was absolutely furious when my mom told me how she was humiliated in front of customers for being accused of forging. Ann let her only use $30 of the $50 that I PAID FOR!!!! Just a decent place. Definitely one of the cheaper places here and the people were pretty nice when they decided to speak English to you. The downsides were a messy back area towards the bathroom (there was just a random mattress sticking out of one of the rooms). The leg massage was just mediocre that didn't even include any pressure or massage on the calves; it was all on the shin and barely feet. Went there for my first mani in like year. I'm kinda new to the AV so I didn't really know what place would be good. Seeing this place when I got an oil change about 2 weeks ago, I decided to try it out. The place is ok looking on the inside but the nail ladies aren't too nice. They barely speak English and they aren't rude but they aren't necessarily friendly. It was my first time trying out the gel nails and I got French tip. They're happy to fix any problems (even if they didn't cause them) and try their very best to make sure you leave happy. Lynne wouldn't take off my full set I had on although I requested it. I had a nail that was broken and she just put acrylic over it. It fell off the next day. I disagree with all the negative remarks. I've been going to Sun Nails for about 2 months. The owner Ann is positive, pleasant, and helpful. I've tried not less than 6 shops in the A.V.. in the past 9 mos. and this is the best thus far. Not dirty, tho the restroom could be kept up better. My nails haven't lifted, chipped, or had fungus grow which another shop caused, making me look for another shop when I found this shop. Tomorrow I'm having a fill and a pedicure. After getting my nails done for many years at many different locations, this is by far the WORST service I have gotten. First I came here for a pedicure and the service I thought was excellent. Which I think also depends on who you get as person. The men there are really nice. However, this time I went to get acrylics, the lady was very rude. She was doing a poor job from the start, she was rushing her job as it was, and then I noticed one of the nails was already cracked I don't know why but maybe when filed it was not fully dry so it had a crack within the nail. As a genuine concern of breaking it and it hurting, I told her that, and to my surprise she laughs and says it can not be broken because she just put it on. (Okay lady mistakes happen) and to top it all off, she receives an appointment and so now she is in even more of a rush and is now standing doing my nails. First of all if she knew she had an appointment she should have had someone else to do my nails, and second I rather have a good job rather than a quick one. Long story short, the nail was cracked, and they were super thick poorly done nails. After, she had the audacity of asking if I was going to tip her. I have gone here all of my life and I love it. When I say all of my life, I mean I was an infant and my mom would take me with her. I pretty much grew up there. I have never had a bad experience there, maybe it's because they know us. They always engage in conversation and I have a hard time understanding them, especially if they have their masks on. You can tell them exactly what you want and they will do it, don't hold back! Be picky! They're you're nails and they're there to help you. If you're looking for a place that you can go every month and get to know the people this is the place to go. Sure most of our favorites don't work here anymore, but we still trust them. Sun nails saved the day. Me and my girlfriends(about 5 of us) all went in on a Sunday to get full sets and pedicure. Everyone was very friendly, and accommodating. One of our friends is a regular here and I always like her nails. I'm actually very happy with my full set and pedicure. At one point my pedicure got a tiny bit painful but it had been awhile since I had one done so I understand what she had to do lol. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Great place. Very relaxed and the people are super friendly. You may have to wait a little longer if you don't have an appointment, but I've found that true in most nail places. I've never posted a negative review and I feel super bad, but I have to. First off, this nail salon looks pretty unsanitary. It used to be a lot better. The quality just keeps getting worse. There's one girl here that does a great job, but other than that expect a lot of cuts when they're nipping your fingers, uneven nails, and gels that are bulky and unsightly. I only came back here because my regular nail salon (that charges the same for the basics and is amazing quality which name I won't mention because they are always booked and have no more room) was unavailable because I failed to schedule on time. If I were you, I wouldn't go here. I regret my last visit. :( I had to go home and take my gel manicure off (which took forever because of how thick they are) and I'm now trying to see if there's any way my regular nail salon can fit me in before I go on vacation.
