Ivan, Scott & Jayson have been in constant contact with me about the progress of getting Tesla to ok the work. So grateful for their dedication! I definitely recommend Option One Solar! Update. To be clear I have nothing negative to say about Option One Solar, at the time I was disappointed with the outcome that seemed that I was out of luck. Scott & Ivan have been working on resolving this issue that is on Tesla's end & have been keeping me in the loop. They both have been communicating with me on the progress of my work order. Natasha was professional and very clear with communication from the start. She set proper expectations on communication with Tesla would take a week or two. The day she received the go ahead from Tesla she called and scheduled the install asap 4 days out. Later the same day they had a cancellation and were able to get everything scheduled the next day. Anthony and Jeremiah arrived at the beginning of the arrival window! They were professional, great with communication, and ready to work. I had several questions and they were prepared for all of them and super helpful. The battery removal and install took less than an hour. Naturally Tesla's update took twice as long. LOL. Still total time was under 3 hours. I have managed 100s of installers and worked in Solar, this was a fantastic expierence! Because the Tesla 3 has more storage than the 2 I asked about adding some of my Breakers to the back-up and they had options for us to do that. Obviously we Highly Recommend This Team!

I should've known better than moving forward with Celestial Solar from the start. After giving me…read morean initial quote, they came back and said they underpriced it because they "didn't realize" my roof wasn't a shingle roof. That should've been the first red flag. I've had them out for annual system checks, and last year I specifically told the technician that air bubbles were coming into the pool whenever the solar system was running. I was told they couldn't find any issues. Fast forward to this year during their $240 spring startup service, and suddenly they "find" a broken vacuum release valve...conveniently after the 3-year warranty had expired. I was quoted $100 for that repair, but ended up being charged $135 on the invoice. There was also an issue with the actuator, and I was told it would be $360 to replace it. I initially planned to order the parts myself and have someone else install them, but after the technician spoke with the office, they offered to waive the $240 spring startup fee if I moved forward with their actuator replacement. I agreed based on that. Two weeks later, I received an invoice charging me for everything -- the actuator, the vacuum release valve, and the spring startup fee that I was explicitly told would be waived. I responded and made it clear I would not be paying that fee based on what was agreed to. I received no response. Then, a few days later, they charged my credit card $765 without my authorization. They used card information from a previous year's maintenance payment. I have since contacted my bank, and the charge is currently under investigation as unauthorized. If this is not resolved, I will be pursuing further action. This experience has been extremely frustrating. Poor communication, inconsistent pricing, and now an unauthorized charge. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

As we live in another state they handled EVERYTHING! ( including driving over when another contractor had left the garage door open!) They dealt with the city, the HOA, the utility companies. The job is perfect. Installation in garage is neat. Our electric bill is negligible and they monitor the panels. Leif and Michelle are co-owners and they have there heart and passion in what they do. I don't like that I have to come to Yelp to get Solarmax to handle my concerns. It's really…read moreunfortunate. So I have 10 panels that arent' working, and a monitoring system that isn't working. I've been going back and forth with them for well over five weeks to get it resolved. They've said the company that manufactured my panels (apparently an in-house brand that is no longer operating) is out of business, so they've been "trying to secure panels with the proper wattage" for over a month. No update as of today. It's really frustrating that I have these problems, a warranty to cover it, and it's not being taken care of in a timely fashion. Between a pool, an EV and five humans in my house, those 10 panels do a lot of the work, and now I'm just eating the cost. I have expressed that I'm frustrated (especially because they never call me--I have to follow-up weekly to get them to talk to me), but it just seems like they care to do anything about it. It's just a "we're still waiting". Make some calls, secure the pipeline for the panels, and replace my panels, please. Next step if we cannot move forward in the coming week will be the better business bureau.

They were always available to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with our electricians whenever something came up. Because they knew our system inside and out, they were able to jump in quickly and help keep the project on track. Having that history with our home made a huge difference, and their professionalism and responsiveness took a lot of stress out of what was otherwise a complicated project -- all without having to break the bank. They are extremely fair with their pricing. It's one thing to do a good installation, but it's another to still be supporting your customers more than a decade later.
