Not only was the whole experience so much fun (I had some anxiety about being in a body of water where I cannot see the bottom), but it was super educational, with some facts about the sandstone cliffs we passed and the animals we encountered. With the cool water and the great company, I forgot all about the heat wave we are having and even saw some seals! Will definitely be back for at least one shorter tour, and maybe even a day trip!

Along the way we saw: 1 black fox, 2 harbor seals, 1 harbor porpoise, a rhinoceros auklet (unique diving sea bird), 13+ Bald Eagles, AND TWO HUMPBACK WHALES! The lack of an Orca sighting made this full day trip an eyelash shy of perfect, but we could not have otherwise been more thrilled with our experience on the water with Brandon and the Discovery Sea Kayak team. I looked for an option to cancel and reorder my purchase, but there wasn't one available. Since I acted right away, I reached out through the chat to see if the discount could be applied or if there was another solution. Sam responded by email and simply stated that the discount couldn't be applied retroactively. While I understand that companies have policies, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility or effort to help. I wasn't trying to misuse the promotion--I made an honest mistake and contacted customer service almost immediately after placing my order. I was having some trouble with gear shifting on my Raleigh hybrid bike. If I shifted into the…read morelowest gear, the chain came off the derailleur. Other gears were sluggish to engage. I thought I would have to leave my bike at a repair shop for some length of time, which was inconvenient because I was only in town for a couple of days. I called Jack's and they said to bring the bike in and they thought they would have time to fix in within my schedule. I brought it in and a very nice bike technician mounted my bike and tried to diagnose the problem. Within about 15 minutes he had fixed the problem entirely! I took a test ride and it was working perfectly. This was a great time saver for me. He only charged me $25 bucks, which I thought was more than reasonable, since I was expecting it to need a complete overhaul. Jack's is a well-staffed and efficient bike repair center (in addition to selling bikes and accessories). I counted at least four technicians hard at work serving customers. I would highly recommend Jacks!!!
