Matt was very accomodating to meet us and rent us the bikes. He explained the operation of them, we tested them and then took off. Getting them was a very easy process. We were free to ride and we rode them to Hovander Park putting a good 30 miles into day and we absolutely loved the ease of riding these bikes. To get there, we rode our our own bikes there, locked them up and took off. The bikes were in excellent working condition, fully charged and helmets and locks were provided. Also, additional battery charger, just in case, but we did not use. What a great way to try out e-bikes and spend the day. Bring a back pack because there wasn't a basket or storage place. Awesome bicycle tour of Stanley Park!…read more I had an amazing 3+ hour bicycle tour with Zack around Stanley Park. As a history major and as a Vancouver native, his knowledge of the park's history, plants, trees, animals and the indigenous people was vast and interesting. Everyone in our group was engaged and appreciative of all the sights and sounds during our tour. There were even people not on our bike tour who listened in on what Zack had to say. The bikes were outfitted with a pouch to carry wallets, keys, phones, and small cameras and or binoculars. There's also a cage for water bottles. We often stopped to see notable landmarks, sculptures, and monuments. For the nature enthusiasts, Zack showed us blue heron nests, Beaver Lake and forest. Everyone enjoyed learning about the various trees (we even spotted a woodpeckers!) I highly recommend this company for a bike tour of Stanley Park!

I can't even begin to tell you how pleasant our bike tour experience was! We hardly even got on the road and I was mentally adding "get a bike and go places on it" to my life list. We rode past lines of cars and along the back edges of the unbelievable tulip fields (where the tourists in their REALLY NOT FIELD-FRIENDLY OUTFITS were afraid to go) and have a million pictures to show for it. This was our first time on an electric bike and we all enjoyed the easy-to-use assist features that supplemented our manual option. CONS - Jim's chain fell off twice, with a nice guy helping to fix it the first time. After the second time, he used the electric feature to bring the bike back to the barn. +/- - Erin scored a discount on our bikes and Jim's issue was credited. However, the credit card entries took awhile to sort themselves out. PROS - Jim's issue aside, our bikes were top quality, easy to use, and fun to ride. - Bee's Knees staff were very helpful and responsive to our beginner questions and the above bike chain issue. - Stunning scenery and well marked bike paths. - Vancouver takes their bikes very seriously including the practice that traffic laws apply to all. BOTTOM LINE - I'd happily use Bee's Knees again for a bike rental.
