Tried to set up yard work through them. The contractor was not aware of doing anything outside the fence, which I had previously discussed with the owner(my property line is 6 inches past the fence. This man argued with me for about 10 minutes about it, and seemed to want to renegotiate for more money. He actually seemed perturbed at having to do any work at all, like he didn't want to be there. I had a nice experience setting up the service with with the woman owner, she seemed very professional, but that man (he never introduced himself, so I can't call him by name) was not. He seemed to not want to do any work at all - when I showed him borders of gardens, he didn't say "okay" nothing, just silence and staring, then he proceeded to just argue about my property line (Sorry, I need my whole property done, even the other side of the fence, I don't think that is unreasonable). I mean, beyond the property line thing, he seemed genuinely perturbed at having to do any work, like when a spouse or kid is being forced to mow the lawn against their will, not a company asking for your business.
The owner was very apologetic, however, and swore to ensure that no one in the future had an experience like
this. For what it's worth I do believe her and again she did seem really professional and customer service oriented. I tend to think the man was actually not a subcontractor but a brother or a husband or a boyfriend or something, and really was doing this against his will. I would work with the woman again, if she got someone else to do the work. read more
