I bought a $14.99 skirt during Fantasy Fest. They charged my card $111.00!!! Stay away from this store.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Total rip off. Bought an off brand cotton shirt with an iron on. The shirt went from a $10.00 deal to $47. They have boxes upon boxes of imported crap. Beware of going here. The better business bureau should shut this place down. Underhanded business going on here. read more

I should have read the prior reviews before walking into Sun and Sand on 327 Duval St. I feel totally ripped off by this store. As you walk by their window they are advertising T-shirt's for 12.95 or 2 for 14.95. I picked out a T-shirt walked up to the counter handed them the shirt along with a fifty dollar bill, the clerk immediately rang the shirt up and said that will be 38.14. I was totally shocked and immediately said I was not interested in a 38 dollar t-shirt, the female clerk pointed to a sign that said no refunds, once I ring it up you can't return it. I was shocked, I tried to explain that I hadn't even taken possession of the shirt. She informed me that was store policy. Don't be a sucker like me, if you still plan to patronize this store, make sure you get a price before you hand them any form of payment. After reading the other negative reviews, I feel this must be their sleazy pattern of operation. read more

BUYER BEWARE! These folks are hustlers. You go in pick a $15 shirt and they up charge you about $35. They tell you the final price as you are swiping your card and cannot reverse the transaction. Their items are not great quality and there is no issue with that for an inexpensive shirt, but few people would be hard pressed to gladly spend $50 on a unworthy gimmick shirt. The heavy set woman with a long ponytail is very pushy and intrusive into your personal space. This is daunting especially because no one in the store was wearing a mask the whole time we were there. We went to other surrounding tee shops and shirts were a fraction and twice the quality. Plus they cared about their customers and didn't look down on you for being a tourist. Do not enter this establishment! You will walk out being bullied and feeling berated and admonished. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! Went to buy an ornament, only one left was in the window and the little blonde, possibly Eastern European girl said she'd sell it to us for $30 then we asked how much it was and she said it's originally $15. Because it "attracted us to come inside." Well that's called price gouging and it's ILLEGAL. We had seen the ornament everywhere last year, and she told us only they sold it in that store. I found it a few stores down for $13. How's that for your greediness? Shame on you. Stay away and go to another establishment that is kind and has integrity. read more

Pirates ARE alive and well in Key West! We encountered this place during our vacation trip to Key West this year, and the fellows running it have perfected the art of the rip-off. You see a t-shirt in the window for ten bucks, then go inside to order a couple of them, and are handed a bill for $96! WTF? We asked, and were told that there WAS a price on the unprinted shirts at $29.95, posted as a microscopically small tag at the end of the rack, then they charge $12.95 for the transfer of each design decal. C'mon, guys, there are plenty of legitimate souvenir sellers in this resort - being the one place to nail visitors with a bait and switch makes them a place to AVOID! Bankruptcy is too light a punishment for vendors like this. read more

Like so many other customers, we were both "taken to the cleaners" by these store clerks and this store's policies. What we could've purchased for $30 anywhere else in Key West, cost us $90 at this store. STAY AWAY! Bankruptcy is what this store deserves. read more

Just like all the others. I wish I would have read the reviews before entering. Lady on the floor tells you all these good deals your about to get and free shirts totaling $120. Get to the register and your bill is $518.00. And same woman on the floor saying she did not say this. Complete scam,rip off and I can't believe key west would still allow this kind of thing to go on considering there is nothing here anymore. Whole town had gone to shit. read more

I visited last week and after picking out my items, the man working the counter told me w/ my purchase I get 2 free t-shirts. I picked out my shirts and selected my iron-ons and handed over my credit card. Because I was in a rush to catch my trolly (and I didn't have my glasses on) I failed to notice my bill, which should have been $60, was $96.75. ($96 seems to be their magic #). That being said, I called them when I got back from my cruise and spoke to a nice man named Michael (I think), He said his employee said he explained that while the t-shirts were free, the iron-ons cost. I don't recall him pointing that out, but it was just as much my fault for not checking my receipt before signing it. Regardless, he did refund my money. Was it an honest mistake? Or shady dealing? No one can say for certain, but if you choose to shop here make sure you know what the deal is and check your receipt before signing. read more

What a suprise after they printed it to find out the shirt was 89.00 PLUS the cost of the transfer. STAY AWAY. I will let my credit card company deal with these crooks. read more

I went to Key West this past weekend with some family because none of us had been there in years and we wanted to see how the place had changed. Of course we're going to buy gifts to bring back to family so shopping was a big part of the trip. We came across Sun n Sand on 300 Front Street and went to do our part to spur the economy a bit. Did we get hosed. I bought a Hawaiian style shirt and then went to their adjoining shop and bought a cigar. The total for both was $52.00. Ouch. But , what the heck...they gotta make a living too. It wasn't until we got home several days later that we saw they had charged us $96.75 for the shirt and $96.75 for the Cigar! Talk about getting ripped off! No reply on the phone number listed. If you find yourself in the keys and looking to spend money, beware Sun n Sand...they will take you for a ride. read more

Key West was one of our ports that were on our cruise. We stopped in this store to get some shirts to take back to our family. They had a large selection and we saw a sign " t-shirts $10.00" . Good deal, right? WRONG... We chose our shirts and had some iron-ons put on the shirts. We were told it was $5.00 per iron-on. We were handed a bill for $145.00 for four shirts . When asked for an itemized bill, we were told our shirts were $19.95 not $10.00 and $15.00 for the iron-on not $5.00 because those were only a few limited transfers. This store is HORRIBLE..... I called after my cruise to share my dismay and was promised a few extra shirts to be sent to me for my dissatisfaction. That was over 2 months ago and i have never received them.
