One star performance... after the sale. Nice women's fashion store, definitely high end. In store service was great! (Not the owner!). We shopped for over an hour and we purchased several items, including jewelry and a scarf. The viral necklace we bought had a red coral pendent hanging from it, which broke the first time my wife put the necklace on. We called the shop multiple times and left a message, described the issue and asked to discuss. After several messages left over a couple of weeks, no response. The store may be high end, but the owners/service is low class. We concur with the general online sentiment, don't patronize this place! read more

We were not greeted as the only patrons who entered the small boutique. I Was treated very rudely by a male worker when shopping. He told me the items I was looking at on a rack weren't for me. I went into the boutique on Tuesday and saw a beautiful necklace that I wanted very badly. Since this is a "highend" boutique, the price was a little over my budget. I did keep in mind that the necklace is handmade by the owners husband, and he does beautiful work. I kept thinking about the necklace and decided to go back on Thursday and purchase it. Well, that is when everything went south! The husband/designer was there, not the wife. This man was so rude when I told him the necklace was a little out of my budget. I would give 0 stars if I could! Echoing everyone else's reviews about the rude service here displayed by both older male and woman. They never greeted us or even looked our way. When we went to look by the back counter they received a phone call and passed the phone to each other in front of our faces. Then as we were looking at the jewelry, picking it up to try on as one does the man scolded "don't take off counter". Indigo is a lovely boutique that I always visit when in Key West. The owner designs the jewelry himself and there are many stunning items sourced from around the world. He does ask customers not to eat or drink in his shop and this clearly annoys some people from the comments. But that is his prerogative. Walked in to the store with my BFF to look around, shop, etc. I had a bag w/souvenirs and another with an order of conch fritters, in a container and tied up in the bag. A bald rude man behind the counter would not let us stay because I had food. Mind you, as I mentioned, food was in a bag, in a container and tied up in the bag. I wasn't eating it. I would give this place a negative review but I can't , just walked into the store and I guess I didn't fully close the door which was my fault I guess I wasn't aware of it so some guy told me to close the door which I did and then said "what's your problem, why did you slam the door" first off I didn't. Worst customer service and treatment of people I've ever seen in a boutique anywhere I've ever been in my entire life. My family and I went in to check this Boutique out last week when we were there in key west. My husband saw a beautiful shirt that was on a hanger and had three necklaces on the hanger with it he picked it up and told me that it would look really pretty on me and then he asked I wonder how much these necklaces are the man who was working in the store overheard our conversation and butted it in with the snootiest, most condescending tone. He said the price is right there on the necklaces ! When we saw how much the necklace was w my husband and I said wow I wonder what these are made out of to be that much. The man working in the store came over to my husband and literally took the hanger with the shirt out of my husband's hand!!! took the necklaces out of my husband's hand and put them on the hanger and then proceeded to put the hanger back where my husband had picked it up from and wiped the front of the shirt down with his hand as if he was decontaminating it from us while we were standing right there!!!!!and he turned and walked away. The message was clear he did not want a shopping there so we turned and left. Unfortunately he has other reviews that say the exact same thing. apparently this is the owner of the store and he has no shame about how he treats his customers. most places understand that some people can't afford things and still treat you kindly and say thanks for coming but not this guy. read more

Probably my fave women's boutique in key west. I'm totally in to boho bathing suit coverups and this place is full of the most unique pieces. I see many negative reviews regarding the store owner, but he couldn't be kinder. The shop is full of high quality linen and handcrafted jewelry made mostly by he and his wife. I totally understand why he wouldn't want beverages and ice cream cones around his merchandise. I bought several items and I can't wait to come back to indigo for the most amazing pieces. I chose about six items to try on. The salesperson then came over and said that the fitting room was closed. I was wearing a very thin t-shirt, so decided to try the clothes on OVER the t-shirt. She then came over, again, to explain that they were not allowing you to try on ANY clothes. If that's their policy, so be it, but why didn't she tell me that in the beginning as I was choosing clothes to try on? Attempted to shop here as I liked many of the necklaces they had out. I was sipping a coffee as I browsed. The man behind the counter shouts at me, does not have the courtesy to walk to me, and says "LADY, you not allowed to have drink" while he wags his finger at me. Okay. I let him know that it was unfortunate that he did not want any of my money today. Now I understand not wanting people to have open drinks, especially on Duval st where many carry open containers. But again, this is Duval street not 5th ave NYC. Stop deluding yourself now- your store is no better than where you choose to be located and you have no right to speak to potential customers in that matter. read more

I've been eyeing the store for some time, I wandered in one day a few months back with an iced coffee and he yelled at me from the back of the store that beverages are not allowed. While I fully understand the policy, there is certainly a better way to speak to your potential customers. It left a bad taste for me, but with so many beautiful pieces, I found myself there again today. I asked him if his items were imported from all over the world, to which he responded "yea". I was trying to make conversation over the interesting items he carried - and he was clearly not into talking. Fine. So then I found a pair of beautiful turquoise earrings, which I held up to my ear. He rudely called "no trying on". Again, I understand the policy, but not the tone. The male proprietor of this store was the worst ever. I bought a pair of earrings that broke (main part fell off) about one hour after purchasing. When I took them back for fixing, he basically accused me of breaking them and was completely obnoxious. The second pair fell apart, too! Accused me again of breaking those, too. Love all of the stuff--nice selection of rings, dresses, and shoes--and being from New York City, these prices are actually cheaper than I'm used to. The one drawback was the awful customer service. The man working there made me feel so uncomfortable that I just walked right out. If you want to make me feel like I'm a nuisance, like it's a bother to help me out, and like you'd rather be waiting on someone else when I am the only one in the store, then I will take my business elsewhere. 2 stars for merch, 0 for service.
