Everything I tried was very tasty. Their customer service was good would definitely recommend this establishment

First off I placed an online order and it said 30 minutes I waited a hour for my food and everyone else was waiting too. Be honest about the wait times especially since that's a big difference. Secondly I ordered a whole chicken wing combo they gave me wing dings and they were dry. If you don't have the item at least give me the option to choose when I'm paying. And the greens were so hot that I choked they have a sweetness but hot as h***. Everybody don't like spice. That crazy to have those greens that hot. The macaroni was good but everything else horrible I would not recommend to anyone. His food used to be excellent when he sold it out his house but now it seems like it's just for the money not the quality!!!! Oh and the the guy was hitting his vape taking orders and the girl taking the money has a nasty attitude like we bothering her. read more

Food was excellent. The fried ribs we're a little dry but the macaroni and cheese was the real star. The gravy was absolutely amazing and tastes like it was made with love. Fried Green tomatoes were great as well crunchy and slightly tart. Greens were a bit spicy for me but my family loved them. I'm looking forward to trying their giant turkey leg with Stephanie inside and that fabulous gravy on top. We have plenty of parking and they're close to the highway the service was really quick and the food was hot and the ambiance is cool there's often bands playing when you dine in. I would definitely go back here again and I'm lucky that it's close to my home. read more

I had my spouse pick-up the Wings Combo with collared greens and okra. This entire meal was awful. The greens tasted as if it came from a can with some hot seasoning added to them. Okra from Walmart's frozen section tastes better and the wings (plain) were blah. The entire meal was $20 and it was a waste of money. This is why so many Americans are afraid to patronize new restaurants. I attempt to support restaurants.., however I'm consistently being burnt with lack-luster food. read more

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was terrible. I ordered the turkey chops with macaroni and dressing, and everything was just awful. The dressing was dry and flavorless, the macaroni tasted like old, overcooked noodles, and the gravy on the turkey chops was downright nasty. I spent $27 on this meal and ended up giving it to my dogs because it was that bad. I originally left a review, but it never got posted -- which makes me wonder how many other bad reviews are being filtered out. I will never order from here again. read more

Okay a couple things: The atmosphere is like a Speakeasy bar with live music although that may only be in the evenings. There isn't a lot of staff so if you plan to sit inside prepare for a wait. This restaurant is moreso a takeout place. They serve all food in to-go containers. Also please note that their only beverages are Kool-Aid and water. I only had the water so I can't review the Kool-Aid. NOW TO THE FOOD! I ordered the Wootles appetizer and Bayou Turkey Leg combo with candied yams and fried corn. My friend ordered the Fried Turkey Chops combo with collared greens and dressing. We were blown away!!!! The food far exceeded our expectations! read more

Overpriced and mediocre spot ripping off the Flint community by jacking up prices of cheap unhealthy food to appear "elevated." Don't fall for it. I was excited to give this spot a try but as soon as I walked inside the energy was just bad. Not a "Welcome" or "Hello" or even a smile. It was awkward. The bartender and another staff member just gave us stank ass looks, then turned their heads. The place was empty too! The server who eventually took our order was pleasant enough though. Anyhow, food was underwhelming. Turkey leg was cooked well, but extremely salty. Fried green tomatoes were slimy inside. Mac 'n Cheese was bland and dry. Fried frozen okra, etc. I threw it up the next morning. Definitely won't be back. read more

First visit to this restaurant. The gentleman that took my order was very friendly and helpful. He told me their specialties were the turkey legs and catfish. I love both but was in the mood for wings, so I ordered the wing combo plain with collard greens and Cajun dirty rice. The wings were crispy and not overly seasoned (the way I like them). The collards were delicious. The dirty rice was a little salty for my taste but that's just my personal preference. The combo came with a drink so I ordered lemonade which was very good - not too tart or sweet. No ice was in the lemonade for some reason, but it wasn't a big deal to me. HOLY CRAP! This place is AMAZING! Flint area needs this place and ambiance. Lets start with the restaurant/bar itself; there is none like it. I can on a Saturday night and was able to listen to the live band for FREE! The customer service is amazing! I asked for recommendations based on most popular and they geared me towards the mississippi turkey leg. That is by far the most tender and flavorful turkey leg I have ever experienced. The dressing and the gravy just compliments it sooo well. I had an amazing time and they've gained a new regular customer. read more

We ordered takeout from the website because I saw the pictures and it looked so good. So we order and it really didn't take long at all for our food to be ready . We ordered the surf n turf stuffed turkey leg combo with Mac and cheese and candied yams, the Parmesan garlic chicken wings witch Mac and cheese and dressing and a side of meatballs and some of the woodles. I am SO glad we ordered from here and we WILL absolutely be back. The food was AMAZING. The turkey leg was moist and flavorful, the rice in it absolutely delicious with the Alfredo sauce, i could have used more Cajun in the Cajun Alfredo but nothing I can't add on my own since we ordered takeout. It was delicious without it i just like it a little spicy . The Mac and cheese was amazing and creamy, and the candied yams were absolutely delicious, buttery, sweet, and flavorful. The Parmesan garlic wings were also amazing. They're whole wings which I like and the sauce on them was delicious. The dressing was great even though I only got one bite in before my partner ate the rest. The meatballs were REALLY good they were so delicious and I wish we had ordered more of them . The woodles are eggrolls but filled with tasty seasoned chicken and pepper jack cheese and fajita veggies and they were so good dipped in that sauce as well as dipped a lil in that Alfredo. I will note it was hard finding the place because google kept wanting to send us to some house on kings court or whatever , but the place is right across from the insight on Hemphill, just walk into the smooth tunes jazz bar and they will HOOK YOU UP. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu and get more of those sides. thank you for the absolutely delicious food we WILL be back. read more
