The owner, Heather, has created an authentic container for community and transformation, offering space for growth that extends far beyond the physical practice. There is nothing accidental about finding yourself on your mat at Renew. The distressed hardwood floors and cracks in the walls reflect our shared imperfections, while the beautiful murals speak to boundless existence and unity beyond duality. From Kirtan-led classes with Shane to events that invite recognition of the soul through dance and energy, the entire studio experience is rooted in depth and connection. Nestled on the second floor of a storied building in the heart of downtown Petaluma, Renew is not a place to be missed--it is where peace, community, and transformation meet. It is a space where pain, laughter, triumphs, and struggles are welcomed equally by teachers and facilitators alike. If you live in Petaluma or are visiting, it's well worth stopping in for a class or event!

The studio is upstairs from Old Chicago on Petaluma Blvd. Heather curates a stunning space from entrance to yoga room. There is a 10,000 Buddhas mural by Amanda Giacomini that is a gift to sit under. I find it easier to be present practicing amongst the beautiful crystals sprinkled throughout with a wood floor and sky lights. The sound system allows teachers to use a microphone so it is easy to hear. The majority of the classes for flow focused, but many offerings to adapt for your preference. I hope you get to enjoy a class here.

In my fourth year my back hurt so bad I would take ibuprofen after work, tylenol p m to go to sleep, and Aleve if my bag hurt during the day. A friend of mine introduced me to Hot Yoga Republic and I was definitely skeptical at first. Does a construction worker even belong in yoga? The answer is YES! I took five classes in a row and and by the fifth class I was sold. Kathryn and the team are amazing, kind , inspiring, and supportive! 5 's I'll definitely keep coming back!

Unfortunately, it closed so I had to look elsewhere. Pro's: it's fairly close by, the heating and humidifying system is great, and the staff are very nice and seem to have their act together. It seems pretty clean, (but the locker room is meh). I like being able to purchase a 10-class pass that is good for a whole year. Con's: some of the classes are insanely jam packed. As in, other people's mats are a few inches from you in all directions. I understand they are trying to max out the capacity, but I will now only go to classes in the early morning because the other classes are so crowded. The other problem is parking. Many of the spaces are reserved for the other businesses in the strip mall and I'm afraid of getting towed. Moral of the story: show up EARLY for class in the afternoons, evenings and weekends to get a spot for your car and your mat! I will probably continue to practice here but I would not buy a monthly membership given the con's mentioned above.

The community here is fantastic! Completely non-judgmental, full of fun, down-to-earth people, and instructors who somehow make suffering in the heat actually enjoyable. I've been coming for 3 years now, rotating between hot Pilates and the classic 90-minute Bikram class (a true test of body and willpower). I started coming because I wanted to find a community that shared my values of health, fitness, and wellness. When you first walk into that hot room, it can feel intimidating, like, "Wait, I signed up for this on purpose?" But trust me, everyone starts somewhere, and you'll quickly realize you belong. Lynn and Jeff, the owners, are legends who have built something special with their three studios (Petaluma, SF, and Berkeley). I go to the Petaluma location. The vibe is great, with lots of friendly faces and the kind of heat that makes you question your life choices for 10 minutes and then thank yourself for the rest of the day. You'll walk out stronger, more resilient, and maybe a little addicted to the sweat. Just don't forget a big water bottle and a sense of humor. You'll need both!

Yoga always felt a little too slow for me without being challenging. That is definitely not the case with classes at NOW Power Yoga! The studio itself is a pretty big room that get heated for each class. I especially enjoy that each class is often powered by modern music with a heavy beat. The instructors are super positive and help set the mood. Depending on the class, there are some that will focus on weights versus holding moves. While I highly recommend, I would say for beginners to yoga who are not too familar with the moves may have a hard time following along. Recommend bringing a yoga mat, towel, and water bottle to class because you are guaranteed to sweat! You can also bring a refillable bottle as well since they have water stations. I also appreciate that they have a shower. Because it shares a parking lot with other businesses, I would caution that depending on the time of day parking can get difficult so may want to come early at peak times to ensure you get a spot in time. The same for the class itself! NOW Power Yoga is a worthy visit especially if you are looking for a heated yoga class!
