Since then I've been in twice and I've had a great experience! The office staff I've encountered has always been nice. Wait times have never been rough for me, both in the lobby to be taken back and then when needing to get x-rays. I have been seeing Dr. Kevin D. He's been really personable and kind throughout my experience! Overall this has been a great office to help me throughout the healing journey for my hand.

They saw my brother for a broken femur, which is obviously not a small thing, and from the moment we were there, the care felt different. The provider who saw him took her time, didn't rush through anything, and actually answered all of our questions in a way that made sense. You could tell she cared, not just about the injury, but about him as a person going through it. Same goes for her medical assistant. Super kind, attentive, and just easy to talk to. It didn't feel cold or clinical the way some places do. It felt like they actually wanted to make sure we understood everything and felt supported. Honestly, after seeing how they handled his care, I've been seriously considering switching my own care over to them. That says a lot coming from someone who's pretty particular about where I go. If you're dealing with anything orthopedic-related and want a team that actually listens and treats you like a human, I would absolutely recommend them.

The first week I called I was told it was being referred to the spinal specialist and they would need to review it so they could schedule me. I called back the next week and was told they still had not reviewed it but they would send another message. I called the following week and was told it was still being reviewed but they would send an urgent message and I would hear back with 24 hours. I called back the next day and was told it takes 48 hours for a response to an urgent message. I called back the next week and they said they still did not have it. I called back again the following week and was told "Oh it's been accepted we can schedule you now". We scheduled for two weeks out. The next day I got a call saying that was an accident that I shouldn't have been scheduled because it had not been reviewed yet and they needed to cancel the appointment. Today I finally got a call saying we need to refer you to someone else. So it took 5 weeks for them to tell me that they need to send me somewhere else. Meanwhile I'm in pain and doing what I can to alleviate it. The administrative process is awful. People should not have e to wait 5 weeks for a case to be accepted or referred out. On top of that no one at the office even knew what was going on as I was given several different messages.

My (good) doctor wanted a ct scan to see the extent of the injury and all Dr. Komatsu did was another x-ray that showed the same thing I knew before and said I was healing. How would he know?? He never did the ct scan to see the damage, not to mention it took over a month for an appointment. This is my second bad experience with them. He just didn't care in the 10 minute appt I had talking to him. He didn't listen to what I was saying, I felt invisible. He showed me the brace I needed on Amazon so I could buy one!! Then he referred physical therapy so I could get a wrist brace from them and they don't even do that! It's like he wanted me to be someone else's problem. Don't waste your time with this place. So now I have a broken wrist and have no idea what to do...if I could give zero stars I would.

I can lift my toddler son, I can now look up at the stars, work on my truck, play with my dog, and hug my wife, all without the debilitating pain I previously tolerated. Thank you, Dr. Shonnard - may you continue to live in grace. PS- his staff and colleagues at Proliance and in the surgery center have been the most (remarkably) compassionate people I've encountered in the healthcare field. Just wonderful.

I did have to go through my PCP for the necessary MRI before I was able to schedule an appt with his office, but everyone I dealt with was extremely professional and friendly. Upon being examined by Dr. Shonnard, he was warm, friendly, professional and thorough. I've since seen 3 more doctors to add more opinions to the mix and none of them have been as thorough in their assessments and examinations. He explained what was going on in my neck, what his believed my main option is and why, patiently answered what questions I had, requested that I schedule a followup appt and sent me home with a very clear letter explaining exactly what the operation entailed and what the risks could be. I was encouraged to do additional research and come back to the followup with any other questions. My husband was present for both the first and followup appts and between those appts I did get a second opinion (which was the complete opposite). Dr. Shonnard was still very warm, and very thorough and confident in his decision and was able to clearly explain why he thought his surgical approach would be superior to the second opinion's approach. He answered all the questions we'd come up with after reading the letter and doing research. Because of the aggressive nature of this surgery, I'm still waffling on getting it, but my pain and symptoms are increasing rapidly and my 4th opinion has brought me full circle to believing that it really is my best option. Every other surgeon I've seen has spoken highly of Dr. Shonnard and he is well known and respected in his field.

We love their therapists, they're so flexible and caring towards us. Everyone in that office is very kind and will greet you with a smile. My son would begin meltdowns right when we walked in - we were eventually switched to a different time and therapist, it didnt help any. The owner & new therapist seen my son once a week, he wasnt allowed anywhere but one small room. The owner led the sessions. My son has HIGH sensory needs, autistic and nonverbal. the owner specifically constantly took activities away that he enjoyed to regulate himself with and forced puzzles & other things (why we dont know). Once we started bringing him here he started having major aggression issues at home and at school. she ( the owner) would restrain him with cushions and tell the therapist it was okay "because thats not really restraining him with the cushion in between" when hes screaming and fighting to be let go. at our last appointment she (the owner) did the restraining again, & then I physically watched her grab him, set him on her lap to force him to do a puzzle and when my son looked away i watched her actually stop herself from grabbing his head and physically turning it for him back to where she wanted him to look. To the point i said "dont even think about it". My son actually came home with marks from his last appointment there and that's why i never took him back. The 2 therapist that he seen before the owner got involved were actually really helpful and they really did try but you could tell that they were uncomfortable and out of their wheelhouse With high sensory need children. Since we have stopped taking him there his aggression issues have completely went away and he stopped having issues at school. I would not recommend this place to anybody. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Also they charged me $50 for canceling an appointment because my son did not sleep at all that night And had slept most of the day and they told me that we should just reschedule For a different time that day because the therapist could handle it. They don't have the kids best interest at heart and that's obvious.
