The last thing I expected was to need rotator cuff surgery during a pandemic, and believe me, I was…read morenot happy to be going in person to see doctors, but this clinic is doing everything right, and I do feel as safe as I think is possible these days when I have to go to see my surgeon or my physical therapists. I agree with everything Leah O. said in her review about Dr. Aimee Klapach, and indeed, Leah's review is a big part of what led me to Dr. Klapach. Some people might think it's strange to find a doctor on Yelp, but I trust my Yelpers!! Before I went to see Dr. Klapach, I had been seeing doctors at FairView University for the better part of last year. I wish I had gone to see Dr. Klapach right away. I doubt she would have made me wait 8 months and jump through numerous hoops before telling me that surgery was inevitable. I can't ever get those eight months back, but thanks to Dr. Klapach, I am slowly getting back my range of motion, and I believe my pain is already less than it was before surgery, most of the time. I just had the surgery in December (which went great, by the way! They do it in an orthopedic facility, not a hospital, so my Covid fears were lessened), so it has only been a short time, and recovery for rotator cuff surgery is notoriously slow. But Dr. Klapach and her assistant Bradley are with you every step of the way, going above and beyond, to the point where the surgeon will actually pick up a phone and call you. Yes, I just about fell on the floor the first time that happened. Dr. Klapach really cares, and so do her staff. I am also really happy with the physical therapists on site. They do a great job, and are available by phone or email if you have questions about the exercises. Side note: They have recently re-branded to Allina Orthopaedics, but they are still the same great clinic with the same caring staff.

Look, I'm not gonna waste your time with all of my injury details. If you're looking at this page,…read moreyou're probably broken and vulnerable, and you just need to know the facts. Fact: "Expert" doesn't begin to describe Dr. Aimee Klapach, MD. She does 270 knee surgeries a year, a fact I kept repeating to myself when I was having anxiety spin-outs in the weeks before my ACL reconstruction surgery. That depth of experience matters when you're literally trusting someone with your limbs. Fact: She's a super conservative surgeon, bless her heart. She never tells me what I want to hear. She tells me what I need to hear. I don't want a risk-taking, skydiving bro giving me health advice. I want someone who's gonna tell me that "If it were my sister, I wouldn't do it" when I ask if I can fly to a wedding a few weeks after surgery because there's a small chance I could get DVT and die. She obviously didn't love disappointing me. But she takes her job seriously enough to be a firm advocate for my healing and my body, and at the end of the day that's what I need. Fact: Her work is excellent. I'm 9 weeks out from surgery and my knee is healing beautifully. I followed her directions and the result is that nothing has gone wrong: no infections, no mistakes, no risks, no mishaps. Just steady improvements day after day, which is all I can really ask for. Fact: She has an incredible team working with her. They called me the evening after my surgery to check in- which at the time felt like an incredible kindness- and when I have questions they always call me back within a few hours. Her scheduler was wonderful, and made sure we had everything we needed to prepare for surgery. I've always found it easy to book appointments, and Dr. Klapach goes to a variety of locations, making it easy to find a time and place that works with my schedule. I feel so lucky that I landed in her care, and can't recommend her enough.

Dr. Hansen was very patient and kind and everybody at Summit orthopedics has been so nice and so helpful.. I owe them so much changing my life with my knee replacements. I had no issues before during or after both knee replacements. I recommend summit orthopedics to anyone that asks. I feel like I'm a great self advocate for my health and care and they listen.. Dr. Hanson is the best! Every time I see him I always tell him thank you for changing my life.

A few days earlier I was stepping up onto a curb and heard a pop in the back of my knee. I was able to walk to where I was going, however after that, it was very painful. After 3 days of icing and tylenol, it wasn't getting much better. Time to have a professional take a look. I considered Urgent Care. Looking around at the different locations, some had x-ray and MRI and some did not. Then I thought about making an appointment with an orthopedist. It was then that I noticed that there was an orthopedic urgent care. I elected to visit the Summit Orthopedics in Woodbury. We arrived when they opened and registered. We were seen within 10 minutes. After taking some pictures of my knee, I met with a gentleman named Larry who examined my knee. He explained and showed us while there is no damage, there is arthritis. I was able to get an injection into my knee which wasn't as bad as I expected. This helped a lot with the pain. He then advised lots of ice and time. Really appreciate the information and care I received at Summit Orthopedics in Woodbury.

I selected get in the wait line as it told me about 25 minutes to be seen. I arrived, pleasant desk and asked to fill out part of information sheet as related to me injury. I was quickly directed to main floor desk for check in. Pleasant staff making me feel welcome .A nice waiting area to fill out my form. I waited 10 minutes, then escorted to treatment room. Tech asked me questions about my injury and took my temperature. Recorded our conversation and said doc would be right in. The waiting rooms so clean! Baseboards and walls like new. Exam table, chairs, desk with stool and quiet . I waited about 20 minutes for him, Dr Wissink. Great smile, personable, listened to my story, let me know he was going to record it for accuracy, felt the painful area. Recommended steroids and muscle relaxer with follow up orders IF I needed it for MRI and Physical Therapy. They called in my meds to my pharmacy. His associate followed up with a copy of my visit report. What started out as a day in pain only took me about an hour plus the drive to get a great resolution to my issue. Just outstanding!!! The icing on the cake? My meds were ready at my pharmacy by the time I got there. I had no idea there was urgent care for orthopedics Northland Plaza main floor to the left by escalators. I had been there to third floor for rehab after shoulder surgery two years ago. Parking was ample at the 8100 building in the ramp or on the grounds. Every time I go there I am impressed with the feeling of a clean beautiful lobby with information desk, gift shop and check-in desk. Staff amazing!!! Thank You Tria for a great experience. .

Instead by billing this as an office visit you are now out of network. When I inquired about why this was, they actually didn't care and reiterated they would bill my insurance as an office visit, even though my son was seen at an Urgent Care clinic. Even though my…read morehusband had some complications after surgery primarily due to the hospital's negligence, we are very pleased with Dr Vorlicky's work and his support team at TCO, especially Nate and Lauren. This review is not about the surgery or TCO, but instead about I-Health, who handles the billing for TCO. Out of 13 physical therapy visits, I-Health coded three visits for the wrong knee when submitting the bills to my husband's workers comp insurance. Of course the claims were denied, and even though I contacted I-Health numerous times and was told they would correct the error and resubmit the claims, I am still dealing with it over six months later. After the second denial by workers comp, again still submitted with the never corrected procedure code for the wrong knee, I-Health arbitrarily submitted the denied claims to my husband's Medicare insurance, and sent us a bill for the copays, of which we wouldn't have to pay anything related to his work comp injury if they would just code everything correctly. On top of that, they now randomly submit claims for subsequent visits to Medicare instead of workers comp. I have made no less than ten phone calls to I-Health over the last five months, including leaving two messages for the manager (Todd) to call me back (which he never did), and I'm now at my wits end. I am now writing letters to TCO's patients advocates, Minnesota's Attorney General's office, and leaving one star reviews on every social media platform that I can think of. What could have been a good experience for us and accolades for TCO, has now resulted in absolute frustration, wasted time on the phone and writing letters, and one star reviews for TCO since they chose to use such an incompetent company for their billing.
