This place changed my life. I went there in July 2024 with severe knee pain.. I was told that I needed two total knee replacements. Dr. Hansen has changed my life.. I went from not being able to go shopping or walking any more than three minutes at a time to strength training, walking everywhere that I want to go and shopping till I drop. Because of thei change in my mobility, I've lost 80 pounds. And I am able to enjoy my life again. Dr. Hansen was very patient and kind and everybody at Summit orthopedics has been so nice and so helpful.. I owe them so much changing my life with my knee replacements. I had no issues before during or after both knee replacements. I recommend summit orthopedics to anyone that asks. I feel like I'm a great self advocate for my health and care and they listen.. Old age is definitely catching up with me. In fact, it's here. Years of playing sports have taken their toll. A few days earlier I was stepping up onto a curb and heard a pop in the back of my knee. I was able to walk to where I was going, however after that, it was very painful. After 3 days of icing and tylenol, it wasn't getting much better. Time to have a professional take a look. I considered Urgent Care. Looking around at the different locations, some had x-ray and MRI and some did not. Then I thought about making an appointment with an orthopedist. It was then that I noticed that there was an orthopedic urgent care. I elected to visit the Summit Orthopedics in Woodbury. We arrived when they opened and registered. We were seen within 10 minutes. After taking some pictures of my knee, I met with a gentleman named Larry who examined my knee. He explained and showed us while there is no damage, there is arthritis. I was able to get an injection into my knee which wasn't as bad as I expected. This helped a lot with the pain. He then advised lots of ice and time. Really appreciate the information and care I received at Summit Orthopedics in Woodbury. read more

At my Woodbury appointment, the doctor promised to give me info about the procedure he recommended. He did not. He also said that he'd send a referral for a CT scan and that someone would call me to schedule that. I've waited 8 days. No promised phone call. As I was leaving the appointment, I asked one of the employees at the front desk on the second floor if she could check on the info the doctor failed to give me. I could see her as she spoke with my doctor's team and they just leisurely chatted as I watched and waited. After six minutes, I realized the woman didn't plan to help me but was instead just taking a work break for herself so I left. I also left a medical release form that day, requesting that a copy of my x-rays be sent by email to another clinic. That clinic didn't receive the x-rays so I had to cancel my appointment there. I checked with Summit, who told me that no such form had been received by medical records. Now I have to start over with my request. What's going on at the Woodbury Summit? read more

Can't find visit related anything. Have had I Lu e chats to get answers and I screen shot them so I have a record, because again there is not record of them on the portal. read more

My daughter injured her foot in March 2024. Our doctor recommended we get an MRI at Summit as its in Eagan and we live close by. We met with the doctor for 11 minutes online in March 2024 and got an MRI scheduled. We got the results and the followed up meeting for another 15 minutes online which cost a fortune which is OK if it ended up here . A year later -March 2025- they sent me another bill for additional charges claiming that my insurance didn't bill me correctly which is BS. You don't wait a year and send another invoice after i pair everything in full, this is not how it works. The service you provide is NOT worth the amounts you charge (541.00 $ for an 11 minute online consultation is ridiculous) . I will never come back again nor will i recommend you to anyone i know. read more

I have given Summit Orthopedics several 5 star reviews in the past because of good care, until today. Arrived early for an appt. with Allison Buth PA for a follow up for back injections.The registration person (Lucy) advised me that I did not have an appt. because I canceled it. After telling Lucy that I did not cancel my appt.,I was then advised by by her after several minutes in conference with co-workers went by that medical staff had canceled it. I was then advised by her that I could wait and they would work me into the schedule or reschedule for a later date. I advised her that since I was already there to please go ahead and work me into the schedule.After over an hour went by and checking back with her. I was told that she had never advised the medical staff that I was waiting because she wasn't sure that I was going to wait. I advised her that I had made it very clear that I would wait and that I was sitting right in front of her. After several minutes went by, she then advised me that it would be at least another 2 hours until I could be seen. Patients should not treated this poorly. Registration/Appt. personnel need to get their act together and not waste hours of a patient's time because of their errors. read more

Dr. Drogt and his team are phenomenal! I had a Left total knee replacement done in January 2025 by Dr. Drogt. Everything went incredibly smooth, from my first consult appointment, to my last post-op appointment. Scheduling appointments was easy and never had any issues. I do not remember waiting any more than 5 minutes for any of my appointments. The entire team was always very attentive, prompt, caring and friendly, any time I had called or sent them an online message. Although having a total knee replacement is no fun and is painful for a short time while recovering, I am crazy blessed as to how well and how fast I have recovered. About 2 months or so after my surgery, I was doing so well that I had forgotten I even had surgery! I am just over 3 1/2 months out from surgery, and have been fully recovered, with no pain, for nearly 2 months now. I highly recommend Dr. Drogt, as he is a phenomenal surgeon, who is caring and great at what he does! read more

i am waiting for my operation next Tuesday and while they made a few small errors when helping me they were clerical/miscommunication issues and not pertinent to my surgery or the great care I have received so far (We are all human). I was in intense pain until this morning and wasn't very kind to the staff and yet still they were so kind and helpful to me. Doctor/Surgeon Pepin is professional, knowledgeable and really took time to thoroughly explain in great depth the nuances of my meniscus tear while reviewing my MRI. I was initially upset as I wasn't prescribed anything stronger than Tylenol and ALEVE for my immense pain, i woke up today (5 days after accident) and my knee still obviously hurts but it's definitely manageable with the Tylenol and ALEVE and using a cold compression every hour just as Dr.Pepin planned. I would advise patients in similar situations to simply adhere to Dr.Pepin (I don't know nor am I reviewing any other Doctor/surgeon at Summit Orthopedics) plan as he is a very knowledgeable and experienced professional. As Dr. Pepin explained to me the first few days (4 for me) will be the most painful (pre-op) and then the pain should somewhat subside before surgery which ended up being exactly occurred. Don't use Dr.Google when assessing your injury or the pain management plan case/patient is different and it will lead you down a rabbit hole, not mention it's disrespectful to the good Doctor. As Doctor Pepin explained to me the reason a more potent pain medication wasn't prescribed in my case (probably most patients with my type of injury) PRE-OPERATION is so that after my operation next Tuesday these narcotic type medications will have a much greater effect on the more intense pain that I, the patient will feel after surgery. This is a fact based on scientific research and is actually done with the best interest of you the patient in mind. *This review was completed PRE-OPERATION and a further review and assessment will be written after surgery. read more

They booked me with a foot specialist even though I gave them the information that it was for my knee over the phone. I even gave them the specific diagnostic name of my injury. They realized this mistake after I showed up to the appointment and told them what happened and what I was there for. They did X-rays anyways and the Dr. did actually meet with me. After hearing my story it turned out that I needed to meet with a specialist outside of their office and he recommended someone. His care staff went the EXTRA mile to get me in sooner with the suggested orthopedic trauma surgeon and he and his staff were extremely helpful and kind even if the scheduler I spoke to was incompetent. I will mention that this office is absolutely massive. Easy to find and park. read more

I went in to see dr wills some months back. I was met in the waiting room by his PA. If you weren't aware what PA stands for- its pompous ass. I was basically demoted to the PA where he literally read from memory his spiel on l4,l5 issues which sounded more like a bored parrot at a hopping mathematician' convention. As he laid out my options for me , I could tell his mind was elsewhere and was pretty sure that he wouldn't even notice if I had left. He then passed on his findings to a sweet young lady who was to schedule and call me for a shot that may or may not help my current issue. That was the last I heard from them. It put me at ease immediately.He explained to me what was going on and it all made sense to me. The cortisone shot is starting to work. I am very happy about the appointment. All I can say is, disgusted. We checked into orthoquick. Upon arrival of the room, there was an arm cast on the patient bed from the previous patient. I pointed it out to the assistant rooming us who walked over, threw the used cast in the trash and pulled the paper over. I took the initiative to wipe the room myself. This is the outcome. Imagine how many bodies have walked in and out of this room and it was never cleaned. UNACCEPTABLE! I would give this place 0 stars. Come on, we are in a pandemic. Do better!!!!!!! read more

Went to summit for and toe issues for bunion removal and to straighten out my big toe on my right foot. Surgery went well for that. Then I developed a rather large foot ulcer on the bottom of same foot right under the big toe and second toe. The Dr.( I won't mention any names in this review) cleaned it up a bit, put bandage and wrap on it ordered anti biotics and sent me on my way to come back in a week for follow up. Well the next day my second toe swelled up bigger than my big toe,turned red,red,red and the skin split open and was pealing awry.i called him right away. He promptly returned my call and told me to come right in ASAP. When he looked at it he said it was bad, REALLY BAD. Then he said the toe would need to go. I was in surgery the next evening where it was removed. The surgery was at woodwinds hospital.That is another story for later. Well what happened next was the next day while I was in recovery this aggressive p.t.from summit orthopedics came in and wanted me do physical therapy!. I was in a hospital gown.i told her I wanted to put my underwear on she argued with me and said I don't need to. So as soon as we started my foot began to bleed pretty bad. Remember I just had an amputation a day earlier.pt was stopped and they put more gauze around the wound without even looking to see what happened.i developed a dangerous infection from this and I was put on an IV on antibiotics for 5 days in the hospital and when I was released I have to use a portable IV infusion antibiotic for 21 more days.y last one is hopefully on Monday August 2023. Fast forward 3 weeks later with the same blood soaked wrapping on I go back to the summit clinic where the wrapping was finally removed. It had bled so much that the wrapping was as hard as concrete. Underneath we were greeted with a grizzley surprise of a large hole covered in a scab. Underneith was a very large blood clot which was removed reviewing a large hole. I believe that when it came in PTcame way early and that busted open the newly sutured wound.But no one looked! Unbelievable! Anyway I had to back into surgery a second time to clean and close the wound again.i must say everybody at summit and woodwinds dropped the ball. After surgery the Dr. Put a vacuumed machine to promote healing over the wound I was to wear for five days. As soon as I left the hospital on the way home the machine began to beep indicating a vacuum leak. I could not figure out how to stop the beeping so it beeped all night long. Called summit dr.next day he top me to go to summit urgent care. Called in by pa they looked at me and the pump and couldn't figure out how to stop that annoying beep. PA said no way was it the wrapping. While they were out of the room I called the tech support number on the front of the machine. They told me how to test and fix. Did what they told me to do and vella the wrapping was the culprit. It was clear to me that these two pa's were not schooled with the use of these machines. They removed the wrapping the Dr. Put on and tried to wrap again. The one p.a. was a pompous ass in my opinion and about incompetent as they come. I did not see him once wash and sanitize his hands. All he did was put gloves on. I could not believe what he was doing to stop the new wrapping from an vacuum leak. He was using surgical tape in small pieces! It was like watching a kindergartner playing with tape. Why don't you watch some you tube videos on this subject and learn how real professionals do this. Then he would press down on the wound making it bleed and painful I told him to stop. This was a would from surgery the previous evening! What a damn fool! When the other pa came back I told her.he is not to touch me ever again. This guy needs to be fired as I have never seen such incompetence. Summit, this a good way to get a lawsuit filed! The other pa was better but still not very educated on thie use of type of injury or the use of this vacuum type equipment. I left there that day without my vacuum pump because no one knew what to do I went home with nothing more that a gauze wrapped foot. I truly believe I could do a better job myself. Do not go to summit orthopedics until you research others. This is not to say everybody there is bad but I have had my share of.bad experiences to look elsewhere. read more

Just a 30 minute initial visit with a physical therapist to talk about a sore elbow - charge was $614.00. REALLY!! Disgraceful.

I notified my doctor I was having back pain and they ordered an MRI. The problem was they didn't order it for the back, and had to order a second one, coincidentally, at their facility. When I notified them that they made the mistake and I shouldn't have to pay two copays, they claimed they di everything right. When they ordered two back injections, neither helped, and they run people through like an assembly line. read more

Excellent doctors and PA's but very poor post op follow up. No phone number for immediate serious post op problems, just the usual clinic voicemail. When I did reach a person, I was offered an appointment 1-2 months later by the "team" for a serious immediate post op condition which requires immediate surgical attention within 24-48 hours to avoid permanent nerve damage. The PA called me 4 days later regarding the symptoms indicating that he was just learning of them. Very poor post op triage system for a specialty that can have permanent disabling results. It doesn't matter how good a surgeon is if he doesn't follow his post op patients any better than this. read more

This is a specific incident around Dr. Nicholas Wills and his team. The front desk staff etc all were very helpful in assisting me to deal with this stressful situation and i really dont hold anything against them and wish them all the best. I came in may 28th with severe crippling back pain radiating down my leg. Have been trying to wait it out, going to chiropracter and even has physical therapy lined uo but was so sore i couldnt even do the stretches. I was unable to walk or stand/sit regularly for more than 5-10mins withiut fierce pain. So I schedule and apt with dr wills, and he sees me for 5 mins and tells me to schedule and mri and come back... After mri I'm told that every vertebrae in my back has issues, but that one disc in particular is herniated and bulging. They suggest spinal injection, we get an appt on the books and i continue to wait. All this time nothing was brought up about relief from the pain. So i call several times asking what I can do for pain. First call I'm told to take ibuprofen etc; so i try this for a few days with zero relief. Second call I finally am able to get script for muscle relaxers and anti inflammatory meds. Small relief, but enough to make it the week until my injection. I get the injection. I have about 50% relief for less than a week. I call back to ask about pain ramping back up and I continue to wait the 2 weeks to make sure the meds from epidural might kick in later. Still in excruciating pain. So we get a surgery for a decompression discectomy on the books 2 weeks out. At this point I ask for a Dr's note to excuse me from work since I have been calling in on bad days since april (incident is ongoing and occurred in june/July 22). They send my work a note stating that I am able to work with no restrictions forcthe next month... My surgery date, in the middle of this timespan, and if I was working as their note suggested, I would have had to work the day of my surgery less than an hour after release....... Luckily my work knows what I've been going through, as most people would have been looked at as a liar and let go on the spot. Then, today; 3 days before the surgery date - I get the expected call to go over surgery info. They ask me if I have gotten a pre op evaluation from my general Dr. I had never been informed of this nor had it been brought up to me in person or over the phone. On the phone I was told id get a call 3 days before surgery to go over what that day would look like. So they suggest we delay my surgery, with no regards for the pain I'm in or the fact that their incompetance is the only thing that keeps causing issues in this process. The lasting effects from covid wreaking havoc on the medical field and staffing are one thing, but a complete disreguard for a patients wellbeing is another and totally unacceptable. I have had half a dozen appointments at summit. I have only gotten to meet with my Dr. on two occasions, both of which lasted less than 5 minutes where he just walks in, says you need this, let's get it on the books and walks out. I feel a complete lack of concern for patients wellbeing and a total disconnect between what the Dr says in an appointment, compared to what the team says later on the phone. The note they sent my company would have been grounds for termination if my company wasn't very familiar with the issues ive been facing with my back. And that note came after talking to two seperate team members on two different occasions and reminding then that I have been unable to sit at a desk for over 2 months already. I find it highly unprofessional to have to call multiple days in a row and talk to different members of his team to get different answers, only for those requests to be ignored in the end anyways. I had an appointment for a second opinion today, and they informed me that I would most likley need to be out of work for recovery after surgery for 4-6 weeks. Contrary to Wills team who expected me to work same day as my surgery. And for the following 2 weeks with no restrictions. I could not in good conscious, recommend anyone go to Dr. Wills after my experience. He seems very genuine and concerned face to face but there is some disconnect between that and his team or something. My first appointment with summit was May 28th. Here I am July 11th, in the same pain after racking uo major bills, still unable to work, hardly able to walk, and no closer to a resolution because I had to cancel my surgery with them for fear of this incompitance spilling over into my surgery. Saw the doc for an ACL tear. I was told I would be contacted when they get the MRI results. I waited 3 weeks and was never contacted, so I called and made the appointment myself. After that appointment they said they would call to schedule the follow up and PT, but they never called again (This time I confirmed with the receptionist that she would contact me). PT went great! Extremely knowledgeable and caring PT staff st the Eagan clinic. Went back for a follow up appointment with the doc. He examines my knee for 5 minutes then refers me to see another doc because he doesn't really deal with young people ACL tears. Why would I be seeing him in the first place if that was the case? Waste of money, nkw I have to pay to go see another specialist. Overall doc was not knowledgeable and wasted my money. Would not recommend! read more

I had back surgery many years ago by Dr. Doodle there. He put in BAK implants that had to be taken out with in a five years. I was in horrific pain. He just said go back to work. Your fine. I found out 5 years later my back was never fused! I walked around from Doctor to Doctor for help but they couldn't tell on an X-ray. If he would have only believed me!!! I also had to go to Dr.Tountas for a work Comp claim. It was carpal tunnel. He said my carpal tunnel is no way connected to work. He cost me thousands of dollars! And now social security has lowered my disability. I need that to prove it. I had used a cash register all day that was equal to typing 8 hours a day! We didn't have scanners. Used price guns all the time. Things would just fall out of my hands from carpal tunnel. How can that not be from work. The Doctors at Summit are not there for YOU! They want the money from Employers to lie! It is truly wrong! This makes you give at least one star I would not have given. read more

I woke up one morning with severe back pain so bad, I was barely able to get out of bed. After ruling out other GI issues, I went to Vadnais Heights Summit Walk In Clinic. Given prednisone burst and pain meds. Week later, still unable to stand pain, I was seen by a PA. He gave me a choice of another prednisone burst or go to the ER for pain control and MRI. I chose the hospital, as pain was 9/10. I was discharged still in pain, so the staff got me in to see Dr. Andrew Clary. My husband and I both attended this meeting together. While in the hospital I was given the results of my MRI. Dr. Clary came into the room, brought up my MRI and said it was normal, that I should go to Twin Cities Pain Clinic for a Spinal Stimulator. Both my husband and I were shocked to not even asking a question. Here my MRI was normal, but needed a spinal stimulator? Shocked. He jumped up and left. wWe were and still are speechless. Went to Pain Clinic, the next week, yes, I have issues with my back, several listed , my MRI was obviously not normal and there was no way I was going straight to stimulator per PA, there were several injections to be tried first. I jections Summit could had done. Dr. Clary made it quite obvious he did not want to treat me and i have don't have a clue why. Horrible treatment of a patient. read more

Dr. Jack Drogt. at Summit orthopedics is phenomenal. I had both my knees replaced this summer, my left knee in June and my right knee in August. The Mayo Clinic doctor in Rochester, MN refused to do my surgery because I have factor V Leiden. I'm glad he didn't do the surgery because Dr Drogt.'s professionalism and vast experience is what I needed. I would definitely, definitely recommend him to anyone who is considering having knee replacement surgery. I cannot express my thanks to him enough, my life has changed drastically. read more

Waited over an hour past appointment time for the surgeon to tell me that having my knee operated on wouldn't be successful because I have an autoimmune disorder (that is well controlled and was present when he initially told me I needed surgery), and that I should get gastric bypass before seeking a new surgery. He had to ask me what I weigh - he didn't know before he made that recommendation, because no one reads your chart here prior to your appointment. Being my own advocate, a quick Google search and a few phone calls later, I'm 10 BMI points from even being ELIGIBLE for a weight control operation. So operating on my knee won't be a success, but stomach surgery would? I should mention my autoimmune disease is Celiac / Crohn's... you don't need years of medical school to realize it was really bad advice to recommend I get an optional surgery that would mess with my GI tract. The worst part was that he said this conclusion was the result of him speaking to other colleagues... this speaks poorly of the entire lot. No sir, I don't need a "second opinion" from whoever you've been talking to... I had not lost or gained weight since the initial consult - they could have called me on the phone rather than dragging this out, but I suppose that doesn't bill my insurance. Eight weeks of my life wasted waiting on staff that didn't bother to pull my MRI and attach it to my file (both times I went, I was told to get x-rays or an MRI I already had done...) Be aware that staff WILL NOT check your chart before giving advice - I was told to take Ibuprofen while taking Prednisone, which is a nice recipe for ulcers or worse. When I informed the staff that I would not be doing that for that reason - she giggled and said, "oh really? Huh. I don't know what else to tell you... go to our urgent care if the Ibuprofen doesn't help." Just WOW. They can't follow their own logic; if you care about your health, avoid this place. read more

In July of 2017 I went to Summit to address pain in my left knee. The diagnosis was that I had a torn meniscus and would require surgery to resolve it. The surgery was scheduled and was performed on Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 by Dr. N*****. After the surgery, a dressing was applied, my leg was wrapped and I went home with no instructions, or "after procedure" advice. I began experiencing sharp, burning pain in my knee joint. Walking became very painful and it became nearly impossible to find a position in which I was comfortable. Having never gone through any surgical procedure before, I didn't know if this was normal, temporary, or if there was a problem. In the mean time I limped along in pain. At my two week follow up appointment at Summit, with Dr. N*****, I told him that my knee hurt and that walking was very painful. I was also moving with a severe limp, which even he said was not normal. Apparently, most people who have this "common" procedure are nearly back to normal in a few days. This was not the case for me. Dr. N***** examined my knee and came to the determination that during the meniscus surgery, they had injured / stressed my medial collateral ligament (MCL). He recommended a hinged knee brace, which I needed to wear every day for the next 4 to 6 weeks. While the brace did offer some support, it did nothing to alleviate or reduce the pain I experience while walking. At another follow up visit, Dr. N***** said I didn't need to wear the brace any longer. There was some mention of physical therapy sessions. However, as it turns out the patient is responsible to make their own therapy arraignments. This all occurred in late 2017 - early 2018. It is now April of 2019 and my knee is still painful and I have been walking with a limp for over a year and a half. Also, since then, I've learned that the Dr. who did my surgery was let go! So, I limp along with no relief and am facing going to another Orthopedic center for treatment. I have surgery-site pain nearly 5 months post-surgery (which is worse than the original condition) and I'm getting tired of the rigamarole of scheduling visits with no resolution. I even visited OrthoQuick, which was quick but provided little relief. Every visit requires three visits to complete one step in the process. The initial visit determined that I need another procedure (like an MRI), which required me to schedule another visit. I would stop by the on-site scheduler desk after each initial consultation, but they said they had to check with my insurance to make sure the procedure was covered (like a send MRI which was covered previously) and that they would call me back. BEWARE: Summit Othopedics care teams DO NOT return phone calls on the weekends! This should be a big red flag. Any good surgery team has somebody on weekend duty. My wife had a knee replacement late Thursday afternoon. The anesthesiologist didn't listen to her "Narcotics make me dizzy and nauseous" and her pre-op visit marked her as someone with severe motion sickness. All the indicators for the use of a scopolamine patch instead of relying on Zofran. The next morning in their care unit, the nurse finally got the approval for a scopolamine patch when the PA showed up. Scopolamine patches are supposed to work for 72 hours; however, on my wife, they last about 60 hours as we learned years ago on cruises. So when the patch effectiveness wore off on Sunday afternoon, no way to get a refill until the PA shows up on Monday. The surgeon didn't listen to "my wife gets really loopy and doesn't know what day it is on oxycodone, 10 mg hydrocodone works well". He prescribed 5mg hydrocodone saying the 10 mg were too strong. Excuse me, but the dose of 1 to 2 5mg oxycodone every 6 hours vs 1 to 2 5mg hydrocodone every 6 hours is NOT an equivalent amount of pain relief for when the nerve block wears out. Bottom line, the wife fell on Sunday between 10 and 11pm and had to call 911 to get the fire department paramedics to get her up, to the bathroom, and back to bed. Now I'm waiting to see what they will do about getting her into a rehab center since I obviously can't safely deal with her at home. ASK your surgeon if they have 24 hour on call people to answer and evaluate and get a doctor on call to deal with issues. read more

This place is like an amusement park ride with no seat belt, may seem like a good idea when your in until you see how much they don't care about your well being and If I could give this place a half of a star or no star I would! I came in with extreme pain and the doctors were helpful at first. After 3 MRIs a CT Scan and they seemed a bit incompetent in terms of trying to figure out what's wrong. One doctor told me my herniated disc was large then another doctor told me that my herniated disc was the reason why I am going through pain. Another at the same location told me it was an cervical rib that I had that needed to get removed and that was the problem. Now they are telling me to talk to the surgeon there who can't figure it out either. I am here now in extreme pain in the parking lot in my car because they can't take me in any earlier even though I told them it was an emergency. This is even after they have prescribed me a pharmacies worth of drugs that I have told them doesn't work. The support staff is also worthless! I told one receptionist at the front desk that I can't write and I cannot fill out the form. Walked to the bathroom came back and asked another receptionist if it's possible to see the doctor any earlier. As God is my witness the receptionist said "your not seeing anyone until you fill these forms out and your appointment is in a couple hours so have a seat!" This is why I am now reclined in my car because of the pain I am in. Sad thing is that's not even the worst part. Anytime you want to talk to any of the many doctors they force you to see in order to get an answer, you have to call the main line then they send you to the doctors patient coordinator who doesn't get back to till the next day or longer. With no explanation why they took so long to get back. I am not ranting I am doing you a favor so no one else goes through this madness. DO NOT GO HERE FOR SPINE CARE!!!! read more

Summit Orthopedics charges $1,129 for a brace that is sold in stores for less than $200. They charge $259 for "evaluation" and another $126 to show us how to place the brace. A total of $1514 for a brace! This is how they take advantage of people who get injured skiing. Thank you very much. read more

They didn't care about my concerns. 1000 dollar bill that I sent them a letter to dispute and of course they didn't care and threatened to send it to collections. Will never go back and will never recommend them to anyone. Do not go there, they don't care about your concerns,only making money. read more

My significant other and I both trusted our care to Summit Orthopedic in Woodbury. Both having to have surgeries that were not successful. Both of us needed 2nd surgeries. (What's the chances of that?) Both had paperwork delays going out to insurance/ disibilit. And also employers. Double the Bill's and running out of FMLA time with our employers due to the care we have received.. we do not recommend this company for orthopedic cares. read more

No one really cares about your complaint here. Their doctors can make a joke at your cost and no one did anything to the guy. I was told I have the exact same problem my last doctor said I don't have. Bursitis. After getting many shots of cortisone my last doctor ordered a mri. He said it was the end of the line for the shots because there is nothing wrong with my bursa sacs. He sent me to physical therapy. My dermatologist recommended getting a second opinion so I went to summit. He does an mri and says I have bursitis. Now I have to spend more money on a third orthopedist. I tell you one thing though I believe my first doctor way more than the comedian on summit. Do yourself a favor don't go there. read more

For sure, go to Summit if you are interested in rushed, unprofessional and impersonal medical care from the "Wal-Mart of Medicine in the Twin Cities". As a newly transplanted St. Paul person, with a congenital defect of the spine, I needed to find a new clinic - and chose the big boys in town. I am now doing research to find some real medical care around here. At first, I was impressed with the number of clinics Summit has, and the fact that I was able to get an appointment within days of my initial phone call. Once I got in there, and realized what it's like - I now understand. Summit runs its medical practice like a third-world factory running late for a deadline. They can take new patient appointments within days because they've allotted you 1.5 minutes with a doctor, the rest of the visit is with techs and PAs. This works absolutely great in an Urgent Care setting, where you've fallen, sprained a wrist - and need to get seen quickly and treated for a simple and straightforward problem. If you have any ongoing orthopedic needs - STEER CLEAR of Summit! They are only interested in lining their pockets with the proceeds from as many visits as they can cram into a day. There is ZERO interest in providing comprehensive orthopedic care to those of us who have ongoing needs due to congenital defects, automobile accidents, etc. And, to be sure, they've clearly hired physicians who fit the bill. Young, arrogant, 'fresh out of fellowship and hungry to make a buck and pay of their loans' surgeons. You get absolutely no impression that your doctor is listening to you, is interested in your symptoms or concerns, or willing to listen long enough to actually hear what you are saying. I swear I was waiting for the fire ants to come spilling out of my doctor's pant leg he was having such a hard time sitting still while I was telling him my concerns! Stay away! (Unless you just separated your shoulder and need it popped back in quickly - then Summit can provide exactly the type of "doctor" that you need!) read more
