Our baby was delivered at this hospital recently, and it was a great experience…read more I won't say it was a smooth one, but the staff and resident doctors are there to help you to the best of their capabilities. Even though we had our designated OB Doctors assigned for delivery, resident doctors are equally helpful and skilled (especially Dr Gabriela Portilla-Maldonado). My wife was admitted and discharged in 67 hours. It was planned induced labor, and we were asked to get admitted around 830 PM EST, but even they made us wait for 90 minutes (the room was getting cleaned) Labor was induced around 1 AM by Dr Gabriela Portilla-Maldonado, and it was a painful but, I guess, memorable experience for both of us We were helped by many nurses through delivery, then Postpartum room, and except a couple of them ( I guess they are still learning), everyone was so good, especially Jean during delivery. Post delivery, it was Shruti, and Ava, Rebecca, and Jeany during Postpartum. I have nominated them through their Daisy program. postpartum time: Room was big, facility was top notch, some lady also came to take our feedback regarding cleaners, and food. Food: Their inhouse cafeteria is good too. though husband was not covered and they need to pay seperatley, but wife had no issue in their food. You can order through their Menu, The only issue was that they close by 730 PM. Some not so good experience was also there- some newbies nurses were not skilled enough to channel the injection for IV fluids and if they cant get success in first attempt, they should have been called their experienced one to take the charge. so there we had bad experience. but overall, facilities, doctors, security, process- everything was top notch. Also, it was expensive. My wife was admitted here once in emergency (pregnancy phase), it was just for 3-4 hours, and we got a bill for $7316, and even after insurance, we had to pay $2263. Parking: It's $7/day. Once paid, it's good for the whole day

REVIEW OF ER ONLY:…read more Going to the Emergency Room is scary. Earlier this month, I had to go to the ER for sudden and increasing pain. Fortunately, I received quality acute care and was taken care of well during my visit. It had been almost ten years since I've walked foot in this hospital, formerly Saint Barnabas, now branded Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. I got to see the new wing/facilities when I was wheeled around to get an ultrasound. It's all new and impressive looking. I was joking with my transport professional about how I remembered that there used to be a McDonalds at the hospital. The intake process was smooth. It's a stressful situation, but they were great at the intake counter and security was friendly also. Every time a medical professional interacted with me, they gave their name and were clear with what was about to happen. I felt safe and heard as a patient.

If you want to be another fatal statistic, play roulette with your life or loved ones life, during…read morea serious life threatening emergency, than RWJ ST Barnabas Livingston ER, is the place to be. I would not recommend the Emergency room at St Barnabas to the most vile individual. The Emergency Room at RWJ St Barnabas Hospital Livingston is a place I would not recommend any breathing soul to visit. PLEASE DO YOUR LOVED ONES A FAVOR, GO ELSEWHERE (Morristown Memorial, St Claire's, Holyname, Englewood) Our experience felt like something straight off tv! Pediatric Nurse Erin R (a disgrace) and Grace R (horrible) Nurses in pediatrics HORRIBLE! These nurses are a disgrace to RWJ St Barnabas. The Pediatric Emergency Room is beyond horrible. My child could not walk, or stand. I asked the nurse at the entrance if she could bring a stretcher to help, get my child into the ER., my child was weak, in enormous pain. The nurse huffed at me like I was asking for millions of dollars. My child was admitted, needed 2 transfusions, and needed intensive care. The lack of compassion, care, no concern, desensitized, inappropriate behavior of the ER nursing staff, lack of communication amongst doctor's, nurses, and patients is life threatening. I will say the Pediatric floor has improved, and I appreciate all of the nurses that has cared for my child for the past 4 years. Unfortunately due to a few bad apples in the ER, we will never return to this place, regardless of the circumstances. This hospital is a train wreck looking for a time, and place. It won't be with my family or friends! Yes sharing your review on social media will encourage others to think twice. Hopefully positive changes for the better will happen, that hold a few bad surgeons, and nurses accountable. The Joint Commission, medical board, nursing license board, consumer affairs, as well as going after these negligent surgeons at St Barnabas ability to write medication for pain, narcotics will get immediate attention, adding loss of accreditation, possibly being kicked to a Tier 2 hospital which will hurt the hospital financially. Only after RWJ St Barnabas is held fully accountable on every level that affects there finances will they understand the depth of pain, and disappointment, that they have caused patients, families, and the community!

Hospitals are hard to review. YMMV - your mileage may vary. I've come here to accompany clients or…read moreotherwise to the emergency room visits more times than I care to count. Each time though while there have been hiccups, overall each visit has been pretty good things considered. Average wait time is about 25-30 minutes and most of the time the staff have been patient and helpful with my clients. The ER is very big and accomodating for people which probably helps with the fairly reasonable wait times. The check in is pretty efficient although they should have a better system than shouting the persons name and have them schlep over to the desk. The parking is fair and they validate which is nice as having been to other hospitals it is not like that and despite paying is a royal pain in the rear. Hospitals in general aren't ideal places for visiting but here by way of the ER, you could do a lot worse.
