This co is out of compliance w federal law They do not have a way for a patient to access their records for on demand access. When questioned the office mgr and other employees hang up on you when u quote the law. I gave them numerous opportunities to fix this issue. What am unprofessional drs office! My wife and I both have been to Summit Imaging several times over the past 4 years and have never been pleased with their service or the long waits past our appointment times. Now on two separate we learned of a small amount owed when one of our accounts have been turned over to a Collections agency without first sending and invoice. there are two many similar service providers in our area to put up with poor service and admin failures. read more

If I could leave a negative number for a rating I would!! The Summit Imaging in State Road 50 in Spring Hill FL are Very Unprofessional & are very rude to clients. it seems ALL they care about is their equipment & IT work- they show absolutely zero empathy or compassion for their patients! It's a cold, steel unwelcoming feeling you are left with while there. And the phlebotomist skills are absolutely TERRIBLE!! Why would it take someone to attempt to TRY an over start three times and failing before calling someone with more experience to do the skill. But the "Boss" in charge was too focused on a new machine delivery than the patient care or well being!! He too totally failed after multiple attempts at an iV. There was significant hematomas left in multiple places even three days afterwards & very painful too! Very Very Poor Professionalism Displayed!! They Totally FAILED!! This place has equipment that appears to be from the 1950's. And while that may not affect out comes of the imaging, it definitely affects your overall comfort. Plus MRI tech has no bed side manners. I am a 71 year old handicapped female who could not get up from the MRI table without a little help. The tech replied he could not, did not have the physical capabilities, to help me. Oldest mri machine and smallest I've Ever seen. Didn't know they were affiliated with West Hernando Diagnostic or i would have never went. What a waste of time and money. They used their own useless ct scan that missed a super large Diastasis Recti and this one showed nothing abnormal! I had ct scan in April at Oakhill Hospital and 11/25 TGH Hospital in Springhill which Both showed fatty atrophy Pancreas and Divisim of the Pancreas Dutcs. Doctor in Tampa laughed and said it was useless and a terrible care procedure and resulted in Insurance refused to approve the Necessary Stents for my Pancreas. I got claustrophobia from the smallest machine ever and technican said we'll have to reschedule! I said calm down and just give me a moment, he left and a female finished the exam. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS LOCATION TOO. SERIOUSLY DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE! Freezing lobby I can deal with. Long wait I can deal with. But...I saw a lady ask to use the restroom because of having to wait longer than expected and while she was in there, they called her name. Even though several of us said where she was and that she should be right back, they made her reschedule! This place is a joke I waited almost 2 hours to get a CAT scan after being told I was next 7 or 8 more people were called back I was in extreme pain and told them that but they did nothing so final I walked out and called my cardiologist which told me to go to the ER but they cam out to my truck and asked me if I was coming in I agreed then when I was done they told me I could leave so I asked them if I should take the needle out of my arm or are they going to do it. after that I left. worst experience of my life, Do not go there very unprofessional!!! Claire in scheduling got my 2 test scheduled before my insurance runs out this year. My PCP just faxed them over and boom it is done like that. Great place and I have been going there over 30 years. Claire went above and beyond since there is someone else who has my name and she verified all my info. I did scheduling for 10 years and it is hard to please everyone. Paper work and waiting time can be difficult but necessary. read more

I'd advise making an appointment if you are in a lot of pain or otherwise cannot wait. The waiting room was filled but the 45 min. wait time quoted was about accurate. The staff are nice, it is a busy holiday weekend. I had them check on an X-ray from ages ago when I fell down the stoop, and they were able to locate it even though we quoted them the wrong date of service. I'm hoping that the results from the X-ray don't show worse degeneration than I had before. My new orthopedic doctor sent me there after an appointment today. He doesn't know how to help or evaluate me until he gets the results of these x-rays and of bloodwork back. I get so confused by trying to navigate the medical system that I feel like I should hire a medical assistant just to help me keep my appointments , meds and head on straight. Pain and degenerative disease is affecting my memory, or perhaps it's something else. But I don't recognize who I am anymore because of pain and disease. Which leads me to explain, I was very appreciative of how helpful and sweet the x-ray staff is. Particularly Adrian, the x-ray tech. I had broke down crying because it seems to be a "perfect storm" lately of intense bodily pain from the many falls I've had, as well as arthritis, and the heat outside, plus it's coming up on a holiday weekend so the roads and the waiting rooms were extra crowded today. My husband had been waiting for his appt. for weeks and was told when he arrived that the technician did not come in so his appt. was canceled. It is nothing short of incompetence when the office could not take the time to give him a courtesy call thereby saving time, travel and inconvenience. The office staff upfront as well as the folks that are located behind the doors in the back offices and the technicians are, caring, accommodating , friendly, professional and even will go out of their busy schedule to help you. This is the first time I have rated an Imaging place. I came in for an ultrasound for a blood clot in my right leg. The lobby was packed. I filled out forms and I was pleasantly surprised that it did not take long at all for me to go in the back and have mine done. The lady that did the ultrasound was very nice. I absolutely love this place. I have needed two procedures both times I went there and they were able to get both back to back in the same day instead of separate appointments. When I walked into the waiting room, there were probably about 25 people sitting there! Well, I had my music and headphones and hunkered down for the long haul! Surprisingly, Within 20 minutes, I got called!I had a mammogram, then as soon as I was finished, she walked me down to where I was to have my ultra sound. Again, I was quickly seen, this time, only a 5 minute wait. Every staff member I saw was helpful and friendly. read more

I was referred to summit for an xray by my Dr. Summit doesn't take appointments for xrays. After registering and waiting over an hour I asked what was going on since people that came after me were being called. The receptionist said my chart was on wall and that I would be called anytime.10 minutes later I went back up. The receptionist tried contacting the technician, unable to do. It was then I was told that they only had 1 xray technician there!!!!!. 20 people waiting for an xray with 1 technician. I got angry and said Forget it. One of the receptionist started laughing thinking it was funny. A complaint has been sent to Summit management regarding the employee that was laughing because I was angry over waiting so long. I contacted my Dr's office, told them what was going on. They have to now resubmit the referral to a different imaging outlet causing more time to get my medical problem resolved. Stay away from them. They have no respect for the the elderly and are grossly understaffed. smh read more

Summit has been here for a long time. Their staff for the most part have also been there for a long time. It is nice to go to a medical office and see familiar happy faces to help me, people that are experienced and pleasant From the time I walk in to the time I walk out, I am treated with courtesy and respect. That is hard to find around here. There seems to be a constant turnover in most offices. If you need a Mammogram, Dawn is wonderful. I called on March 8,2019 in the late morning and spoke with Liz, seeking a MRI appointment for a left bicep injury. Liz said that she could get me in on Thursday March 14, 2019 or sooner if the Doctor had already received a preauthorization for the MRI. I told her that I didn't think my plan required a preauthorization, but that I would check and get back with her. I called the insurance company and wasn't able to get through to them until after 3PM due to technical problems. I got through to the insurance company around 415PM and confirmed that no appointment was necessary and that they were in network and it would be covered at 100%. I called Liz back around 420 PM and she said they would still need to run it through the insurance company to get approval. I told her to call the provider line if she needed to verify coverage and she could do that right then. Reluctantly, she asked for the Doctor's name and contact info and said that she would call over to get the order and took my contact info, advising me that she would call me back once she got it to schedule the appointment. I didn't hear anything back that day. After the weekend, I waited until after noon on Monday March 11, 2019 and still had not heard anything back from Liz. I called again and spoke to Liz. Liz informed me that she had not heard anything back from the Doctor's office as of yet and was waiting on their order before proceeding. I told her I would call the Doctor's office which I did and was informed that they had a completed fax receipt showing that the order had been faxed at 451PM on Friday, March 8, 2019, but that she would send it again. She instructed me to tell Liz that if she did not receive the fax in 5-10 minutes to call her. I called Liz back at Summit and relayed the information to her. I confirmed that she had my number and would call me back to schedule the appointment once she had received the order. She agreed to do so. I heard nothing back from Liz that day. I waited until approximately 230 PM on Tuesday March 12, 2019 and still heard nothing back from Liz at Summit. I then called Advanced Imaging Concepts and spoke with Kelley. Kelley said depending on the Doctor's order, she could get me in the next day. She requested the Doctor's name and contact info and told me that she would call the Doctor and request the order and call me back to schedule the appointment once it was received. Five minutes later, Kelley called me back and scheduled me for an appointment tomorrow morning at 920 AM. How hard was that? I should have gone to them to begin with instead of wasting days trying to deal with incompetence. Lesson learned. read more

Had a mammogram and was called back for a second mammogram on the left side. 2 days later I was told I needed to make an appointment for an MRI ASAP. I called as soon as I hung up with my doctor's office. The phone rang and rang before someone answered, quickly said 'please hold" and put me on hold for 9.5 minutes before I was cut off. I called right back and again the phone just rang and rang before someone answered and slammed me onto hold so quick yet I was on hold for a whooping 10 minutes this time before I was hung up on. I'm nervous enough about all this but then to go through this...you would think they would show a little concern for what the patient is going through. No one goes there without there being a reason; usually illness or accident or mammogram and then the happy times; to see your baby. But as professionals (they are very unprofessional in the front area) they should show or at least fake, a bedside manner. read more

Scheduled an MRI of L-S spine. Only sat in waiting room 4 minutes after signing in before my name was called. Dan had me lock up any valuables I was carrying and then took me into the MRI room. He explained in detail what to expect , had me lay down on a narrow but comfortable table then covered me with two warm blankets and a set of headphones with relaxing music. Honest to God napped out for about 10 minutes and didn't realize it was over until I felt the table move that I was lying on. Could not of asked for better service beginning to end. My husband and I have been going to Summit Imaging in Brooksville Fl. for years. We have seen staff come and go but the care and attention have never changed. My doctor sent me for a fairly minor test today and I was taken care of with the utmost care and attention. Dr. "G" did my test and explained the entire test to me and what it does. He was pleasant and caring as so was his assistant. My results were nothing to be concerned about but follow up with our doctor will determined a course of action.
