Went to have knee replacement at comprehensive outpatient joint and spine institute. What a wonderful staff! I was treated with kindness, helpfulness,and wonderful care. My surgical nurse Mandi was such a great, great lady! She llaughed when she handed me the ever so lovely pull ups! Best part she was even able to talk me off the ledge, I was truly wigging out! My Dr. Moynihan was great, I even got his autograph ( on my knee).Anthony after surgery was amazing with post op care. Had me up and moving in no time and helped explain my care when home to my Hubble and myself, which I don't remember most of it. That would be a great reason so have your person there to get it. Home now with care from a very over protective Hubble. Guess I will enjoy that part for awhile! read more

I recently survived a car wreck but my spinal column was injured. A Specialist Doctor here reviewed my MRI raw data, somewhat described my injuries to me, suggested an intense course of steroids to reduce inflammation, to be followed up with Physical Therapy and Chiropractic. The doctor also prescribed a muscle relaxer, but they do not write ANY prescriptions for pain medication. They only refer patients to a Pain Management Clinic. It's a Florida thing. Paying out-of-pocket, the office visit was only $120. I thought that was very reasonable - until I discovered it's for 15 minutes of the doctor's time. He couldn't interview me about my signs and symptoms, review my MRI, and discuss treatment options with me in 15 minutes! After waiting 3 weeks for this appointment, I would have gladly paid $240 to get 30 minutes of the doctor's time. You better make sure your medical records and MRI's get here before your appointment, and then talk fast! We never got to discuss my specific Physical Therapy needs at all, but they did give me the business cards for 3 PT clinics. And I will be receiving some prescriptions to reduce inflammation in my spine. I am rating 5-stars because WCMI certainly knows what they are doing, but visits are somewhat rushed and overlapping. They are good doctors and caring doctors. #2. I spoke with the Administrator and we agreed to disagree. He doesn't want any patients to feel rushed, but they do schedule 15 minute appointments. Professional staff work at this facility so my fears and anxiety were soothed. Dr. Canillas was wonderful he did my first set of jell injections and this was one of the first times I felt no pain with the injections. I think he used the appropriate amount of numbing spray while others might not have from other offices. My appointment was scheduled for 8:30 and I left at 9am, so there was very little waiting involved. This office and staff have exceeded my expectations. Thank You, thank you. read more

The doctors were nice... But they told me I had a cyst or a lump full of fluid on the side of my knee along with a torn meniscus. They did not do a biopsy on the lump. They did however try to drain the lump twice. When it had grown so large and it was really hurting me, they tried to drain it again with no luck. I was told at that point we should move forward to do surgery. (Had they of done a biopsy they would've known it was cancer.) So we did the surgery and they removed the tumor, I mean "cyst". By the way, the meniscus wasn't torn at all. That was false. The meniscus was perfectly in tact. And because they didn't get clean margins the cancer grew back a second time, causing me to have another surgery in the same exact place to actually remove it all. But I did NOT let WCM do the second surgery, I absolutely went to a cancer specialist. Funny that I write a review on the business and I get no reply for FOUR YEARS! And their response is, I can call and speak with a manager. I DID call and speak with a manager dozens of times in 2016 between the months of May and July. Like I said, In April, I paid WCM my deductible because they told me I had to otherwise they wouldn't do the surgery. The Anesthesiologist submitted their billing long before WCM did, so I had to pay my deductible to them, NOT WCM. WCM is very slow with submitting their billing. Trying to get my deductible BACK from WCM was a complete nightmare. They made up many different excuses each time I called, as to why it was taking so long. At one point, they told me because my insurance hadn't paid their part in full yet, they were not going to refund the money that I had paid them. End of July, I called them for at least the dozenth time and said this has taken way too long and I wanted my money back. I told them I had reached my Out Of Pocket maximum for the year back at the beginning of July, and that they needed to refund me immediately as now they no longer have any reason to hold onto my money, legally they had to refund it at this point. The manager tried to tell me to submit proof that I owed the money elsewhere and proof that I had hit my OOP max, which she can go into my medical screen and view that. I told her I wasn't providing any proof as I know for a fact she can log in and see how much I have paid to my insurance. ANY medical place can log in and view what you need to pay, what you owe, etc. At that time they did ended up refunding me. Had I of not stayed on top of them about getting my money back, they wouldn't have cared to refund me. But once I hit my OOP Max beginning of July, they should have immediately refunded me. But nope, not until I called them to get it back. At that point, it still took weeks to get it back, so I didn't officially get my money until August. It is absolutely YOUR responsibility WCM to refund my deductible when it wasn't yours in the first place. To try and insinuate the billing isn't your responsibility is a joke. Nice try passing the buck, but that's not going to work with me when I've experienced it first hand. Thank you for finally apologizing though. I do appreciate that... read more

I took my wife to this office on 4-17-23. The entire staff was courteous and friendly. The doctor as well as the medical assistant/ surgery coordinator were very compassionate and helpful. This entire office went out of their way to help my wife. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone. We drove from Crystal River to WCMI Orthopedic, and the difference between this office and the Office we went to previously in Crystal River was well worth the drive. I highly recommend going to WCMI Orthopedic rather than our previous doctor and office in Crystal River. read more

Yesterday I went to the WCMiortho Company in Brooksville Florida. I was not impressed and I doubt that I will be returning. On a scale of one to ten (ten being a good score) I would give this company a 4. WC Ortho is surely NOT world class treatment. Here's why. First of all, I did not like it when I walked into the building and was greeted by this tall slender man asking me if I used Yelp. While I am completely aware that Yelp is a rating service that is used independently by people that want to share what they think of a company's services, I did not like this man asking me if I used Yelp. His greeting reminded me of how President Trump uses ratings of how his regime is viewed. I remember when Trump did not want a cruise ship to return to the US because it would have increased his numbers of the Corona virus. Ratings services are private and I could see no way of my allowing this tall man at WCMiortho to influence how I considered my treatment. Next, I did not like it when I was asked to complete my admission paperwork outside in my car. It was very hot in my car and because there were about ten pieces of paper I had to complete, it was uncomfortable. When I returned to the building with my completed papers, I did mention that I would rather have stayed in the air conditioned building, this same tall slender man worried about my Yelp review told me that, "You can sit in the lobby if you want." He took a chair off of the stacked chairs and allowed me to sit down. Prior to this, no one offered me a chair even though I have a broken bone in my left foot. My foot hurts me to stand up can while I can stand, I don't want to if I can avoid it. I assume that asking me to complete papers in my car had something to do with Corona virus concerns. Comments on that next as no one working at this clinic appeared concerned with the Corona virus. Almost no one in the lobby or clinic was wearing a facemask. I am a retired nurse and I have my MSN and nursing license in good standing. I am also not usually a complainer, but sometimes one must speak up. Masks are worn not only to protect the person wearing the mask. They are also worn to protect those that come into contact with the public. The girl that took me to the back of the clinic was one of the few that did wear a mask. I asked her why she was one of the few that had a mask on and she replied, "When the personnel begin seeing patients, they will also wear masks." I was in the building for about an hour and maybe 80 % of the personnel did not wear a mask. Her words were untrue per my observation. I agreed to meet with a Physician's Assistant for my care. While I would agree that he was knowledgeable, I did not feel like he cared about me in the slightest. I felt like a cog that he was forced to see as part of his workday. I attempted to tell this PA how important it was to me that I remain active, and I felt that this was not interesting to him. I feel that I would have been better off to simply keep my mouth shut because this PA had made up his mind about me before I had arrived. While he didn't disagree with my approach to life, I felt like I was boring him with my words. I see no reason to return for this man's treatment. He can simply mail me a care plan and I will read what he recommends. He had zero personality. At the check in/check out desk, I felt that the girl working there either did not know what she was doing, did not care about what she was doing, or was over worked or under staffed. She made me stand there while she was fooling around with a copy machine without regard to how my foot felt and without regard for how long I had to wait before leaving. I did not like this. I told her that if she didn't hurry up to get me out of their clinic that I would then write a Yelp review. At this point, she did hurry up a bit and allowed me to exit. read more

My first visit with WCMIorhto was amazing... It started with walking thru the front door.. I was greeted by the front desk staff who NOT engaged in idol personal chit chat .... I was greeted with a smile and a Good Morning... politely asked me to have a seat and fill out my new patient paperwork.. the office setting was very relaxing... while filling out my paperwork I was able to witness that EVERYONE entering the office was greeted with the same kindness and professionalism as myself... The wait time was minimal.. the office ran very close to schedule.... I was taken back to the exam room by Sabrina the MA... she was friendly and very professional and knowledgeable .. She made me to feel very relaxed as we went over the reason for my visit... after that I was seen by the Dr... In detail he went over my radiology films and explained everything in I way I was able to understand.. Together we discussed options to relieve my pain... I chose an injection that was done that same day.... The Dr calmly talked me thru everything he was doing and what to anticipate... He guided me thru the entire procedure and it was wonderful.... I fractured my elbow after falling due to fainting. I was hospitalized and there I met Bryan Moynihan. I received excellent care from him. After release, I was given an appointment at the Brooksville Office. I cannot emphasize what a wonderful experience it was to be treated by such an excellent doctor. The office staff couldn't get any better. I hope you never need an Orthopedic Doctor in your lifetime, but please rest assured that, if you do, you could never do any better than using this medical group. read more

I would say if you need real professional help from an Orthopedic, DON'T, I repeat DON'T go to this place. While I must admit the doctor that saw my disabled sister was plenty nice in personality, but did nothing in terms of Orthopedic service, and after writing the clinic and allowing them an opportunity to address the issue, they did nothing again. Took my sister in and told them two different Physical Therapists suggested her problem was her ankle/foot, hip, or knee, they decided to only x-ray her ankle, and then write the wrong script for a brace that was inappropriate. I contact them for medical notes a year later and see they have them all wrong. First off they called me her mother when I'm the sister, and then they said she was complaining of pain in her ankle which she has never done. Instead of them doing their job by evaluating her hip, knee, and ankle to determine exactly where the problem is, they go by the last thing I relayed a PT told me. I told them I was bringing her to an Orthopedic so they could evaluate her for themselves. They had no interest in doing or rectifying anything. My sister is disabled and that may be why they did not do a proper job. The place is pretty busy and seems more like a meat market with all the in and out patients. I don't think my sister was a candidate to run up a huge bill so they didn't do anything. After all this, I had a hard time getting them to send her medical notes. read more
