I'd booked with a different company, who texted at the last minute that they weren't going to be there on time. Not getting a new time, I reached out again to those who had responded. Metro had originally stated that they could come out on Friday. I didn't want to wait that long, so I got on their list to see if they'd make it out on Thursday. I was contacted a short time later that someone would be out between noon and 4. Relieved, I got back to work. It was close to 3 when the nice young man arrived. I let him in and ge went right to work. Less than 30 minutes later, he'd cleaned out and tightened everything that caused the issue. The cost was $120. This was a quick, inexpensive repair with very friendly service. I've already given their name to a friend who's having plumbing issues at his home. Thanks Metro! I know who to call when the need arises again.

The team at Metro Heating and Cooling was able to bring someone over to diagnose the issue, then bring a team over and complete the install of a new furnace within one day, working until after 7 pm because they said they were not going to leave us without heat for a night. We are extremely grateful to their team and will definitely be going back to them for any future work we need!

Both techs completed the work in about 45 minutes and though it was more than I expected to pay, the work was completed and now I'm happy that it's done.

Based on what I personally witnessed regarding Vector Services and how the company operates behind…read morethe scenes, I would strongly encourage both customers and anyone considering working with this company to do their research and ask questions. One of the biggest concerns is the amount of employee turnover. There have been numerous office employees, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and warehouse employees who have come and gone. More recently, multiple HVAC technicians and plumbers have left, along with warehouse staff, including a warehouse replacement who reportedly lasted only about a month. When employees continuously leave across multiple departments, that's a pattern worth paying attention to. There also appeared to be serious issues with training and communication. People were expected to take on additional responsibilities, positions and expectations changed frequently, and employees could then be made to feel like they "weren't good enough" despite not being properly trained. PTO, compensation, responsibilities, and positions also changed with what appeared to be very little communication. Raises and promises were discussed with employees and then frequently seemed to go nowhere. The favoritism within management was also extremely noticeable. The company promotes a "family" environment, but what I witnessed looked very different. Certain family members and a small group of favored employees appeared to receive significantly different treatment while other hardworking employees were expected to continually do more. There always seemed to be money available for management conferences, out-of-state trips, dinners, and bar outings, while plumbers, HVAC technicians, warehouse staff, and office employees could struggle to get better compensation despite the amount of work expected from them. One longtime warehouse employee in particular appeared extremely underpaid and undervalued considering the amount of responsibility placed on him. I also personally witnessed comments and behavior that I found racist, rude, and inconsistent with the inclusive image Vector presents publicly, including its advertised support of the LGBTQ+ community. What is advertised publicly did not always seem to match what I witnessed behind closed doors. Customers and property-management companies should also pay close attention. I personally witnessed billing and business practices involving customers and property-management companies such as SMS, Lessen, Brinco, and others that raised serious concerns for me. There were things I saw being handled behind the scenes that I personally would want to know about if I were the person or company paying the bill. I am intentionally not posting screenshots, internal records, customer information, or identifying details publicly. However, documentation exists regarding some of the things I witnessed. I'm also not going to publicly label anything as fraud, theft, or make accusations beyond what I can personally speak to. What I can say is that based on what I witnessed, I would personally be extremely cautious about giving this company my business or trusting them with a large amount of money. If you're considering hiring Vector, read your estimates and invoices carefully, keep copies of everything, understand exactly what you're being charged for, and question anything that doesn't make sense. If you're considering working with them, get everything regarding pay, PTO, raises, responsibilities, and other promises in writing. Between the constant turnover, poor training, lack of communication, favoritism, changing policies, and the business and billing practices I personally witnessed, there are simply too many red flags for me to recommend this company. Do your research, keep your documentation, and pay attention to what you're signing and paying for.

They said because of the age (2004), its not worth it to fix it and we would have to replace it. I called Austin for a second opinion. He looked at the A/C and said itz a small leak (pound and 1/2 down), but that he could add refrigerant and it would buy us some time; at least through the remainder of this year. Im so happy I called Austin as he is saving me some money right now and he was honest with me. I feel like the other technician didn't even give this as a solution; they just want me to buy a new A/C now. We really appreciate Austin's honesty with us. We know it needs to be replaced in the near future, but Austin didn't push selling a new A/C right now. I appreciate an honest and hard working person. You won't go wrong with A&F Heating and Air.

Between then and now, I was able to find another company that was able to come out same day and resolve my issue. I tried calling around 0700 to cancel, and left a voicemail. Despite that, the technician still showed up around 1000. When I explained to Tye that I had attempted to cancel earlier that morning, he responded with "we're done here" in a rude tone and stormed out of my home, slamming both my front door and storm door. I understand that cancellations can be frustrating, but I made a good-faith effort to notify the company well in advance. Acting disrespectfully inside a customer's home is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the business. Based on this interaction alone, I would not feel comfortable working with this company in the future.
