Summit Grill is a place to unwind and enjoy amazing food. Previously in the past I have felt iffy about ordering chicken tenders as an adult, but this place makes you feel accepted for ordering this as an entrée. Not to mention how good they are. These were by far some of the best chicken tenders I have ever eaten. The tenders were crunchy, juicy and had amazing flavor. The shoestring fries paired perfectly with the tenders and satisfied my hungriness. I decided to go with the Summit Punch as my drink of choice for the evening and was pleasantly surprised ! The flavors were very unique yet delicious with light fruity flavors complimenting the drink. The area was very clean and unkept and made for a great experience! Definitely would recommend and I look forward to trying out more of the menu soon! read more

I have been wanting to try out this restaurant for a few months because it looked so cute and the food looked yummy and of a good variety. We were sat down around 830 by a host and greeted. The waiter let us know about the half off bottles which i just had to order! but i very specifically told him I would be taking most of it home.. when he asked about our food order I told him we liked to order 1-2 things at a time and we could EAT so you would assume he would check on us often or tell us that the kitchen closed an hour before the restaurant did.. but no ): he "forgot" to mention that to us and so we only got 3 of the 5-6 items we wanted to try and I didn't have a fork for half the dishes because it was taken and never replaced. I'm a bartender and I will always tip the 20% but it just sucks when you wanna try a restaurant and get lazy service. Probably won't be going back which sucks cause the food was good and the half off bottles were a nice touch for a Monday night. I also had to flag him down for a wine bag after he dropped our check which was weird since he knew I had a whole bottle to take home. Anticipating the customers needs will get you very far in the service industry no hate to the server, he was very sweet just lacked in the hospitality and service. read more

Heading past the Gladstone, area needing a quick stop before a kids timed pickup, up this pops on Yelp. Took me a second to realize where this was on North Oak, definitely wasn't here the last time I was over in this area. Happy stepping into the entrance, felt like a swanky hotel or a union station. Felt a little underdressed since we'd been out and about all day in the heat, but was happy to see various dress on other diners. We had booked a reservation using Yelp and was seated immediately after checking in. Had the sweetest, most down to earth, waitress named, Harley, who helped steer us in the right direction. She did an amazing job and I almost felt guilty our bill wasn't higher, so we could justify an even better tip. I had the Nashville Chicken sandwich, which was good. A tiny bit on the greasy side, but I used the bread as a sponge and threw it to the side. I also stole my husband's coleslaw to top my chicken and that did the trick! Yummy heat with a nice, fresh crunch. (Just saying, maybe the Chef should consider the addition) ;) Hubs ordered the chicken finger basket. Great portions and the fries are super tasty. I've been here a number of times. It's one of the limited 'nicer' non-chain restaurants in the northland so I'd love to see it thrive. But I had two back to back mediocre experiences here in the last month. First was with some girl friends. I had a reservation for 4 but two of us walked in at the same time. I checked in with server who was frazzled.. another customer who had been seemingly waiting a very long time for a seat was very frustrated and letting the staff know. Another server came to greet me and asked me to follow them to our table. He points at a table for two. But my reservation was for 4.. and the other two guests had just arrived. He looked lost. Didn't know what to do. We just stood there in the middle of the dining room as diners watched. We were finally relocated, ordered our meals, then later told they were out of two of the 4 items our table ordered. I got the prime rib sandwich, my favorite but we were short a silverware/napkin. I told my friends to eat while I looked for our server. A solid 5 mins went by and she walked right past us. I waved my hand and asked if she could bring me a roll up. She said she'd be right back. Another 5 mins go by and I haven't received. I decided to get up and go to the host table myself. The hosts are stunned when I ask for silverware and a napkin because they are completely out!! Wtf?! Needless to say it was a very frustrating experience when you are paying for service. Second visit was this evening.. the restaurant isn't very busy upon arrival and host walls us to our table. I immediately see the table is disgusting. It has not been wiped down at all from previous diners. Chunks of cheese, food particles, puddles of water from cup condensation. It was very gross. Host set the paper menus on top of all of it and walked away. I had to go back to the host stand and ask someone to wipe it down. As he's doing so I looked around and saw at least 6-7 other tables that had not been cleared/cleaned. There is nothing less appetizing than other people's dirty dinner mess. Host half-assed wiped the table and asked me 'is that good?' No, it's not. There's still food on it! I understand good staff is hard to come by but our server seemed stoned. Wouldn't even look up at us and I'm pretty sure his eyes were closed. It was very awkward. Dinner was decent until there was a hair stuck to the wire basket holding my fries. At this point I'm done and ready to leave. They really need to revamp the staff here. The atmosphere and prices do not match the service in my opinion. read more

Summit is good. Like, really good. I've come for lunch and dinner numerous times and it never seems to disappoint. A few of my favorites are the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (watch it though, it can be spicy!!), the chicken fried steak (with extra gravy) and for lunch, the Asian chicken salad. The service has always been good, but we mostly sit at the bar. The beer is cold. People are friendly and the food is fresh. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot. Worst part about this place is that it's busy sometimes and parking is hit or miss. Food is delish though! read more

This is my 2nd time to Summit Grill, but first at this location. My experience was just as good as the first time. I guess a theme of my reviews is I always forget to take a picture, sorry - but take my word everything looked great. Parking was a bit wonky at this location, but not a huge issue. I went with a group of about 12 colleagues. Table setup was a good size and not squished together like a lot of places do. Our server was phenomenal. He was very friendly and attentive, even with a large table. Food wise everyone loved literally everything they had. Drinks, sides or mains. I have the lobster stuff salmon and it was perfectly cooked with amazing flavor. A few had the prime rib dip - it looked freakin awesome, as well the burger. So I came here and wanted to try their Pork Chop Dinner and Service was great and I love the ambiance of this restaurant but I couldn't enjoy the pork chop dinner, I took a bite and it was extremely over brined and super salty I couldn't enjoy it with the savory sides either. Y'all. I love a good salad. Is it just me or is a really great salad that is worth $10-$15 clams hard to find? Enter Summit Grill. This salad probably isn't especially healthy but it's fun and loaded with flavor. It's the sort of salad that people see and wish they'd ordered a salad, even people that don't eat salads. Not playing. I'm not going to get all drippy about it, just try it, hand to Jesus my favorite green patch in a bowl up north. Hubs sees a prime rib dip and he's all in, every time no matter where we go and honestly, I'm always underwhelmed. I mean you've tasted one you've tasted them all, right? Wrong. I will never dog the dip again, not here. Lucious, soft, juicy ask for a second bite sorta sammy, this really lives up to the hype. The horseradish cream tasted so good it hurt a little that I didn't order this myself. My son got the pot roast nachos and my daughter got the seafood Mac n' cheese and they seemed happy but I was too busy giving all the cares about my own dish. In closing, Summit Grill is a stellar addition to Gladstone, and really the Northland in general. It was brunch I felt like sending a thank you note for, I hope this review will suffice. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is service wasn't the usual top notch that we've come to expect - a bit slow and inattentive, BUT they were busy, and I would guess shorthanded. Second, change the website hours. On their website, as well as Yelp, it says they're open until 10pm on Sunday. We get there at 9:15, only to find a piece of paper on the front entrance stating that the kitchen closes an hour earlier. How does that help the customer?
