The instructors (Ryan and Cory) were welcoming to this newcomer and every day is different, so it was easy to jump in despite not being a regular. Each class involved multiple rounds of exercises targeting different body parts of the body utilizing free weights, body weight, other equipment like jump ropes and steps, and lots of cardio. It's not easy, but the classes really fly by! The instructors were motivating throughout and blasted music to keep up the energy. I went early in the morning and street parking was easy to find outside. They have some cubbies to put your stuff, as well as a water fountain, but don't expect too many other amenities like towels or showers.

So here's what up: 45-60 minute HARD AF full body workouts. They have lots of class offerings throughout the day, and you never quite know what you're gonna get. It's a mix of lifting/body weight/HIIT that'll leave you tired and sore and full of endorphins. They have a great, small group of dedicated teachers who are super motivating--I've taken classes from Cory, Jillian, Ryan, Brooke, and Scott and loved them all. I come here about three times a week now and always leave exhausted (in a good way!). As I mentioned, I was giving ClassPass a try but am now a member at Pearl Street. They have an awesome $99 unlimited class deal if you're able to make midday weekday classes, plus some other pricing and drop in options. By far my favorite workout in Denver!!

Both of the trainers I had during the various classes that I tried out were great! If you are new to this gym, you may find it a bit overwhelming that the instructors don't always make a point of showing you proper technique for a movement. There are a lot of different ex cerise's that they use at this gym. If you put your hand up or call the instructor over, they will gladly show you what's up and how to do the movements. If you attend a class on the weekends be prepared for it to be packed! I went on a Sunday and found the stretching session to be pretty uncomfortable because there was what seemed to be about 20 people in there. They sometimes have you do a bunch of sit-ups and other ground exercises on their standard rubber floor and it is a bit uncomfortable on the back and the spine. I definitely wish they had a different kind of flooring or that they put out the square foam mats on days where we had to do a lot of floor work.

I went a chiropractor, yoga for flexability, massage therapy, I even saw worked with a personal trainer at a local gym, and while all this was great, I couldn't stay motivated and nothing seemed to help my back. Then I met David, and in about a month I was hooked. We've built up the strength in my lower back and I haven't had to see a doc in six months! More importantly, we've strengthened my whole frame, improved my cardio and diet, and opened my eyes to the possibilities of living healthy. I feel healthy, energetic, positive, strong, and have never looked so good in my life! And in only six months! This man, and his "can do" way of life, has changed me from a couch potato, to an active participant in life. I would just recommend that new people take it easy for the first classes and maybe take more of the strength days (Monday/Tuesday) and weekends. With strength classes, it would be easier to go easy. I echo other people when I say this is a type of group fitness class I can get behind. I have tried Orangetheory and several other group training gyms but usually quite after a few months. Fitwall changes up the workouts every 3 weeks and every day of the week is different. I personally love Monday- Wednesday's as they are more strength based and I like being challenged and encouraged by the coaches to up the weights when capable from week 1 to week 3 of that workout. Speaking of the coaches they are great. I have taken classes with all and all our encouraging and pump you up to keep going. I can't hold myself very accountable without a coach and others in the room doing the workout too, so this place is great for that. If my neighbor is gonna run up and down the wall targeting I guess I'll do it too! During this Covid time Fitwall has been great with online videos, park outside workouts and inside workouts. Yes we currently have to wear masks inside but it just ups the challenge! The coaches and staff have been keeping the gym extra clean and only letting 9 people in and they clean everything between classes and have these solid (while a little goofy your first day) curtains up between stations. Check the pics of inside currently. I've certainly toned up in the last few months and looking forward to more!

The support of the other members is also very good. I did get a good workout and the early times for the classes was great. I am basing my review on the safety. When the classes are small and the instructors can see all the members and focus on safety things work well. During Groupon times and other incentives the classes at times get overcrowded with new people who do not know what they are doing and this makes or an unsafe environment. I was hurt by another member who was not properly trained. I did see this happen other occasions with other members. I no longer go to the gym as I do not feel it is a safe place for me to workout. I am also basing this review on the financial policy of the owner. I would recommend paying as you go for workouts and memberships. If anything happens for any reason you will NOT get a refund. I paid for an entire year. When I was injured by the other member I was told that under no circumstances will I be given a refund. I am now in seven months of rehab and may have to have surgery. If everything works out and you do not happen to have a problem, this can be a great workout. But pay as you go to protect yourself.
