I did an initial consult here for both an annual skin exam as well as to have some pigmentation on my face evaluated. The office is newly updated with a beautiful reception room and lots of current equipment. It was easy to get an appointment scheduled and they were willing to bill my insurance for annual exam. The front office staff was welcoming and I filled out the new paperwork and probably only waited 10 minutes or so before I was taken back to the exam operatory. The operatories are also new with a clean white interior design that give it both a modern look as well as the feel of sterility you want in a physician's office. Dr. Kim was very professional and answered my questions. For the pigmentation she recommended a laser procedure but acknowledged its shortcomings that the pigmentation would likely return due to sun exposure and my genetics. I appreciated her discussing the likelihood of recurrence considering the laser treatment was costly. They have a lot of skin products that were pushed towards the end of the appointment which I wasn't a fan of. Other than that, I felt the office did a good job of reviewing my options and everyone was pleasant and professional. read more

I called ahead to be sure Dr. Kim was familiar with Sculpra. Even though I was assured that she had done many applications, I should have known better when she was mixing it as I was led to the room. I knew at the very least it should be mixed at the least 2 days in advance. I continued to have the treatments. The only change was that I ended up with several visible nodules that are still visible 30 months later. Stupidly trusting, I paid over $10,000 to have other, often painful, usless procedures performed. Dr. Kim has a sweet personality but she is inexperienced. As a further note. I had Sculptra injected years back, by a physician in Philadelphia, with amazing results! Do not waste your money here! read more

Dr Kim urged me to take a break after three intense tattoo removal sessions and said that I would continue to see the tattoo fade. I wasn't sure how that would work but she was so right. The tattoo will likely need more time and work but I am seeing significant changes. The pink and purple are so hard to remove and the tattoo was saturated with those colors (it was a cover up so it was basically a blob of colors). I am planning on three more sessions - hopefully it will continue to make great progress read more

I thought the place I had left for this job was toxic... if I had only known then what I do now... If you have children, you may as well forget this place. There is no genuine understanding for being a parent as you will be the only person in the building with a child. Especially if you are military and have to be a single parent when your spouse is gone. Which is sad considering the provider is a veteran. Also, don't ever get seriously injured outside of work (ie. corneal abrasions), because you can bet 100% that although you provide doctors notes and updates you will be wrongfully terminated but be met with an email stating "it just didn't work out" instead. Apparently, you don't need your vision while working with lasers daily.... Compensation is fair, however, don't expect any adequate training. You'll have a week to know everything about aesthetic dermatology then be thrown to THE wolf. Think you'll just ask questions? Hard no, expect to be treated like you're inadequate by your provider. Did I mention her staff is absolutely terrified of her? As in, when she walks through the door, you have to get out of her way and you're not allowed to speak to her directly or gain any type of rapport. The way she treats her staff and speaks down on her patients behind closed doors is so disheartening especially when people just want to achieve their ideal goals and feel good about themselves. I loved learning what I could, but this place has hands down been the worst practice I have ever worked for in my years of experience. The lack of HR is screaming in this place. Absolutely the worst experience. Wait two months for my appointment thinking this was a "dermatologist office". This is not a dermatologist office it's a plastic surgery knock off clinic looking to make money and not actually have compassion and help people. I waited over an hour to be seen for less than two minutes. Was barely examined. Was then told the $90 consult fee would not cover my products she said I needed. When I scheduled my appointment they said the $90 consult fee would go towards my products at the appointment. They charged me for both. Worst service I have ever experienced. They also don't take insurance. Very sad that people choose to run businesses this way. read more

I had a very bad experience. Dr. Kim's assistant was very rude from the start. Then Kim diagnosed me with something I never had. She said my white spots were acne scars, which I never had acne like that. I didn't go there to get a diagnosis. I went there to get advice on what to do with the spider veins, lotions, and the white spots. The real diagnosis was done by my dermatologist before this appointment and I even read the diagnosis to Kim. Then the rude assistant said the $90 I paid to book the appointment could not be applied for my treatment. When I called to make the appointment a while back, they said the $90 was going to be applied on the treatment. These people said, my treatment was not cosmetic but medical????? It is cosmetic!!!! Anyway, DO NOT go to this place! Do research and visit another dermatologist for COSMETIC treatment. They just want your money. I hope they enjoy the $90 they just stole from me. I first came to Summit dermatology to be treated by Dr. Jessica Kim expecting a professional experience but that was far from what I experienced. They will definitely try to upsell you and rip you off with no results. When I brought my concerns up to Dr. Kim she disregarded me and stormed out of the clinical room. I have never in my entire life have a doctor treat me with such lack of respect. I paid a lot of money for a lip enhancement and was left with disappointing/no results. If you're looking for a highly professional clinic this is not the place to go to!! I have been a Summit Dermatology patient for three years. I have had IPL on my face and chest and Dysport a handful of times. I am 46 and stay mostly out of the sun. But due to an unfortunate accident I had massive red veins on my face. Dr. Kim was kind and professional and made me laugh through all of my appointments. My skin is aging as well as can be expected from the sun damage of the 80's and 90's and Dr. Kim has a gentle approach that has reversed some of the damage. If you want to waste your money, go here. Beautiful facility, but that is where it ends. I spent $3000 for the same procedures I usually have done elsewhere, for less than half of what I was charged by Dr. Kim's bunch; I went to Summit because I could get in much sooner than my regular dermatology office. There were, ABSOLUTLEY, no positive changes to my face after filler and botox injections. Yes, you read it right, no changes, even with the botox. How can a botox injection be screwed up????? Now I know why it was much easier to get in to Dr. Kim's. When Dr. Kim was giving the injections, I thought, hmmmm, that doesn't seem "right", and sure enough, no positive results at all. Just extra drag on my skin from useless injections. And, yes, at the 2-week return visit, I let the doc and staff know that I thought they did a lousy, expensive, job and I would not be returning. read more

She scheduled a two week follow up, which is great. At my former dermatologist's office, I would have to call if I wanted a follow up, and wait a great length of time to get in. Had my first appointment today, $50 consulting fee that is credited to your bill if you have a procedure. I have some sun damage, normal wrinkles and concerns. We discussed skin maintenance and procedures plus of course fees. Very professional, clean and quick. I was able to have my first procedure on the spot and was in and out in one hour. I had my first appointment with Dr.Kim four days ago. The office is very modern and clean. Her staff was super friendly, professional, and they all had beautiful skin. Based on the reviews here, I decided to schedule an appt. with Dr. Kim to finally combat some skin issues I have been dealing with for the last few years. Unfortunately, I cannot say I had the same experience as others here. Office staff was awesome, office is absolutely beautiful, products are very nice, but on my first appt., I waited over 45 mins past my appt. time, then I spent about 30 mins doing intake with a nurse. Dr. Kim literally spent less than 5 minutes with me, was rushed, would not listen to me about my history (I had to repeat myself multiple times), and did little to actually acknowledge my concerns. I felt undervalued as a patient and a human.The staff provided an excuse of being understaffed, but honestly, it seemed like since I wasnt initally there for cosmetic procedures, I wasnt worth her time (even though, if she had actually looked at my chart, I showed interest in possible cosmetic procedures even that day). I was cash paying and walked out of there $90 lighter for just the 5 mins I spent with her. I did buy products, because they were well priced, but I wont be returning to her for a follow-up. read more
