Dr Kim urged me to take a break after three intense tattoo removal sessions and said that I would continue to see the tattoo fade. I wasn't sure how that would work but she was so right. The tattoo will likely need more time and work but I am seeing significant changes. The pink and purple are so hard to remove and the tattoo was saturated with those colors (it was a cover up so it was basically a blob of colors). I am planning on three more sessions - hopefully it will continue to make great progress

Only drawback, if you're using an FSA or HSA, they do not provide a receipt with the correct info to get reimbursed. That should be an easy fix, and one most practices already have in place.

I have an extensive history of melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, recurrent cysts, psoriasis, and rosacea. My longtime dermatologist in another state sent my records more than once, but I was told they had not been reviewed. Because of my skin cancer history, I expected a thorough skin examination that did not happen. After returning to my longtime dermatologist, three areas I was concerned about were removed and one diagnosed as skin cancer. I also explained that I had previously experienced a severe reaction to a topical chemotherapy cream. A compounded version was still prescribed, but my longtime dermatologist advised me not to use it and continued my blue light treatments instead. The biggest frustration was communication. Calls repeatedly went to voicemail, return calls often came much later, and the cycle continued for weeks. My patient portal and online scheduling also stopped working, and multiple reset attempts were unsuccessful. To add to my frustration, I recently received a confusing bill that I have been unable to discuss because the billing department also goes to voicemail. I genuinely hoped to establish dermatology care closer to home. However, with my history of melanoma and multiple other skin cancers, communication, continuity of care, and confidence in my provider are essential. Although it requires a 3 1/2-hour drive each way every three months, I chose to return to the dermatology team in Oregon that has successfully managed my care for many years.

The care I received from her was fine, if it were just about that I'd give 4-5 stars. But the reason for 3 stars... both of my appointments (initial removal, then coming back to get stitches out) were scheduled before 9am. I have an extremely busy schedule between balancing work and mom-life demands and I rarely take time for myself because it's such a hassle. I generally book appointments as early in the day as possible thinking I'm more likely to get in on time. Not here. They ask you to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment and I wasn't even called back until 45-60 minutes AFTER my appointment time. Not just once, but both times. No acknowledgment of the delay either. It just felt really disrespectful and inconsiderate, it may not be a big deal for some people, but for a busy working mom like me, I'll find a different dermatology office in the future.

I wasn't expecting much, especially since my dermatologist had told me that I was "already receiving the best skin care treatments" at her office. Wendy definitely proved her wrong. Right from the start, Wendy truly listened to my struggles with acne and she was very caring and empathic toward my situation since she has had her own skin battles in the past. She educated me on how to treat my acne problem with simple lifestyle and dietary changes. She also offered me personalized skin products that, although not cheap, are definitely affordable and less expensive than anything else I had received from dermatologists prescriptions. Within just a couple months, my skin was better than it had been since elementary school and it has only improved in the past two years with her products. Now, I barely break out and my skin has never been healthier. However, I cannot give this business 5 stars despite my incredible skin transformation. A little over a year ago, Wendy decided to hand off her older patients to a new esthetician so that she could accept more new clients. While her other estheticians are also highly trained and professional, I do not receive the same education and expertise as I did from Wendy. I would still recommend this place to anyone with stubborn acne troubles, but just be warned--if you make the decision to come here, you will be handed off as soon as your initial treatments are done and you no longer will be allowed to schedule an appointment with Wendy.
