The teller Nancy seemed a bit flustered, initially would not let me cash my check and told me close the account first. I insisted I wanted the cash out and would then close the account with a personal banker. She then asked me for a debit card pin despite the fact I had a check and a drivers license already out because it would be easier for her to look up the account. On principle I don't give out any private information I am not required to. Eventually she gave me the cash, in a disordered fashion, and told me to come back another day to close the account. I said, I'm going to do this today. Five minutes later I am just a former customer. As a former bank teller, I largely think that tellers are unnecessary (ATMs and online access can do pretty much everything) unless they are excellent at their job. This Chase just seemed okay.

Very simple. i made a payment a few weeks ago for the full balance of my account. It was for a big amount and it was drawn from my bank. I made a similar large payment from the same account months ago without any problems. This time, the bank put a block on my card WITHOUT EVEN TELLING ME and the card stopped working without notice, leaving me without my primary form of payment. This means that auto payments on my account were being rejected, damaging my reputation with my creditors. They even kept the BLOCK on my card AFTER THEY RECEIVED MY PAYMENT. When I called the Bank, the representative told me that she couldn't do anything about this because of their "system." A supervisor finally lifted the hold, but the card still did not work. When I called back, I was frustrated and direct. I did not use bad language and I was not rude. She made it personal, and started lecturing me and hung up. A person like this has no business in customer service, especially if they cannot harness their own obvious insecurities. She should be fired. I have had nothing but problems with this institution. The same thing will happen to you.

Insurance- yep not the sexiest thing to talk about but you simply have to have it. I've read in…read moreseveral financial columns, magazines and online that it's smart to review your coverage every once on awhile. I recently received my annual homeowners renewal notice and decided now would be a good time to shop around. Especially since they were increasing my premium- not a huge increase but nonetheless an increase and like everyone I want to be smart with my money. I decided to call an independent agency as they will do all the leg work for you, compare companies and find the best coverage for your situation. I called Philleo Agency Insurance in Brookfield and what a stroke of luck that was! Jenna Starr took my call and listened to what I needed. She asked me many detailed questions about my home and current coverage. Then she asked me to send over my current insurance company's declaration of coverage so that she could do a thorough comparison. After 3 days Jenna called me and was excited to tell Me she found me some great coverage, for BOTH my home and car, much more than I currently had and for less money. She emailed me The paperwork so we could review it. Then a few days later we met in her office and went over all the coverage and numbers. I was amazed at the increase in coverage including a one million dollar umbrella policy and it cost me much less- Than I was currently paying. The company I am now with is A+ rated too. Philleo is a small agency and I like the fact that they actually have an office that I can walk into and talk to my agent. I also like that when I call a human picks up the phone- none of this "press 1 if you want blah blah blah..." sometime I just want to talk to a person! They truly know the meaning of customer service. The personal touch was evident in all our conversations. I certainly hope I will never have to call Jenna with a claim BUT if I do, I know I will be well taken care of. Jenna handled everything even cancelling my current policy. It was a total "No-brainer" MORE Coverage for LESSI money. I am so happy I finally reviewed my current home and auto policies and that I called Philleo Agency Insurance. If you need insurance (and you do!) or if you need to review your current policies ( and you should!) then give Jenna Starr at Philleo Agency Insurance a call. Your wallet will thank you ;)

Very unprofessional. I was told that a COO or President would be contacting me back. That follow up did not happen. Since my original inquiry on the file, the updates have been slow (contact them on Monday and they respond on Wednesday) and the file has still not been sent to USDA..... This is the least sense of urgency of any lending company I have dealt with. Even at crunch time there is no increase in focus on the file. No ownership - lack of communication. Apparent lack of follow up - poor file review - I guess they don't know what the underwriter is going to ask for and it is customary for the file to be sent to underwriting review multiple times - each with a 48 hour review time. I am guessing they do not have their own underwriters and are at the mercy of some 3rd party to do their underwriting. - This is a horrible experience. Have you ever been in a parking lot waiting to back out of your parking stall? Do you know how you feel when a pedestrian is walking behind you and you are stuck. Most pedestrians realize that you are waiting on them so they put a little pep in their step for the appropriate period of time. You really don't mind waiting for those people because there is a shared sense of cooperation. And how do you feel when the people walking behind your car walk slower or take the longest route possible when they see that you are waiting on them? It is frustrating because they clearly know that you are imprisoned in this parking space until they move. You are at their mercy and they clearly do not care about your goals. This is how I feel working with GSF. They know they are holding up multiple closings on a stacked (domino) closing and yet their process has become even slower. I wouldn't use them for any file where you feel like your buyers would want to close on time. I wouldn't let a buyer use them on any house you have listed just to protect your seller from this mess.
