My father-in-law passed away 10 days ago and this bank is now foreclosing on my 80 year old mother-in-law. She has 45 days to find somewhere else to live in the midst of planning a funeral. Yes, the bank has legal cause but I've worked with many financial institutions that treat customers with common sense and compassion - we are not asking them to forgive our debt; we're asking them to consider new terms. These guys are "letter of the law" people. I've received great customer service from CapitalOne and Bank of America. Give them a try...or anyone else...just not this bank.
