When I returned email with further questions and wanting to set up an appointment, I didn't hear anything back. After two weeks of waiting, I called them and spoke with a very inexperienced sounding person on the phone. I made an appointment, she could not tell me the name of the accountant I would be having my appointment with. I had a conflict of schedule and needed to reschedule the appointment, and could get no response, so I canceled the appointment. Still have not received any response asking if I wanted to reschedule. I went with a different company.

In fact, it was super simple. I gathered up all my needed documents, scheduled an appointment, stopped in and talk for about 10 minutes to get the lay of the land. They quickly scan over your documents while your there, and in my case Connie even made a quick phone call to get some clarifying details that was missing on one of the items I took in. Some days later, I pick up my completed taxes. It was super easy, and I trust that they did the work properly, as the results were similar to what I came up with last year. Being a new customer resulted in a 10% discount. Prices are extremely reasonable for all the work they had to do. This was not a 1040-EZ kind of job... I will definitely use them in the future. The resultant tax work comes back in an envelope to keep everything together and ready to file away.

It was our first time using an accountant, so we had no idea what to expect cost and service wise. First, our final preparation fee was twice what we were quoted. We paid $815. Second, the amounts of what we owed/were refunded fluctuated by hundreds multiple times. Even before they sent our taxes to the IRS, the amounts changed. Nervous, we went ahead and let them file our taxes. When we received notification from the IRS that our taxes were filed incorrectly, we contacted them and asked them to help us understand what had happened. In the text exchange they said "Ok I'll bust out the crayons for you". Our questions brought defensiveness, "I'm unsure if you believe us or not that we have both been in this professional field for 5 years not including college", when all we wanted was to understand why my ex's return was so much less and mine was so much more than expected. We used an accountant so our taxes would be filed correctly. If we were going to send them incorrectly and have the IRS correct them, we would have done the taxes ourselves.

All the employees are always very friendly and willing to help you. On today's visit, I went to the branch to fix a little problem I encountered. I have my mortgage through Waterstone Bank, and I hadn't received my escrow check, to pay my property taxes. First, I called Customer Service. They looked up my account, and told me the check was sent out two weeks ago. It must have gotten lost in the mail or something, because I never got it. The Customer Service Rep told me that I could just go into any branch, and they could issue a stop-pay on the old check and issue a replacement. So that's exactly what I did. Easy as pie! They have a small waiting area, with comfy chairs, arranged around a coffee table, a TV on the wall, that's usually got some news channel on, and a station with fresh, hot coffee. So I sat and waited a few minutes while they got everything in order and issued my new check. They brought it over to me; I had to sign one paper for the stop-pay, and I was sent on my way with a handshake and a 'Thank You'.
