She is personable and connects on every level. She along with her pal Bill, stocks this store with so much love and charm. But don't let it fool you. She's a rocker. A punk. An adult contemporary lover. That's the BEST kind of fan. The store grows by leaps and bounds yearly. And her VERY affordable USED selections are unmatched by other records stores. They are all in excellent condition. Nothing she wouldn't own for herself. I have bought and sold many records at the Record Lounge. Always at a fair price. Let me say that again: She BUYS used records at a great price. By the dozens or hundreds. That fact is, I could never spend ENOUGH time there on my visits. If you like them on FB you will see almost daily videos of new arrivals. They are very good at responding to their messages and will welcome you with great service. Even BETTER, she sells stereos. Not the random new stuff but has a great array of SOLID older units restored and cared for by a great friend of hers. It's more than you'd expect from an independent. It sells a wide range of board and tabletop games covering basically the entire gaming spectrum. It also has a number of rooms for game playing, and often hosts gaming sessions and tournaments. There is a calendar at their web page with information on these sorts of events. There are also tables in many areas of the store, and a number of 'store copy' games so you can try them out before you buy (or just stop in to play a few games). If Evolution Games suffers from one problem it may be the fact that it has such a wide range of games limits the amount of space that can be allocated to any single area. The store, while a reasonable size, could be bigger. If you are into gaming, check it out. A good selection and friendly atmosphere.

This "mall" (and it is very much a mall in the strictest definition of the term) is exquisite in its contents, its environment, and its prices. My family moved to Mason about six months ago and I ventured into the Maple Street Mall because I needed furnishings and accessories for our Civil War era built home. I wanted to purchase items that preserved the integrity of our wonderful old house. When I first entered, I was immediately greeted by an extremely friendly woman who was incredibly welcoming. There were so many wonderful choices that I had difficulty selecting just one piece of furniture. I eventually purchased a gorgeous, handcrafted bench and was even able to put it on layaway--a rarity these days. I have been back to Maple Street Mall many times since that first day, and have never been disappointed in what I have found there. The staff remains extremely friendly, helpful, and kind; you can also do some real bargaining, their layaway plan is a dream, and the prices and variety of items remain the best that Mason and the surrounding area has to offer. It is certainly my "go to" place when I need furniture, knick-knacks, or gifts. Several staffers are now friends and have helped to make a stressful relocation much easier. Their semi-annual sales also make reasonably priced merchandise even more accessible. You won't go wrong if you make this little gem in downtown Mason one of your regular stops.

Then, when you go up to pay, each price tag has the individual's store number on it, so they're sure to get the profits from their sale, without having to be there. It is a great setup, and I enjoyed spending well over an hour perusing all the items. As an avid rhino collector, I set my sights to rhino hunting (as i call it) and came out with four gems. My piece de resistance is a tan sitting rhino sculpture for 8 bucks! They prefer you pay with cash or check, to avoid any fees.
