Earth Treks in Golden is my home gym, but I have also been to the ET Englewood (huge walls and tons…read moreof routes), Movement Boulder and Baker locations too. Due to the merger with Planet Granite/El Cap Gyms, membership to one gets you access to all the amazing climbing terrain. The amenities are amazing- lots of smaller practice walls and instruction areas upstairs, along with a fitness room/yoga studio. The cardio/weight room is well-equipped and doesn't seem to get overcrowded. One of the best parts is all the classes you can attend with a membership or day pass- strength yoga, relaxation yoga, meditation, HIIT, Prehab/Rehab for injuries, intervals, personal training, etc. There are also free member clinics on things like whipper therapy, knot tying, and techniques. Paid classes are longer and are totally worth the money and cover everything from technique and movement to leading sport climbing indoors and outdoors, and self-Rescue. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Everyone is willing to share their knowledge. And they do a great job fostering community with things like the Partner Project every Tuesday night where you can go solo and meet new climbing partners, and the Facebook trade a belay page that links up people looking for temporary or permanent clubbing partners. I highly recommend this gym if you're new to climbing or experienced. There are great routes for everyone alike on both lead and top rope. Safety is a huge priority here, and I feel much better climbing without seeing sketchy belay practices going on around me. A wonderful place for families too!

Why did I pay $23 to swim in a freezing cold pool crammed full of unsupervised children?! Literally…read morethe worst experience I've had at ANY rec center (and I've been to pretty much all of them within an hour radius). I brought my daughter to swim and we stayed about 30 min. The only area where she could *actually* swim had a giant fan blowing down from the ceiling...we were both shivering within 10 minutes. The pool area looks massive, but the actual space for a kid to swim is tiny. SO much wasted space. The playground are is great for toddlers, but beyond that it's a huge disappointment. Why is there a huge fan blowing down onto the pool on a cold, rainy day?? The pool water temps were miserably cold which means the hot tubs were overrun with people who were camped out in them. We couldn't even dip a toe in the hot tub because they were 'full'. There were also crowds of completely unsupervised kids everywhere we turned. The whole 'adult supervision for kids under 10' is an absolute JOKE. After being pushed, kicked, shoved, jumped on for 30 minutes, we cut our losses and left. Will absolutely not be back.

I had zero technical climbing experience and Dolan was so knowledgable and patient. He took the time to thoroughly answer ALL of the questions I had (and maybe explain them to me a couple times haha). He was also able to choose some scenic and super fun routes based on my abilities. I felt so safe and prepared during all the climbs as well. Such a fun way to challenge yourself and also learn a ton from the experts (if that's what you're interested in!). Will certainly be back in the winter for some ice climbing!

It was easy to set up a group reservation. With covid there were some restrictions but we worked it out beforehand and it was very easy. They communicated well beforehand with what we would need to bring with us, time we needed to meet and where including a google map link to the location. Our guides were great! they helped all of us get fitted with what we needed and also talked us through what we needed to do and had some standing by us the whole time and helping as needed. Could not say enough positive things about them. The ice wall in lake george area was great. There was 4 different levels of difficulty on the wall. And my group got to try several of the lines. We had the MOST incredible experience and we will definitely be back in teh future with the girl scouts again, probably next year. I am also looking into schedule a event for an outdoors womens group as well. Highly recommend! Front range climbing is super awesome!

It was peaceful, scenic, and a great way to experience the outdoors in a totally different way. The staff was so warm and welcoming--super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. You can tell they genuinely care about your experience and love what they do. We really appreciated the laid-back vibe and aloha spirit even all the way out here in Colorado! The railbikes were easy to use and surprisingly smooth. We pedaled through quiet farmland and open skies--it was beautiful and relaxing. But heads up: if you're going as a couple, it's a bit of a workout! We definitely recommend going with four people if possible to share the pedaling. It makes the whole ride a lot more chill and fun. If you're anywhere near Erie, don't miss this experience. It's perfect for families, friends, or anyone looking for a peaceful adventure off the beaten path. Mahalo to the amazing team--we'll be telling everyone back home about this ride!
