We easily wandered for over three miles. Stroller-friendly even on the dirt portions, since they are well used and fairly flat. Plenty of paved walkways so you can go after a snow. A thing to note - there are a lot of off leash dogs here. While I am a dog person and loved meeting people's fur babies, I understand not everyone would be comfortable. It's not an off leash park but locals seem to be used to doing this, so just be aware there will be curious pooches saying hello.

During the "Summer Season", the outdoor pool will be opened to the Masses. There is a volleyball court, basket ball court, 2 tennis courts that is next to the playground. A Dog Park, Soccer Field or Baseball or Softball Field, several shelters where you can rent for picnics what nots etc etc. 2 Shelters has several BBQ Pits. ALOT of shady trees surround the Playground section of this Park. Ample of seating areas aka benches with tables attached. Ample parking spaces available. All in all a decent park to spend time with families or friends. Both Hubs and I like to go to this park during the Weekends in the Mornings. The recent visit was on Sunday October 27th 2013. Dr. Rox was fantastic. Both my wife and I are teachers, and so we loved how academic the hike was as Dr. Rox would pause and explain the rock cycle, tectonic movement, or the birth of the Rocky Mountains. We were also delighted that our two teenage sons asked a bunch of questions and were obviously engaged in, not only the Geology lesson, but also the local flora and fauna. Dr. Rox answered every question, and, when she didn't know the name of a plant, she pulled out a trusty book and looked it up. She kept things light, but we definitely learned a lot as well. When we reached the end of the hike where the zeolite crystals had grown in the geodes, we climbed all over the rocks finding crystal after crystal. It was certainly an impressive site. We really loved both the scenery and our guide, and I would recommend this hike to anyone with any interested in geology. A big thanks to Dr. Rox for making our hike so fun and educational!

Christine was very patient with all the questions from my 7 year old. We saw elk, moose, and several other animals, Christine was very knowledgeable. There were many stops in varying places. The bus was comfortable with large viewing windows, and Christine had a microphone connected to the bus audio system, so we could all hear. She was very good about repeating questions into the microphone, so we were all looped into the conversation. The only part of the tour that I thought was underwhelming was the stop at Estes Park. I know some people like to look at knick-knacks in tourist towns, but I would have been happy to skip it. It was only an hour.

Rafting::: Had an…read moreabsolute blast with Luke on our half-day gorge extravaganza! ‍ Starting with safety first, Luke quickly realized we were ready for not just a family adventure, but the paddle of a lifetime! From history lessons to hilarious jokes and endless encouragement, Luke felt like just one more member of our crazy family! Even the ride in the van was a hoot, thanks to Josie! He made going over the safety rules checklist fun and easy to remember. Also, Hank, Henry, or was it Harry? Who knows! But the photographer captured all our fun and chaos along the way. This adventure is definitely saved to the top of my list for my next trip out! Zipline::: 1-2-3, ready, zip! Today's afternoon adventure was packed with excitement, featuring hikes with no cactus grabs, Bob's wonderful splits, and Zoe's tree touches, all with a side of zipping through Mongoose Valley! If it weren't for Gabe, we wouldn't have any evidence of our epic adventure! This is a fantastic first-time course, complete with a practice round before you tackle the real deal. And get your bets ready because you'll have the chance to battle it out on the zip line with a person of your choosing. May the odds be ever in your favor! What else can I say but just do it! Take the leap off a wooden stand, soak in the stunning views of the gorge and valley, and enjoy the camaraderie of the zip-on!

Booked tubing for five people ahead of time on a Sunday. Had a blast! They were sold out of tubes…read morewhen we walked up so I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time if you are planning on coming during a summer weekend. The folks were friendly and made the process nice and easy. We booked the tubes along with the shuttle rides. It was worth it to us since they said it was a 2.5 mile walk! Overall, I found the communication from the business to be clear. Nothing took too long and each tubing round took around 45 mins? We had to wait for the shuttle once, but it gave us some time to dry out and the weather wasn't too bad!

Many of us had zero-low prior kayaking experience and helped with everything from getting us fitted for our gear, making sure we can exit our boat if we flipped over, particular strokes, and how to navigate the rapids. They were awesome to work with me and find a guide to take us out anyway. Jason was amazing. He was a patient teacher while I got used to driving an ATV and he was a knowledgeable guide who taught us a lot about the mountains and the area. We did the two hour tour which was the perfect about of time to really go up the mountain. Any shorter and we wouldn't have gotten to see much. Any longer and my hands would have been in too much pain from gripping the throttle. I did end up with a slight blister on my palm that really only hurt in the last 15 min. I recommend that you bring gloves since they don't provide. You can't go wrong with this tour. Lots of fun!
