The tasting flight

A great spot for wine tasting! They have great social distanced options-- couch areas on the front patio and barrels with plenty of space between them in the back that are all shaded. We used our axxess deal to get a 2-for-1 tasting which was a great deal. In order to have the least amount of contact while there they served all our tastings in tiny glasses for us to pour. This was a great way to stay safe and was a fun experience. The wines are all easy to drink and taste delicious. The Theresa Noelle Pinot noir was our favorite with the Grenache Rosé being a close runner up. We'll definitely come back again to enjoy a lovely afternoon with great wine!

Really great wine testing spot in Summerland. The town is adorable and walkable and this spot is perfectly in the middle. The servers are as sweet and bubbly as the Rosé. Great selection and really great pricing. Definitely recommend and will return to.

We have stopped at summerland winery several times on our way up to Santa Barbara or northern California. This time, we joined! Great wine! Relaxing tasting room! Great staff! Malcolm is awesome! He is very knowledgeable and a lot of fun! My rule about wineries - if you like 90% or more of the wines and you're going to buy some, why not join? Of shipments and be able to come and have a free tasting as a member!

Wine tasting for the win!

Such a lovely gem of a winery. We made an appointment and we were lucky enough to get the couches on the front porch. We arrived on time with masks on and our little dog. The wines all tasted out of this world yummy and super affordable. The staff was informative and fun. I loved our visit and we can't wait to come back

This was a great stop on our SB trip. The tasting room is lovely. The new manager, Hayley, did our tasting. She was very pleasant and knowlegeable. We loved several of their wines, including the Chardonnay and a Trio blend. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stop, relax, and enjoy.

A very nice tasting room with a good amount of space compared to most in the Santa Barbara area. I very much enjoyed the tasting and the views to match. I also appreciate their snack selection and cheese platter recommendations.

This is one of my favorite local spots to sit out on their patio and enjoy their wine. It's location is perfectly situated off the highway in "downtown" Summerland so you can poke around in some local shops and then enjoy some wine! I love their Rosé. It is a well balanced, not too sweet and crisp variation, which I like! The service is great as well. They will keep your bottle on ice and come outside to refill your glasses. I also enjoy the local snacks they have too! Yesterday, we had Santa Barbara organic pistachios. This spot is a Sunday funday must-do!!

Summerland Winery This was the first stop on our wine tasting tour in Santa Barbara. It was definitely the most elegant tasting room of all the places we visited in the area. An understated, yet refined boutique offering a nice flight of wines. At the time I was not overly taken with any of the wines to the point I wanted to buy some bottles, but ultimately, I would learn that they offered the best wine of our four stops. It was too bad we did not come here last. An added bonus during our visit was sharing our wine tasting with none other than Mary Kate Olsen. If she is Miss It for you, you will definitely want to hit this one up. 5 stars for Santa Barbara, trust me

My first time here at Summerland Winery, and I absolutely love this winery! The scenery and location is so cute. The staff are very knowledgeable and extremely sweet. I did the wine tasting and took home a few bottles of wine, because "wine" not ! They are also dog friendly and even have treats for your fur baby. I would definitely recommend this to all of you wineO's out there. And will be making a return as soon as I can!

Bob assured me that it wouldn't be a problem and it wasn't! I was super nervous but excited but scared. lol The directions were perfect and Kevin showed up on time with a big grin. Such a nice guide. All the horses were saddled and ready to go on time. I got Skippy, the gentlest horse ever. The ride was so beautiful, I just can't tell you how beautiful. Sarah was another guide and she was just the sweetest most encouraging young woman Ive met in a long time. Most laughable moment when Skippy decided to he needed to catch up with the other horses and took off in a trot! I wasn't expecting it but it made me laugh so hard. He did that the rest of the ride. Can't wait to go again.

I brought a water bottle attached to a lanyard and both of these employees felt the need to judgmentally ask me if I "really needed that water bottle" and "are you sure that won't fall off?" Of course, the water bottle did fall off. When we got back, the man rudely and unnecessarily remarked "I told you it would fall off." I was paired with a terrible horse who did not follow any of my commands, constantly ate the vegetation, pinned his ears at and would try to bite the other horses for no reason, etc. I have some experience riding horses and I was doing my absolute best with this out-of-control horse. In turn, I was continually being barked at by the guides to "pull up on the reins and release, don't let him eat, kick him, go to the back, catch up to the rest of the group, keep him away from the other horses" etc. In addition, we rode through a very busy freeway overpass with multiple onramps/offramps and cars everywhere. We also passed right next to an active railroad. Of course, a train roared past a mere ten feet away from us. The horses spooked and it was a miracle that no one was thrown off. We were not given any prior warning that we would be riding in the middle of these very dangerous environments. If there was a warning in the waiver, I wouldn't have known because we were so rushed to sign it and had no time to read it. We finally made it to the actual beach and spent a mere 20 minutes on the shore before riding back through the danger zones towards home. I spent the entire ride pissed off, disappointed and feeling unsafe.

Edwin and his team at Casa Del Herrero welcomed all of us to this gorgeous estate in the Montecito Hills, many of us for the first time ever on this newly accessible estate. The Casa Del Herrero team was extremely knowledgeable of the estate in the most approachable and accessible way. Everyone was put at ease and felt right at home with this team. The experience was heightened by the excellent local wines brought to us by Julie Cox and Allie Grant of Crush It Wine Education. These ladies are knowledgeable of exceptional wines, brought highlights and detail to each wine and, to my delight, were generous with their pours!! The day could've ended right there, and it would have certainly still have gone down as a magical and enlightening day. But there was more in store for me! Danielle of Danielle Renee Art walked us through a fun collaboration of painting and Santa Barbara wine tasting. Experts and amateur painters alike had plenty of paint, wine and time in this beautiful setting on a typical, warm, sunny Santa Barbara afternoon. I can't wait to come back and enjoy more of this gorgeous estate. I would love to explore the wine cellar, the citrus orchards, and learn more of the history of the cactus garden. I'm sure there are many more secrets for visitors to unlock!

I would definitely come back here to learn about the house and to take the guided tour. This wasn't the purpose for me coming today but the gentleman who works here noted that it's a great tour and I know friends who have enjoyed learning about the family and the history of the house, getting a deeper dive of information. I came here with some friends for their first hosted event Sound Bath. A wellness day if you will. From start to finish everything was very organized and thoughtful. The staff hosting the event and the spiritual wellness guide and sound healer was wonderful. Everyone was nice and you felt welcomed. Not pretentious and just very positive and good vibes. We had a nice group and everyone was respectful and on time for the sound bath so it went off without issue. It was a relaxing experience and the grounds were very nice to hold this outdoor event. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, we found an area with shade, very nice. Very faint sounds of cars in the distance here and there which wasn't ideal but out of their control and once things settled in you really couldn't hear much external noise. After the relaxing sound bath we were offered tea and light pastry snacks. I opted for a water and began exploring the grounds instead of partaking in the refreshments. The grounds are lush and lovely, very zen. Loved the beautiful trees and walkways with small fountains and running water. It was green and pretty all around from the recent rains. Definitely a great location for events and to learn a little SB history. I will definitely do my research and come back again soon.
