When I picked it up, it looked plain and had no graduation decorations--no cap, diploma, or anything that made it look like a graduation cake. Appearance matters, especially when you're paying bakery prices for a special occasion. I honestly would have been better off getting a cake from ShopRite. I haven't tasted it yet, but based on the appearance alone, I won't be ordering from there again.

The service was great! There was a sweet lady at the register and we asked about the various cakes that were in the refrigerated case, to which she replied that she baked them. We chose the lemon and vanilla coconut slices. The coconut cake was covered toasted coconut and the layers contained a pineapple filling. The layers were moist and the cake amazing! The lemon cake was not a slice, but a two layer round with lemon cake and filling topped with a lemon mousse. That was amazing as well. They had an assortment of other cakes, cookies, other pastries and bread items. All in all a great place to stop by for a sweet treat while in Atlantic City.

Everything in the window looks great, and the pastries in the case are very tempting, but a few items really seem like they would benefit from being warmed up before serving. The breakfast sandwiches for sure need to be heated up, because ours were cold and the bread was too doughy since it wasn't even toasted. The sandwiches in general feel like they would be much better with a quick heat or light bake to bring them to the next level. The cinnamon roll definitely needed to be warmed up, especially for the price, and while the cannoli tasted good, it lost some of that crisp shell texture once you bit into it. The ice cream area looks amazing though, and that will definitely be my next try.

The owner of this establishment, Braeden Anderson is the reason for this 1 star review…read more I waited 70 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and a cortadito. This is unacceptable, because of Braeden. I would like to commend our barista Shane, who made excellent food and coffee drinks, despite being backed up as the only barista and working available. He deserves a raise and gold medal. Lamica, a manager, stepped up around 15 mins and made sure that our concerns were addressed. We came the previous day and had a fantastic experience, but the shop was not as busy. From the very beginning, Braeden did not acknowledge our concerns, those of other patrons, and did not even try to apologize for our experience. He said that because he has a 2 year old and his role is not that of a barista, but as an owner. I have been to many coffee shops and any reasonable owner would have apologized for such a situation and tried to make it right, not argue with all the customers in their shop.

I WILL wait for good food. Unfortunately, this was not a good as I hoped. Not in comparison to my all-time favorite little NJ bakery in Bradley Beach. The lamination and flakiness just wasn't there. The croissants were nearly solid. Imo, Ventnor No 7311 was, sadly, a slight step above Paris Baguette. I appreciate that the flavors of their goods were original (like the sour cherry pistachio croissant or the white chocolate rhubarb scone -- this one was actually fantastic!) but it could use some work. Also disappointing was that the person helping me kept throwing everything in little bags. Have some pride in presentation and throw everything in a nice box. AND you'll save the environment by not using all that paper. Heck, if I buy one thing from my all-time favorite little NJ bakery, they box it up & make it all pretty. I had to ask for a box here. Aside from all that, the store is cute. Subway tile. Counter seating. Patio tables.
