Stopped in for a quick bite. I had the chicken shrimp wonton ramen and the chicken Karaage . All were very delicious, The vibe was definitely quiet, ideal for calmer outings. The waitress was friendly and attentive. And my order came out very fast. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for a solid spot to grab some quick but tasty Japanese cuisine. I will definitely come back.

This ramen reminds me of my favorite childhood ramen restaurant in SF called Sapporo-Ya. The noodles are handmade and the perfect texture. Friendly service as well.

The ramen noodles had a good chew and the broth was rich and flavorful. The fish quality for the sashimi dish was very good as well. In terms of portion size to price, the ramen was a great deal. The pork belly slices were super soft and tender. Came in at a sort of dead time in between lunch and dinner but the employees were all very nice. Nice view of the shopping plaza from inside, and I can imagine how it could get a fun lively vibe during more popular times.

Mixed feelings about this place. This place is really just an OK place, just to fill your stomach with something edible and nothing else. None of the dishes ordered were outstanding at all. Black Queen Ramen: I got the black queen ramen which is supposed to be tonkotsu but the broth was liquid thin and not rich and creamy like a real tonkotsu broth. The chasu was soft and fatty which was good. Soba: The soba was very questionable. The dipping sauce didn't taste like food, almost like a cleaning agent or dip soap. Other soba dipping sauces I've had from other restaurants and bottles did not taste like that at all which is why I instantly thought it was off. The staff was nice enough to remake it for us but it the taste did not change. Salmon Tacos: Tacos were good but for 6.50 for 2 tiny pieces, it's only for the novelty. TLDR: Did not taste like a good tonkotsu ramen should. Don't get the soba. Go to another place for real ramen.

I love this place so much! I went here when I was in the area and I wanted to get a simple bowl that was gluten free and vegan. They have quite a few vegan options on their menu, which I was pleased about. The place was super busy when I walked in and I spoke to a nice man at the register and ordered. I got a bowl with white rice as the base, avocado, steamed tofu, sprouts, red onions, peppers and cucumbers. I had some gluten free soy sauce on the side. This bowl was not only filling but simply delicious! I can only speak about the vegan options there but I was very pleased. I have wanted to go back so badly but I do live kind of far away. I will plan a trip back soon!

The food was great! The gyoza was delicious, the bibimbap was bursting with flavor, and the noodles in the red volcano ramen were just perfect. And the interior was super cute!

I was in Princeton just for the night and had a hankering for ramen. Sumi Ramen was less than 10 minutes from my hotel. Since there really isn't any good ramen from whence I came (Rochester, NY), I thought I would give it a try. I had a good feeling walking into the place--I was the only white person in the whole restaurant. All of the tables that were occupied were full of people of Asian descent. I love it when I go into a restaurant that serves Asian food and there is not one other white person in the joint. Do you know what that tells me? The food is legit, authentic, or both. Wanna know what another culture's food tastes like? Eat some at a place where you don't look like anyone else in the restaurant! I had the Black Queen Ramen with a pot of green tea. The tea was very nice. If I had to guess, I would say it was a sencha green tempered with buckwheat and a little matcha mixed in. Very nice flavor with a cloudy an substantive green elixir that centered my senses. The ramen was the best bowl of ramen I've had in about 5 years! The egg was just right (the yolk gelatinous but still a little runny), the tonkotsu broth had a soul nourishing depth (but a tad on the salty side). The slices of pork were moist, flavorful, and tender.... You wouldn't believe how much ramen I've eaten where pork slices are tough as rubber and dry as cardboard. Not here! ... and the ramen! Very often, the noodles themselves get lost. A bowl of ramen isn't called noodles with broth. This meal reminded me that the ramen is the star of the show. The noodles were tender but firm and flavorful. They were some mushy-fall-apart-kinky-Angel-hair I've had too many times at other places. Oh, how I wish I had a second stomach so I could've tried something else! Nice atmosphere, but I can't figure out why the noh figure on the mural was holding a tea pot. The music was modern (American) and didn't fit. The restaurant was clean and the staff tidy. My waitress was very pleasant, attentive (without being overbearing), and efficient. Better than 3-stars, but hardly anyone gets 5-stars from me.

At first I thought that I had uncovered a gem. This place is BYOB so I brought my own wine. There is a liquor store in the same complex so I grabbed my beverage of choice from there before heading to SUMI Ramen. If I were to return to eat at this place (which I will not be doing) I would definitely bring a bottle from home because the neighboring liquor store has significantly inflated prices. This was my first experience at a Ramen eatery and I fully intended to order Ramen, but when I saw all of the options that their menu offers I figured I would try their sushi, Japanese Fried Rice and Chicken Hibachi meals first to gather a baseline on the quality of their food before having my first Ramen experience at a restaurant. I make my own gourmet Ramen at home all the time and it's the bomb; so my Ramen standards are very high. Their sushi was really fresh and legit organic. I didn't have the usual itchy throat that I get after consuming conventional avocado (I am allergic to the pesticides in conventional fruits and veggies). And their pickled ginger was one of the freshest pickled ginger that I had EVER had at a sushi restaurant. And I have eaten at several top sushi restaurants around the country. I was so excited after having such a great sushi experience that I couldn't wait to try the Fried Rice and Hibachi chicken. The fried rice and hibachi chicken were not even edible. It was sooooooo gross. You can see the kitchen from the seating area and I immediately noticed why the sushi was so good and the rest of the food was horrible. There were 3 different chefs in the kitchen. One, the eldest man, was obviously the owner and he definitely has amazing sushi making skills. But the other two guys in the kitchen in charge of making the non-sushi food looked like they did not want to be there. One was eating Ramen while cooking (which was really gross to watch). I was just imagining all of his slurp splashes going all of the food he was preparing. The risk of one of these guys making sushi for customers is enough to warn fellow Yelpers to stay clear of this place. It's not a guarantee that you will get the OG sushi maker and the other guys appear to have absolutely no will to make decent food. The young waitress saw us not eat the food and literally push the plates to the far side of the table in obvious disgust. She asked if there was anything else we would like to order (ignoring the fact that we pushed the plates away and were not eating or even nibbling on the entrees we had already ordered). We told her how awful the fried rice and hibachi chicken were and she just giggled and asked if we wanted to take it with us. I told her it was absolutely inedible and vomit-inducing and she replied with, "So is that a yes or no to wrapping it up to go?" I honestly would have given this place 4 stars for the sushi and just advise people to order only sushi and demand that the elderly man prepare it. But when they still charged us for meals not eaten and the level of gross being so high, that is when they lost my future patronage and earned no more than one star. I am not sure if the two young men were the owner's sons, but their lack of professionalism and their "do not care" attitude would be enough for any sane owner to fire them. Slurping Ramen over food that is being prepared should be considered a fire able offense, especially since we are experiencing a Tripledemic! But the fact that the owner is allowing these two young men to make such awful food, screams the entitlement of children who know they don't really need to perform because their father isn't going to fire them. This place was empty, which is something I often prefer because I know I am getting the best the restaurant is capable of offering because the stress of serving several tables is removed. But the emptiness at this place was obviously because of the food quality and the lack of accountability or effort to satisfy their customers taste buds. Ugh, it was so disappointing.

Ordered takeout from here. We got the Shrimp Bao, Vegan Gyoza, and California Roll. All were goods the bao was crispier than I expected but still good. Will come back to try their ramen next time.

We tried the spicy tuna tacos and takoyaki for appetizers. The tacos were alright, i felt they couldve used another ingredient or sauce or something. The takoyaki were good. However the service wasnt very great and we had to ask for plates to eat our appetizers and waters. For the entree i tried the tokatsu ramen which was pretty good. We ordered and paid using the qr code that was at the table.

This is my favorite ramen restaurant, and there are many delicious sushi rolls. I would recommend it to everyone.

Yes, it's perfectly fine to make those loud slurping noises to show your appreciation for a great bowl of ramen. Here's what was ordered: - Signature Terakawa Ramen - 4.5/5 stars Boasted of rich, lovingly homemade pork bone soup with a good amount of sliced roast pork, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, ginger, scallions, and a jammy egg. The straight thin noodles were al dente. They maintained their texture in the broth, brilliantly. The broth was deep and flavorful. - Pork belly Donburi - 4.5/5 stars The juicy tender pork belly was plentiful, sliced perfectly as their we're not too thick nor paper thin. Their flavor was rich, savory with a balance of sweetness from the soy dashi sauce. Elegantly layered in top of a humongous bowl of seasoned rice, along with a sprinkle of scallions, pickled radishes, and sesame seeds. The photo on their menu does not do it justice. I would have loved a jammy egg to be included to bring the dish to the next level. - Gyoza - 3.5/5 stars 5 pieces of Pan-fried gyoza dumplings with their dumpling sauce. I would prefer them to have been fried a bit more. The balance between their pork and cabbage was even. They were delightfully light in both taste and texture. The service was very good. Both Willie, the owner, and a charming waiter named Sung served us. Sung kept coming over checking in to attest our cups were full, and if we needed anything else. I was told the have two locations: Philadelphia and the one we're dining at, Princeton Junction, NJ. Both locations serve homemade recipes from the Kumamoto region of Japan. Even if there is a wait, we have never waited longer than 30 minutes for a table. The service is very prompt and waiters are very good at checking on you and refilling your drinks, cleaning up your table, or asking you if everything is good. The food is ordered via paper and pencil, you select what you want and provide it to the waiter. They send the order to the kitchen and you receive the food when it comes out. For an AYCE buffet, the fish quality is consistently pretty good at Hiro. They offer Nigiri and Sashimi on the menu, as well as classic and specialty rolls. If I could suggest one thing it'd be adding hand rolls to the menu. The tuna and salmon here are consistently good and the yellowtail was surprisingly good. They have a bunch of different appetizers ranging from edamame, sushi pizza, to tartar, most of them are actually very good. The kitchen entrees are very good as well such as the kimchi fried rice and the Mongolian beef. Although it's not the most spacious inside, the way they set up the booths and tables it gives you enough separation from other tables to not feel super crammed inside. Highly recommended for an AYCE sushi spot in Central NJ!

Upon entertaining on a weekend evening, there were a few tables with patrons but not too busy. The restaurant did seem a bit understaffed with only one person taking orders / bringing food out, making it difficult to flag down this one person to successfully take our order and ask for anything additional throughout the night. Gyudon: for the price, we were really surprised at how small of a portion this was. It was not only in a small bowl, but the meat was layered on top perfectly deceiving you to think that there was more than there actually was. The majority of this dish was rice, and with limited sauce at that. As displayed on the menu images it was to be served with a runny egg, but unfortunately we got a fully cooked one (disappointing, as we were looking for something to mix with the rice!) Sushi: We got a 3 rolls and they were just alright. They were pretty small in size, with less rice than I'm used to (which is something I do like - I would rather more fish than rice!) With us getting spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy scallop - they all kind of tasted the same, so I wish the fish wasn't as heavily masked with spicy mayo. Ramen: I got the black garlic ramen, and it wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst. I've purchased fresh ramen packages in the supermarket before and it tasted just like that, so it made me disappointed knowing I could achieve the same at home. The soup itself was extremely rich and fatty, and the charsiu had no flavor whatsoever leaving much to be desired. The main reason I'm rating this so low is upon having my last bites of sushi, I could tell something was off. I don't recall which specifically I had but I made a statement that it was extremely fishy and off putting. Fast forward later that night, I was hunched over the toilet vomiting with stomach pain - and I can deduct that the sushi was the culprit. I might consider trying Ottoyee again due to the great deals they have listed on food delivery apps, but the sushi quality (quite literally) put a bad taste in my mouth.

The overhead sprinklers in the produce section can sometimes oversaturate the vegetables, so it is worth inspecting those carefully as well. The employees are not particularly chatty, but if you need assistance navigating the store, they are helpful and will point you in the right direction. The aisles are generally well organized and well stocked during the weekdays. On weekends, however, the store is more crowded, and there have been times when specific items I was looking for were either limited or unavailable.
