This is a great spot for a quick to-go shawarma or bowl, pretty much fast food style. All of their seating is outdoors if you are choosing dine-in, there is areas that have a little bit of shade but not optimal. The mint lemonade was the real star. It's an ice- cold slushie with very fresh mint flavor. I am a big iced tea person and chose the Lebanese tea, which I had never had before. It had a florally taste that wasn't quite to my liking, but for those who are more adventurous give it a try. The shawarma wraps were tasty and a decent value at under $10.00. The 10.99 for a crispy chicken shawarma wrap is unbeatable (please don't go up in price!) The amount of food and protein is just insane. The flavor is just unreal. The staff is always great. No complaints. There's a small seating area outside, but most people do takeout. Idk how they do it, but it's been a hit everytime and I'm impressed everytime. I haven't gotten other items on their menu, but I'm sure it's just as good. They've updated their menu again and it seems as though the crispy shawarma wrap is here to stay. The drive thru long was extremely long, so I recommend to go during non-peak hours or order at the front. I stopped by here one evening. The staff was patient while I decided what tor order and attentive when i got to the window. The menu was a tad confusing so it took me a minute to see if what I wanted was something they offered. I got a chicken a schwarma wrap as a meal and it came with fries and a drink. The Lebanese tea was strong and I enjoyed the pine nuts!! The fries were thick and hot. And the wrap was flavorful and warm. My only reason for deducting a star and it's a CAUTION to anyone getting an item wrapped up & cut in half--check the wrapped food for bits of foil/paper. On April 30, 2025, at 6:30 PM, I decided to give Sultan's Shawarma Shack a try since I live just four minutes away and enjoy Lebanese food. This was my first time trying a Lebanese drive-through restaurant, mainly because it supposedly had good ratings. I ordered the Mixed Shawarma Bowl (beef and chicken with rice, salad, and hummus), Feta Cheese Fries, and a Lebanese Iced Tea. The total was $33.65, which felt extremely high compared to sit-down Lebanese restaurants I've been to. Unfortunately, the food was a big disappointment. The Shawarma bowl was poorly put together--both the beef and chicken were dry, the rice was cold, and everything, including the salad and hummus, seemed dumped together without care. The Lebanese tea was no better--two ice cubes in the cup and a taste that didn't come close to the authentic flavor I've had elsewhere. The feta fries were just "okay" at best, nothing memorable. For the price, I could have enjoyed a much better meal at a proper Lebanese restaurant. I got the "spicy schwarma," (a wrap) as a combo with fries and added a cup of nacho cheese and garlic toum. The wrap was very tasty, and very generous portions. The fries were very delicious. My boyfriend got the chicken schwarma bowl, which was very good, light, but super filling, great portions. Definitely skip on the nacho cheese, it's expensive ($2), and it's simply scooped out of a can, same stuff you can get at walmart. Nothing special at all, and it didn't compliment the flavors within the wrap anyway. Was good w the fries though. I'd recommend trying the wrap at least once, but do it when you can split it with someone else, or if you're really hungry on don't plan on keeping left overs. It did not reheat very well, but was really good while fresh. Definitely get the fries. I thought the bowl was delicious, and refreshing. Much lighter than the wrap. The dipping sauces were also very good. This was some of the better mediterranean food I've eaten in nola. But I will say, while eating my wrap as leftovers, there were some bits of cartilage in the chicken which unfortunately put a huge damper on my opinion of this place as a whole though. I am a huge fan of Mediterranean food and this place took me by complete surprise. I ordered the chicken bowl with no feta salad and it was very tasty, the rice was cooked perfectly, the chicken could use a little more seasoning but paired with everything else it really didn't matter. My only complaint would be the supposed "spicy sauce", it quite literally tasted like egg roll sauce and definitely does not belong on a middle eastern bowl, however their garlic sauce definitely hit the spot. You ever have those days where you forget to eat? Well, I was having one of those days and needed something FAST before I started breathing fire from hanger. BUT--I also needed it to be delicious, filling, and not too heavy (I'm a beggar and a chooser, yes). In comes Sultan's Shawarma Shack. I'd never had Sultan's before, but we were in the area and I remembered that one of the influencers I enjoy, MoMunchies, had sung it's praises; they also had a drive thru which was a wonderful bonus. I got the chicken shawarma bowl. It came with yellow rice, chicken, salad with olives and feta, and hummus. I didn't even wait until we were out of the parking lot to dig in and after just one bite I was immediately transported to a happy place. The chicken was flavorful and tender, the rice was perfectly cooked and fluffy, the salad added a lovely crunch and coolness, and the hummus brought it all together. I was so, so good. I was halfway done before I noticed that there was bread and sauce, and I love a condiment and could eat my weight in most breads. The meal came with three sauces--I'm not sure what they are, but one is kind of like a sweet chili, one is a little garlicky, and the other one is creamy and spicy. All very delicious and add a little razzle dazzle to the dish, but truthfully it doesn't need any enhancements. They also have wraps and sandwiches, but the bowl is the one for me. Not many drive thru drive thru Mediterranean Lebanese food options on the Westbank so this is a home run for me! You would think that the drive up wait would be longer than it is but its not bad. I can tell its not all pre made. There is a small wait and that's problem them chopping it up quickly but it is the real deal legit yum yum on Lapalco. The tea is on pernt, the Shwarma plate... the gyro wraps. They have nice meal deals with a canned cold drink and fries. As a matter of fact with all this typing I think thats what Im gonna do for lunch today. It was a Rally's before so it is set up still the same. First off, let me just say I stopped my meal just to write this review because of how GREAT it is. Let's keep it concise. Sultan's Shawarma Shack is a gem! I wish there were more people talking about this place! I've driven past this place so many times, having my curious thoughts like many other wanderers possibly do. But, please, let me put your curious thoughts to rest! Like another reviewer mentioned, it is similar to a Chipotle (for those who are familiar), but Mediterranean-style. But, the restaurant does not stop at only Lebanese-style bowls! There are selections of meats that you can choose to place in a bowl, sub, or wrap. There is also a veggie option for my vegetarians, which is the veggie falafel! There are also unique side items, such as the baklava and feta fries, that I have yet to try, but I am looking forward to trying. I can only speak for the first thing I've tried here, and it is the Gyro bowl. Oh man, the gyro is well-seasoned and flavorful. It literally melted in my mouth. I looked at my boyfriend, who had the gyro wrap, in disbelief. We made eye contact because we both were bathing in the wonderful experience of eating this delicious gyro! The greatness continued. The selection of veggies in my bowl were super fresh, plentiful, and so was the hummus. My yellow rice was hot & fluffy, which also melted in my mouth. Can I just say my mouth was in heaven? Aside from my meal, my bag included a small plastic container of garlic sauce and another with sweet chill sauce. The chili sauce is very similar to Thai sweet chili sauce, but instead this sauce had a unique heat to it, which I enjoyed, so watch out for those who do not like spicy things! Also, the garlic sauce was whipped to perfection. It has a thick, butter-like texture. There was also extra pita bread included that was wrapped into foil, like most other Lebanese places do.
