Anyway a major local tire center told us they couldn't fix the hole but directed us to Main Street Auto. Like a nascar pit crew the mechanic had the nail out and plug in....fingers crossed. You could not ask for more responsive service. Cash is king. Extra Tip for speed!!

I had four snow tires on rims swapped out with four summer tires, also on rims, and they also topped up the tire pressure. The next day, I noticed a warning light for low tire pressure, but didn't think much of it b/c the tire pressure monitors sometimes get fluky after a tire change. A couple of days later, I got a dashboard warning "TIRE NEEDS AIR NOW." When I went to fill the tire in question though, the valve was bent and half broken. So after the holiday weekend, I was able to limp back to the shop with the nearly flat tire, told the supervisor guy what happened and got the valve replaced. Unfortunately, I did not have the receipt for the original work when the valve got broken, so I went back the next day with the receipt. I was stunned when they refused to take responsibility for the cracked valve, although I explained to the guy in charge that they had been the last folks to touch the valve before I discovered that it was broken. He was dismissive, told me I should have brought it back sooner, claimed the tire couldn't possibly have held any air for a week, and insinuated that I had somehow broken the valve, essentially calling me a liar. I'm pissed. As I said, I had been taking my car there for years, BUT THIS IS NO WAY TO RUN AN HONEST BUSINESS. It cost me $124 because they refused to admit their screwup and sought to blame me instead. Anyone want to be next?

Today I'm checking my CC account and there's an additional $151.00 charge - same day, same time. (If I used $190.00 worth of gas there would be no room to fit me and a passenger. Car takes 17 gallons. ) I called the Police, they stopped in spoke to the manager who told the officer (and me) they put that charge - $151.00 on every CC gas charge direct from the pump. Sorry, that can't be legal - how can a company charge for anything they didn't sell - Unless they have a sign notifying customers - there is not one. It's insane. Now I'm carrying an extra $151.00 in case of fraud on the same card that could have been fraudulent. Again, if the 41.48 doesn't go through the $151.00 won't either. Moronic. I will never ever use that Pilot stop again except to use the restroom. I'll buy my snacks, etc... up the road about 1/4 mile at the other area.

My car's inspection sticker expired 19 days ago, so I did a quick check online and found that this was the closest station. While I have probably driven by 100's of times over the years (hint: Route 20 is a great way to go if the Sturbridge exit is backed up - you know, almost all of the time - so you can zip down Route 20 from Auburn or from Sturbridge eastbound and avoid that mess) I honestly don't think I ever noticed it. Pulled in, couldn't figure out where I should park since trucks were all over the place, so like any good Boston driver, I just created a space and went inside. I'm pretty sure everyone there thought I was lost, but I assured them that I really meant to be there and needed my car inspected. A nice guy came outside with me, told me I could go inside with the beloved Goldendoodle, and he drove my car to the shop. While I waited for the car, my dog got to play with a sweet girl whose Dad worked there (the owner, maybe?) and received loads of attention from both her and a few other customers. The love he received is worth 5 stars, but the fact that my car was finished quickly is worthy of an extra 5 stars. I might even drive all the way to Sturbridge next year for another inspection!

After spending hours on the shoulder just shy of the Sturbridge exit, my car was towed to a nearby hotel. I told the tow truck driver how much places in the area wanted to charge to repair my car, and he told me about Edward's. He told me to call there and ask for Rodney. He said that Rodney would take care of me...and that Rodney did! I spoke to Rodney about the problem with my car. He said that he would have to see the car to verify the part that needed to be replaced. I asked him if I could send him a picture of the broken part, and he agreed. So I sent him a picture of the broken part. Once he received it, he told me he would order the part and have it waiting for me. He offered to take me back to the hotel while the car was being repaired. Along with that, he said he would pick me up once the repair was completed. The car was towed to his shop, and he quickly started the repair. During the repair, we talked, and he was very supportive, and understanding. The car was completed at a cost I thought was fair. We then talked briefly, shook hands, and I was on my way. Rodney was an awesome person! I would definitely have my vehicle serviced by Edward's again.

I backed out and completely smashed our passenger mirror. We searched for an auto body and drove right to this place. The guy working was so nice and removed the mirror for us. He gave us advice and even salvaged the top piece which matches my car color. He wouldn't even take a tip for his help. It was so genuinely kind and really eased our stress in a difficult situation.

***AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS*** I'm not kidding!…read more I use Yelp all the time for recommendations, but have not written a review before. I had such a terrible experience with this auto body shop, I felt compelled to warn others to avoid all the time and money wasted here. I got in an accident on the I-90 at the end of October on a Sunday. My car got towed to Sturbridge Service Center. Sturbridge Auto Body was less than an 1/8 mile away so we drove it there to get repaired as I live in NY. I left a note and called back on Monday. The front desk said to call back in 2 hours to get a quick estimate for the repairs since somebody was already looking at the car. Called back 3 hours later, and the person said no one had looked at the car and the person who answered was "just giving me the run around." I should have known then, to get my car the F out of there. Alas, I did not, and the story continues. It took 3 long weeks to repair my car, I was told on Wednesday 11/13 that my car is done, please come to pick it up on Friday 11/15. I took the day off, along with my father to drive up to Massachusetts. We pull up and the owner Mark said my car was NOT READY!!! After a 2 hour car ride, **and a call to let Mark know we were on our way, like HE REQUESTED** and being told it was ready, it was not! He said give me 20 minutes to fix it, we went out to lunch and when we can back nearly 45 mins later, it was still not done. He kept blaming Allstate for this and that, never placing blame on himself, even though he had 3 weeks to repair my car. At this point I was done and wanted my car out of this auto body shop. The owner SWORE to my father and I that my car would be okay to drive to Albany, even though it had an engine and battery light on. I took off on I-90 W. An hour into my trip, the lights on my dashboard start popping up-- brake light, tire pressure, seatbelt, etc. My speedometer then drops to zero when I was accelerating up a hill, and no shoulder. I was terrified to death, but was able to find a large shoulder to pull safely into. I called Mark and told him what happened and he immediately sent out a tow truck to come get me (as he should of). I was towed back to the auto body shop and he gave me a rental car to get to Albany that night. He even admitted he should never have let me into that car knowing the problems with it. I'm just thankful that I was not hurt. I had to drive back that Sunday 11/17 to get my car. All seemed well, until I got in the car, turned on my wipers for the rain and the right one flew off. Mark had already left for a tow, but thankfully another worker of his was able to fix it. My radio was not even reset properly and I had to put in the code myself. When I back home to NY, I took my car to get it checked over since my headlights seemed dim and not aligned properly. When my trusted mechanic went to adjust the headlight, he said the adjusters were never put back in.. When we called to ask Mark about the adjusters, he told me to contact insurance, even though it was his shop's fault for not putting the adjusters back in! Please let my story serve as a warning that you should not take your car here to be repaired. I wish I had went with my gut instinct and taken it out of there ASAP. It would have saved me a lot of time, headaches, and money in the end. This place just tells you what you want to hear and they don't do their job properly.

After getting my car back, I found that my center console had been gone through and items were missing, including a full cup of change (mostly quarters) and a pair of sunglasses. This was not the condition of my vehicle when I dropped it off. When I tried to address the issue, I had to call multiple times and leave several messages before getting a response. It took repeated attempts to reach the owner. When I finally did, I was told there was no reason for anyone to access the center console and that their employees would not do such a thing. Rather than showing concern or willingness to look into what happened, the response felt dismissive and unsympathetic. I was also told the paperwork I signed protects them from any responsibility for missing items, while they denied any involvement and said they had photos showing the car, including the center console, untouched, even though they also stated there would be no reason for anyone to go into it. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication, lack of urgency in returning calls, and lack of empathy or effort to investigate the situation in a meaningful way. Unfortunately, my insurance required me to use an in-network repair facility, so I had little choice but to use this shop. Based on my experience, I would think twice before leaving your vehicle in their care. Fortunately, I had already removed most of my belongings.
