I will not be going back. Be prepared to wait hours, and feel rushed when you do get to see the Dr.

This is my best way of sharing what Dr Gulani and staff have meant to and done for me…read more GULANI's MISSION FOR VISION Arun Gulani -- a man on a mission. Helping other docs see his position The man loves to teach Wants to increase his reach Training others on improving vision. , Most of his patients.have heard "There's no fix for your vision that's blurred!" But Gulani says "No! That isn't so!" Through education he spreads the word. Gulani's patients are of one mind, A better eye surgeon you'll never find! Right from the start He calls it his art. He brings sight to those who are blind! Many ophthalmologists say There's not enough time in the day To study each case Learn each patient's face Rather than work hard they play. He knows every patient by name. For Dr Gulani it's not a game He works late at night To bring people sight. Their lives will forever be changed! Virgo is his astrological sign. He's a helper with an organized mind! He's quick to admit Ice cream's a big hit! Chocolate on everything's quite fine! It's been months since my condition Lead me to seek help from Gulani Vision. I do remember It was back in September Clearly it was the right decision! I'm pretty sure that I, more than most, Have given Gulani reason to boast. I'm not going to bluff My case was tough, Dr. Gulani and staff get my vote! Here's a toast to you and your style, There's just really no denial. When put to the test Gulani and staff are the best! Thanks for going the "extra mile!"

My experience with Dr. Gulani (TLDR version: Did not help my vision, dishonest, all hype, STEER…read moreCLEAR!) I try to avoid writing negative reviews, but I feel that the Gulani "hype" needs to be exposed to help save others from falling for it like I did. My history before visiting Dr. Gulani: I got RK in the '90s, 16 cuts in each eye. Left eye not so bad (20/30). Right eye was worse (20/50); I had been wearing a scleral lens for the last 10 years. It was great (easily 20/20) but as I got older, it was no longer correcting my vision enough, so I wanted to visit Dr. Gulani with the goal of not having to wear contacts or reading glasses. During the consultation, he promised me, "you'll be able to read and see far without glasses or lenses." I got the LaZrPlastique in the right eye in January 2026. My biggest worry was that it wouldn't correct my vision enough and I'd still need to get a new scleral to see clearly. Wow, was I wrong on multiple fronts. First off, my vision actually GOT WORSE after Dr. Gulani's surgery (20/100). If you're an RK patient, you know about multiple images--sit in a dark room with a single LED about 10 feet away (such as the red LED on a TV that's off). An RK patient will see a pattern of multiple LEDs due to the irregular astigmatism. Well, that pattern got LARGER (spread out more), not smaller, after LaZrPlastique. In simple terms, I now have "double vision." In technical terms, my astigmatism went from 2.4 D to 2.9 D as measured by an Oculus Pentacam. Second, perhaps the more disturbing aspect, is Dr. Gulani's response regarding astigmatism. I mentioned the Pentacam map and my multiple images and he basically shouted that I'm stupid, that "topography isn't vision...refraction is vision!" Well, guess what? He destroyed my topography and now I can't see! Refraction means nothing if you're seeing multiple of everything. I don't think he understands how important topography is (duh, why do you think scleral lenses work so well for us?). Third, he flat-out lied to me and said, "you're the only patient that has had this complaint." Any fool can read reviews and find numerous instances of similar results, and those reviews basically follow the same path--poor results, Dr. Gulani denies it, he tells them to just "wait for it to heal." I'm not stupid; I know it's healed, and I'm not going to waste ten years waiting to see if it heals more. And if you carefully study the Yelp reviews, you'll notice this swarm of invalidated positive reviews in bunched-up timeframes...faked, forced, or both? To be fair, the staff were all really nice and it's quite the experience the whole week you're there. But looking back, it seems like more of a big circus. "Well, that procedure is normally this price, but for you it's lower." How gimmicky is that? Dr. Gulani is so pompous, it'll make you vomit...the office is a shrine to his ego. He goes on and on about he's the only one who can do what he does, making a big show of "did my Canada patient land yet?" I think it's all in his head; his sense of self-importance is so inflated and I don't know if he's capable of admitting failure. I'm not going to sue him; I knew it was a gamble going in. I just didn't think the "best in the world" could possibly do such a bad job. I'm guessing his true success rate is much lower than the hype would lead you to believe. I'm sure Dr. Gulani has helped many people. I think if you have very low astigmatism (less than 0.5 D) but need a major refraction adjustment (let's say you're 20/200), Dr. Gulani might be able to take you down to 20/40. But because he's only doing PRK and not TG-PRK, he can't clear up your irregular astigmatism. Oh, and he called my local eye doctor a buffoon for writing "patient went to Florida to have surgery by a doctor who claims he can fix RK." Yeah. Real professional. I wish I got paid $20,000 a day and wasn't accountable for the results.

As someone said, be prepared to wait. I've been to her twice and both times had to wait an hour…read morepast my appt time to see her. This time in 2020 was even longer since they had to dilate my eyes (didn't tell me in advance). They don't accept vision insurance so I had to pay for the whole visit (I have high deductible medical insurance). I did have a medical issue so that was ok, just fyi. The dilation cost an extra $50 (which I was not told at the time). I actually didn't want it, but the aide said the doctor wouldn't see me if I didn't. I had to go back to work and didn't want blurry vision. It's not that they used the high-tech machine which I know costs more. The cost was $185 in all. As a patient it's hard breathe when you have a mask on and your face pushed into the machine. The front desk worker at the window didn't have a mask on, but patient were required to wear one. I think she later put one on when I came back to the window. The Dr is very nice and I think she's a good doctor but not worth waiting that long There were three office workers and you'd think they'd plan longer appointment times for patients, since she takes so long. I'll find a new ophthalmologist next time.

Michelle Murray was incredible--she guided me through every step of the process, answered all of my questions with patience and compassion, and gave me hope when other doctors had turned me away or failed to show the same level of care and understanding. Her kindness, knowledge, and encouragement made all the difference for me. Dr. Michelle Diaz, who performed my LASIK procedure, was equally amazing. She was professional, reassuring, and highly skilled, making me feel completely confident and at ease on surgery day. The procedure itself was quick, smooth, and much easier than I expected. Because of the outstanding care I received from both Michelle Murray and Dr. Diaz, I will absolutely be recommending Atlantic Eye to my family--not only for LASIK, but also for regular eye care appointments as well. It is rare to find a team that combines expertise with genuine compassion, and Atlantic Eye has truly earned my trust and my family's future business.

I feel that because my appointment was made through the VA I wasn't as high of a priority as the others who arrived well after me. The front desk representatives were not rude, but they certainly were not friendly. The GPS location on Apple Maps brings you to the front parking lot of the building to where there isn't a sign telling you where to go for the office. I had to call the eye institute to ask where the place was and the person told me she didn't know because she worked for a third party call vendor. Also, check the waivers they ask you to sign regarding third party sharing - I would not recommend approving. All around efforts earned a 0. The silver lining is that I provided my feedback to the VA to ensure other veterans can receive community care at a vendor who does appreciate their business - not this location.

The mandatory follow-up felt disorganized and impersonal. All patients were scheduled at the same time, which made the process feel rushed and overcrowded rather than patient-focused. The "lifetime warranty" was emphasized in a way that felt more like pressure than a benefit. I was told the follow-up appointment would take 15-20 minutes, but it ended up taking closer to two hours. For comparison, the actual procedure only took about 40 minutes. There didn't seem to be much respect for patients' time, and I was not given the option to reschedule. Hearing explanations about staffing call-outs during an appointment related to my vision did not inspire confidence. Bottom line: great results from the procedure itself, but the customer service and follow-up experience need significant improvement.
