The mandatory follow-up felt disorganized and impersonal. All patients were scheduled at the same time, which made the process feel rushed and overcrowded rather than patient-focused. The "lifetime warranty" was emphasized in a way that felt more like pressure than a benefit. I was told the follow-up appointment would take 15-20 minutes, but it ended up taking closer to two hours. For comparison, the actual procedure only took about 40 minutes. There didn't seem to be much respect for patients' time, and I was not given the option to reschedule. Hearing explanations about staffing call-outs during an appointment related to my vision did not inspire confidence. Bottom line: great results from the procedure itself, but the customer service and follow-up experience need significant improvement.

My eye was swollen, my vision started to become blurry, and it was uncomfortable. I called Atlantic Eye Institute to see if they could fit me in for a same day appointment. I was NOT holding out hope, but when I called I was pleasantly surprised they had something open that afternoon. When I arrived I filled out virtual paperwork, and then waited in the lobby until my name was called. I can't remember the nurse I had, but she was pleasant, asked a bunch of questions regarding the state of my eye, did some observations, and then walked me to an open room. Dr. Diaz came in happy as a clam. Greeted me with a nurse. I told her I was sorry that my eye looked disgusting and she smiled and said these are interesting to us. So that made me feel somewhat better. After looking at my eye, she decided to drain the stye, due to the size, the discomfort I was having. It didn't hurt, she prescribed me a steroid antibiotic cream, and made me a follow up appointment and I was on my way. I was happy and grateful they could fit me in on the same day, because I was miserable before I came in.

Optical department definitely needs a remake on customer service…read more I dropped off an old frame to get fitted with new lenses in good condition only to be called back letting me know they broke my frame and I would have to pay for a new frame (their error but I paid the price) ? I called management - they promised I would receive a call back from the manager in optical - I've yet to receive a call or my refund that I paid! And to put the cherry on top of my experience - when collecting my new glasses - I was told they were upfront in the reception area. Normally when you get new frames - the optical technician checks to see if the glasses fit properly but they refused to do and I am appalled at this since I paid for a new frame! And all this because I called to make a complaint that I had to pay for a new frame when I left my old frame in good condition. Atlantic eye institute do better with your optical customer service!!! I was expecting a call back from optical which I never did receive! I was expecting my refund on a frame that I had to pay for which no mention was made of. And most certainly was expecting when picking up my new frame that a fitting would have been taken care of and see how the glasses fit but instead they were left at reception - absolutely appalling!

Michelle Murray was incredible--she guided me through every step of the process, answered all of my questions with patience and compassion, and gave me hope when other doctors had turned me away or failed to show the same level of care and understanding. Her kindness, knowledge, and encouragement made all the difference for me. Dr. Michelle Diaz, who performed my LASIK procedure, was equally amazing. She was professional, reassuring, and highly skilled, making me feel completely confident and at ease on surgery day. The procedure itself was quick, smooth, and much easier than I expected. Because of the outstanding care I received from both Michelle Murray and Dr. Diaz, I will absolutely be recommending Atlantic Eye to my family--not only for LASIK, but also for regular eye care appointments as well. It is rare to find a team that combines expertise with genuine compassion, and Atlantic Eye has truly earned my trust and my family's future business.

I went in for an updated glasses prescription and left with contacts(I received an updated glasses prescription as well), which for me is a really big deal..... I have tried contacts in the past, and it has always been a frustrating experience. These guys heard my concerns, and still thought they could help me, so I gave them a chance. They were so patient and found the perfect contacts for me (something I thought would never be found). I can't even believe the amount of time they spend with you o make sure you really get the hang of it. I finally felt confident, and I was so excited because I am getting married soon and I thought I would never in a million years not be able to go without my glasses for the wedding, but now I can! The pricing was super affordable compared to what I have seen out there. I also have VSP so the cost of the vision exam was very low, but because I also went with contacts there was the contacts fitting fee which was very low. I think I spent around $70 out of pocket (this includes any applicable copay I had) for a well vision exam, a contacts fitting, glasses and contacts prescriptions and a little left over for the cost of the contacts (after my VSP allowance was applied maybe like $8) I will definitely be referring anyone I know to these guys, and will continue coming back! :)
