The visit was well over 2 hours. While I was waiting I notice a testing room with a window and it was dark and 2 young ladies were in there talking they were there about 10 mins and got up & left. One of the girls came back to the waiting area I was in and called me back. The front desk staff were very friendly, nice & willing to help. The building was very odd shaped which made it difficult to find the front door. I've decided to find another eye specialist.

Since they have a lifetime guarantee, I contacted LasikPlus to schedule another consultation. They did an eye exam to confirm what I was reporting, and since I did not have the need to go see a regular eye doctor since having Lasik. I was a good candidate for another re-treatment for my right eye only, my left eye was still 20/20. Because I already had Lasik done before, I was a good candidate for PRK and scheduled the surgery. Dr. Orta is still there and she is just as wonderful and pleasant as ever, and remembered me from 6 years ago. She did my initial eye exam and explained that PRK would be the best choice for a re-treatment, and that the recovery time would take longer. I prepared for surgery day and took a week off work. Dr. Endicott did my surgery, and he was also great with putting me at ease before, during, and after the surgery (even though it was my second go around). They do surgeries on Fridays only due to the recovery time, and there were five people before me getting the surgery as well. One patient was very nervous, but Dr. Endicott and the staff assisting were awesome with keeping them comfortable. The aftermath was not as bad as I remembered the first time, and I was given the medicated eye drops and pain pills if I needed them. The only downside was NO electronics (phone, TV, etc.) for five days and to only drive when I feel confortable. I had two more follow up appointments to make sure my eye healed and that my vision was corrected. Everything turned out great and I was told I don't have to get an eye exam in the future, only again if I notice any changes in my vision. The best part? I only paid for the eye drops out of pocket. The lifetime guarantee covered the eye exams, re-treatment and the pre and post-op visits. Dr. Orta, Dr. Endicott and the staff of LasikPlus were fantastic as always.

The mandatory follow-up felt disorganized and impersonal. All patients were scheduled at the same time, which made the process feel rushed and overcrowded rather than patient-focused. The "lifetime warranty" was emphasized in a way that felt more like pressure than a benefit. I was told the follow-up appointment would take 15-20 minutes, but it ended up taking closer to two hours. For comparison, the actual procedure only took about 40 minutes. There didn't seem to be much respect for patients' time, and I was not given the option to reschedule. Hearing explanations about staffing call-outs during an appointment related to my vision did not inspire confidence. Bottom line: great results from the procedure itself, but the customer service and follow-up experience need significant improvement.

Front staff was very friendly each time I visited. I went in for an updated glasses prescription and left with contacts(I received an updated glasses prescription as well), which for me is a really big deal..... I have tried contacts in the past, and it has always been a frustrating experience. These guys heard my concerns, and still thought they could help me, so I gave them a chance. They were so patient and found the perfect contacts for me (something I thought would never be found). I can't even believe the amount of time they spend with you o make sure you really get the hang of it. I finally felt confident, and I was so excited because I am getting married soon and I thought I would never in a million years not be able to go without my glasses for the wedding, but now I can! The pricing was super affordable compared to what I have seen out there. I also have VSP so the cost of the vision exam was very low, but because I also went with contacts there was the contacts fitting fee which was very low. I think I spent around $70 out of pocket (this includes any applicable copay I had) for a well vision exam, a contacts fitting, glasses and contacts prescriptions and a little left over for the cost of the contacts (after my VSP allowance was applied maybe like $8) I will definitely be referring anyone I know to these guys, and will continue coming back! :)

After dealing with the hassles at Eyeglass World for the last two years, I decided to try a different approach. These folks know the value of excellent service. Despite my teenage daughter browsing their selection for nearly 2 hours without choosing frames from them, they maintained their friendly, non-pushy attitude and really seemed to care more about my daughter's happiness with her choice than about making a buck. She's 15 and must have taken 20 pictures with different frames and "twitted, or twitterd, or whatever" to just about every friend she has... "Do you like these or these?" At the end of that timeframe I was ready to scream, but they just offered us juice, water or soda. Our family will make this their first choice every time.

MY THREE STARS IS FOR THE STAFF OF THIS OFFICE-THEY ARE TOP NOTCH:…read moreI've really searched within my soul before considering this review. After the last 3 appointments with Dr Islam, I strongly believe my review is warranted. I have been seeing Dr Islam for just over a year and a half. After just having being diagnosed with my eye condition, I started my appts with this Dr. After the first eye drop Rx not being completely successful, she suggested an eye drop that could possibly change my eye color dark. I asked if there were alternative drops that wouldn't do this......there was. Why, would the first one be suggested then?? Why? So, it's been a few series of visits, and each one has its own story but EACH AND EVERY appointment she mentions laser surgery. WHY, if my eye drops are working, would I consider having laser eye surgery?? To go down from 2 eye drops rx's to one?? That is not enough reason & there is no guarantee that the laser surgery would work, as in the case of my very dear friend. When I ask questions, she has a smile but her responses are incredibly smug. She throws me off with her smugness, because she does it with a smile, but she is absolutely smug, and condescending, with her replies. I'm really losing my confidence with her. This is the condensed version, but she has no problems setting up frequent & follow up appointments when a problem has resolved. I advised that I cannot come every week, but I will call if I have a continued problem, due to co-pays. The Dr, I'm sure did not even realize she LITERALLY shrugged her shoulders when I said that. Like, that is not her concern (high co pays). Well, I saved myself another copay by letting her know that if I have any additional issues, I will make an appointment. Did I really need to go back every week for an entire month? I have to leave from my appointments feeling like there is a piece missing to this puzzle. I'm sure I will never get the entire picture, but I will try 1 more appointment and see if I can start to have renewed confidence in this Dr. If not, I will change Dr's or change facilities. I need to feel confident with whom is providing me treatment. Right now, it's really slim.

She said she wanted me to return for another test. Whole thing took about 30 minutes more or less what I'm used to. So we arrived today at our appointment time. It was 30 minutes to be seen for the first tests, one for my peripheral vision. Then they tested my eye pressure and vision and sent me back to the waiting room to see the optometrist. And I'm still waiting. It's been 35 minutes. By the time I see the optometrist it will have been a two hour appointment which, I can most certainly say, is the longest appointment I've ever had at an optometrist in 62 years of wearing glasses. And I'm still not sure why I'm here. I'd understand if I had some kind of eye disease or process that requires extensive testing. But this? As I said I'm still not sure why I am here. So once I'm seen it's the last time I'll come here. Don't get me wrong. The staff are nice and professional. But this is a ridiculous wait for an ordinary appointment. You'd think I was at the ER.
