I know I had seen an Asian health and beauty store at First Markham place. Apparently Beauty Garden has been open at this location for 5 months. They also have another location at Pacific Mall. The store employee was very helpful in directing me to the eyeliner section, and was patient at explaining the difference between various brands of similar looking liquid eyeliner. I was able to find my product of choice which retails there for $20 (tax included). Expensive, I know, but worth it considering I use it everyday and it is one of the few eyeliners that applies smoothly but resists smudging despite my oily skin and wears all day. Beauty Garden sells a variety of products including false eyelashes, various eyebrow cosmetics, hair care and colouring products, feminine hygiene products, as well as Asian brands of incontinence products. The majority of their products are imported from Korea and Japan, including popular facial sheet masks and skin care masks. They currently have a special on those masks: 5 boxes for $100. Beauty Garden has a fairly limited selection. I have seen some similar stores at Pacific Mall that have more variety and that carry more premium products. As for me, I was just happy to find my eyeliner at First Markham Place to save me a trip to Pacific Mall where finding parking is often a much bigger hassle.

Plus they have a few brands you won't find in Sephora like a brand from Iceland, Darphin etc. By chance I picked up one of those magnifying mirrors (18x magnification) and scared myself shitless! Do i really look like that up close?! Ughh...i thought I plucked my eyebrows pretty decently. Well oh my..not even close to a decent job! I ran all the way to the counter to pay for my mew best friend. I remember they used to have a brow bar where you could get your brows done but I don't recall seeing it this time. Murale does carry a lot of new brands I don't see anywhere else so if you are into trying new products, Murale would not be a bad stop. Later in the night, I went on their website and checked out all the products they carry - that is a good start to see if the store carries your particular brand. The ONE thing I love, of course, is the fact that you can redeem your Optimum points, and because some of the products here range $200-$300, it would be great to save up all your points and splurge here. Not sure if it would be a good idea, but Murale does a lot of makeup sessions, and I have always wanted to try the Chanel seminar. This is a place I wouldn't come out of my way, but it is nice to drop in when in the area. Debbie is located inside the Galleria Supermarket plaza, where there are some other shops as well. I have been here on at least 2 occasions now. First was for a bb cream (approx $40) & second for false lashes (forgot price) & glue ($ 5.99). Each time, sales associate Esther helped w/ recommendations. Very nice lady & gave me a lot of samples to try. I was not familiar w/ the lash glues at all. Honestly I used to use it once and that's the end of it's life. But the glue they have in stock at Debbie's was absolutely amazing! First off, it was in black (thought it only came in white?!), so if you're a newbie applying lashes, it will be perfect since it hides any mess you make. It stayed in tact for hours & is a good quality glue. Smooth & not clumpy...like a new bottle of white out (if anyone uses those anymore). The price was excellent as well, much lower than any local pharmacy, MAC, etc. The lashes purchased have been reused on at least six occasions. They also felt very comfortable on. Make sure to clean it thoroughly & take care of it after you have removed it. Love it! Lots of other beauty products (skin cream, makeup, tools, etc.) Definitely worth checking out!

The sales girl seemed somewhat disinterested (maybe it was too late at night?) but did somewhat help me pick the lashes. I was curious as I saw a room at the back and found out they also did mani/pedis, facials and eye lash extensions. But she didn't seem too interested in telling me more about it. Well that's fine. Never have I ever had an eye irritation or felt discomfort during the past years of experience with Shades Lashes. Dianne keeps the studio sparkling clean. She has good hygiene, and always wears a mask (even before covid happened).
