Would give 0 stars if I had that option, calamari came with a side of hair and either mold or a piece of dish sponge. Absolutely disgusting, and to rectify the situation (after taking away the uneaten dirty calamari) they simply just took it off our bill but considering we didn't eat it that hardly makes up for the situation. Other foods were tasteless(we had 4 different dishes) and they are extremely stingy with the portions especially the protein of each dish considering the price. The Penang curry is fantastic, I ask for a medium spice level. The consistency is always spot on and the Jasmine rice complemented this dish very well. The spring rolls are also very tasty. I will continue to use this premises for my Thai meals. read more

I've experienced better for sure. I usually have a better time at this restaurant at other locations - this particular location did not satisfy. I ordered a curry dish with rice and it barely satisfied me - the portions were tiny. The side of veggies my dish came with did not look fresh and the portion was measly. I was also not pleased with the service - my coworker had some questions about the dishes due to allergies and preferences, and the waiter clearly didn't know what ingredients were in the dishes and answered very uncertainly as if he was guessing. We ordered from Suko Thai recently in lieu of our other thai place. I always order pad thai at a new place as a good judge of how much I will like it. This pad thai was okay, but lacking so of the necessary flavour. Thank God I ordered extra peanut sauce and added basil. My bf ordered the mango stir fry and he seemed to really enjoy it. I had a bite, it did have a nice balance of spicy and sweet. Served over coconut rice made it perfect. We will order again but will dose it up with some of my own flavours. read more

My friend and I got seated right away on a Saturday evening. It took awhile for someone to come to our table to ask what we would like to drink. In fact, when someone finally did come she asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. So we ordered our food AND drinks at the same time. I did a rough timing and it took just over 20 minutes for our food to arrive. Ehhh, a little too long. My friend got the cashew nut chicken and I got the pad Thai. I know some Thai places don't automatically include rice with certain dishes but to not include it with a cashew nut chicken dish?? Seems like a rip. I know a lot of other places that include rice, a larger portion of the main dish AND is cheaper. My pad Thai was pretty good though. Didn't have that orangey colour that pad Thai usually does but still tasted the way it was supposed to. Service here is not great. No one came to check on us at all. The only time I was able to flag someone down was when the table next to us got up to call someone over. At this time I asked for the bill, takeout boxes and a water for my friend. I figured I might as well get everything over with before we have to wait for an extended time again. I won't return. Service wasn't there and the prices are meh. I used to love this place when it was still in its old location on Winston Churchill and Dundas. I didn't know they reopened the place, so I actually got excited when I drove by and saw the restaurant. Anyhow, it was a Friday afternoon at 1pm. The place was quiet. May be the prime time for lunch had ended? I ordered a tom-yum noodles soup with shrimps. It came with a small spring roll as appetizer. The flavour in the soup was lacking. Fragrance and heat was also very mild. I couldn't feel any "kick" to it. However the Thai styled iced tea was delicious and refreshing. Price wasn't cheap for lunch either. With the noodles soup and a drink, it came to almost $17 with tax. I was a bit disappointed in this experience. May be I expected too much from them... read more

I'd like to give this 3.5. Atmosphere is nice. Service was great. Mind you it was Monday night so it was quiet and we pretty much had a the whole place to ourselves. We ordered vegetable spring rolls, two pad thai, and ginger chicken with vegetables with rice. Overall it tasted great. Very flavourful. My fave though was the coconut rice. Soooo good! Could order a bunch of bowls of just that. The serving for pad thai was decent, but the chicken ginger was tiny. So if you're starving, I'd suggest to stick with pad thai cause that was filling! Stopped in here randomly before a movie to try something new. The servers were really friendly and helped give suggestions for my boyfriend who is allergic to rice. The food overall was good, the portions were a little small however. The biggest complaint I have is that they had extremely slow service. Our go to place from the office. The food is always fresh and always delicious. I usually order the chicken pad Thai - it's my fav thing on the menu. Comes with a spring roll all for under $10. The service is AWFUL I just came back from dinner and I ordered the following: Spring Rolls Green Curry Chicken Suko Pad Thai The server didn't bring us the spring rolls so I can't comment on that. The other two dishes were delicious as always. But we waited about 50 minutes before we got them. Their main priority is the Uber orders. The customers who dine in are second priority. If you go to dine in, expect awful service with delicious food. My recommendation is to order out - not dine in. The dine in experience is miserable. read more

Decent Thai option in Oakville. I would rate them above Funky Thai and Spoon & Fork. The spring rolls are excellent and remind me of Young Thailand's spring rolls crispy and well proportioned filling. Our mains of Tom yum soup and seafood soup were both enjoyable. I added udon noodles to the soup as it was sparse but the flavor was spot on. We also enjoyed the chicken cashew fried rice. Went before the movies for dinner with my girlfriend, we both had curry. A very small dish for 11$. Though flavorful not enough curry at all - which is unacceptable. This place is nothing like the flagship Sukothai in downtown Toronto. Food is not bad but the Khao Soi is much much better in the 3 branches in Toronto. I asked for mild and they served very spicy with a noticeable difference in meat quality. Overall service was subpar compared to the other branches. read more

Compared to the location in downtown, this place doesnt live up to its reputation. The yellow curry was a little watered down and the flavor as a result was a bit bland. Customer service was pretty good and the place was clean to dine. I would ask the original owners to come down and relook at the operations in the kitchen and see what can be done to bring the quality to par in comparison to their location. I would give Suko Thai a 3.5. Suko Thai overall is a great place to eat, from the Mango Salad to the Jasmine Rice. Me and my family have went to Suko Thai multiple times, and our favourite dish their is the Mango Salad and Fried Chicken Wings. The food is delicious but service isn't that good... it takes an awful lot of time for the food to come to my table. DH and I have been been a customer for over 5 years. Takeout, delivery and eat in. The food is very good, fresh and made with quality ingredients. Suko Thai has always been a bit more expensive, however the quality was worth it. The reason for only three stars is it seems portions have gone down as of late. Three weeks ago we ordered over $100 in delivery and there was barely enough for six adults to have a small plate of food each half filled with rice. Then two days ago we picked up the large shrimp tom yum soup for $18.95. DH went in to get the soup and came out with a bag. Get home and it ends up being two containers. One is a clear small size soup container, filled. If I had of purchased this size, cost would have been $6.95. Second is a small black/clear rectangular plastic container, half filled with the rest of the soup. If I had of poured the contents from the black/clear container into an empty clear small soup one, it would not have filled the container. Therefore I paid $18.95 for about $12 worth of soup and had I of purchased two small for $13.90 it would have been more soup for less money than what I paid and received. I will say the soup had about 10 shrimp in it so I was satisfied with that, however I expected more broth. That is not enough soup for 3-4 as it states in the menu. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon. read more

Tom Yum soup tasted like bland water and filled with lemon grass that would make it border line impossible to eat due to it causing you to choke. Very good Thai place... The owners and servers are from Thailand & really know what they're doing. The fried foods are sometimes a lot greasier than you would like but I think they do their best to try & strain the oil before serving. I would highly recommend the Shrimp Rangoon & Basil Duck. A girlfriend and I went to this restaurant before out movie. After being seated we waited and waited for fifteen minutes and there was no waiter to take out drink order. We had to go to the bar ourselves and ordered a Cosmo. But the waiter did not know what that was!!! We then made it easier for him and requested a double vodka and cranberry juice. He didn't know what "double" shot of vodka was!!! After a long explanation he provided the drinks and they were strong. We requested more vodka and he brought half a glass of cranberry juice to our table. We proceeded to order our meal. We both had the Phad Thai and it was bland and not authentic as the dish should taste. The restaurant was full by this point and we had a difficult time obtaining the attention of the two waiters to ask for our bill. Once we received the bill, we noticed that the restaurant had charged us each $1.59 for the extra cranberry juice for the drink that wasn't made correctly!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. We were in a rush to go to our movie. The waiter never informed us there would be a charge of $3.18 for a half glass of cranberry juice which was "watered" down. I was SHOCKED. We wanted to pay by debit and we had to trouble ourselves to go to the bar to use the interact machine as the waiter couldn't bring one to our table. I am always pleasant and always leave at least a 15% tip. But for the first time in my life I didn't tip. This place is to be AVOIDED. Rude staff, terrible service and charges on your bill that are not called for. read more

Everything on the menu that I have tried has been amazing (and I have been going to them faithfully since they opened at their first location Winston Churchill & Laird) Their pad thai is like no other I have tried.... I prefer the glass noodle pad thai I would recommend any of the following: glass noodle pad thai, cashew nut chicken, pad-prik king chicken, piew-wan chicken, ginger beef, mango chicken, pad ke-mao, pad se-ew, pineapple fried rice, and the piew-waan fish.
