    Yellow curry with tofu
    Angela F.

I met a friend here on a weekday night. It was my first time here. There is parking right on Main Street but also ample parking behind the restaurant as well. It was pretty quiet as there were only two other tables with customers. The decor felt very Thai with lots of fake flowers and strings of lights. Our server was just lovely in every way. I ordered the yellow curry with tofu, medium spicy. I cannot remember what my friend ordered but it was vegetarian also and they were very pleased. My yellow curry came out nice and hot with the perfect amount of rice on the side. I absolutely loved this dish! There were chunks of white potato, sweet potato, tofu, green beans, tomato and pineapple in a delicious coconut milk broth. I ate every bit of this dish and sadly I had to deny my urge to lick the bowl! I would love to return for lunch on a weekend to try other vegetarian options.

My wife and I came on a busy Saturday for lunch. We were greeted and sat at a table of our choice immediately. The interior is unchanged from previous ownership and was nice and clean. The staff were friendly and attentive to our requests. We ordered two apps, the fresh spring rolls with shrimp and fried veggie spring rolls. For our mains we ordered the lunch specials, drunken noodles and spicy noodles with wonton soup and hot tea. Everything was delicious, and we couldn't tell any difference from the previous ownership. We will definitely be going back.

The restaurant felt a bit dark and gloomy as the decor and seating was a bit dated. The owners seem friendly and were very polite when serving us. The flavors of the food were very good, but my curry did come out less than warm which was disappointing. There wasn't much of it as well so for the price, I thought it was a bit lackluster.

It was maybe 10 minutes later when I got there and my order was already ready! It was still nice and hot so I was pretty impressed. It was $24 for both items which wasn't terrible at all. The restaurant was pretty empty but also quite dark. No hostess at the front--the loud slam of the door was enough to alert someone to come assist me. The level 4 spice I got on my Pad Thai was terrific--noticeable spice and got my sweat ready to drip.. but not crazy spicy where it was inedible. I was also able to taste the nice tang from the pad thai sauce. Chicken was cooked nicely. Overall no complaints. Very tasty! The mango sticky rice was a great end to the meal. The sticky rice was still warm and there was a generous amount of mango to top it. They had the coconut sauce in a separate container which I appreciated. The sauce was more on the runny side, so I wished it was a bit more thick. Overall though, so so tasty. Subtly sweet and had great balance of flavors. I would definitely come back, but for take out only as the vibes inside the restaurant was not quite it.

And I liked the Tom yum soup and much had just the right mix of flavors. But then the rest of the meal just kinda fell apart. The pad Thai was not great. The noodles were mushy and the dish was fairly flavorless. Chicken in the dish however was tasty. The other dish we got was also devoid of much flavor too. It was like they designed Thai food without much seasoning or perhaps the regular crowd lies it that way. But for me, not a fan. Ultimately it was just a disappointing visit. Had hoped for more.

The inside is very "unique" its decorated somewhat like a bad dream mixed with animal pelts. The pho was disappointing. This was my first visit, so I ordered cautiously ... only two apps that are typically my favorites in a Thai restaurant. 1) shrimp fresh roll (aka summer roll) 2) tom yum soup Both were good. The fresh roll was the best of the lot and the sauce was excellent. I wish the veggies were a little colder. But that's splitting hairs. The soup was good. Had more funk than spice. Portion was borderline small - but happy I tried it. I will absolutely be back to try more "real" food. I appreciated the service and felt very well taken care of. What keeps me from giving a better score were a few, housekeeping items: 1) while I was pleased to see each table gets a lovely carafe of water, that water is really difficult to drink. It has a metallic and "funky" taste to it. It kind of turned me off to wanting to eat more before I ordered as I was then questioning "is this water in everything?" 2) my shoes kept sticking to the floor. Not out of filth/dirt, but it felt like the soap or floor cleaner they used was somehow still there and sticky. None of this impacted the food. But it put me in a mindset where I didn't really want to order an abundance of food and try it all. To be clear: I will be back. I can't wait to try some other dishes.
